Do I have to replace the mig liner if I go up in wire size? I bought my first mig welder. The MIG welder is currently set up for solid wire 0.6. I want to do flux core .9. I have a 0.9 tip and the .9 feeder wheel. Do I need to increase the size of the MIG wire liner, or does the migliner just come in one size? What liner should I use for a flux/core .9 (.035) wire?
Clamping down too tightly on the drive rolls will also cause the wire to curl. This causes the copper coating on the wire to rub the inside if the liner. Over time the powder-fine shavings of the coating will build up in the liner right where conductor tube on the gun curves and eventually cause a plug.
Hey Benjamin, you can get these liners from Praxair, Airgas, or most any of your local welding goods distributors. These liners are made specifically for our MIG guns, so if you want to try ours in particular, would need to try our gun out. But we fit almost any commercial welding machine.
Great videos, I have binged and watched as many as possible. Great information and knowledge that you really can't learn anywhere else. I have a few questions. I am going to purchase your Abimig 250 amp air cooled gun with Euro connect. What is the maximum length that you recommend running wire sizes between .030 and .045 , steel and flux cored? Is there an online welding supply or Amazon dealer that has your products? Your sales rep. for Southern California gave me a couple of welding supplies. I spoke to them gave them all the spec.s and consumables and they have yet to respond back after a week. I deal with Air Gas and are no better, they try to steer people away from anything they are not used to dealing with.
