I'm pretty sure they are disabled transferring for like a week or so. That way people don't try to get a 6 hr head start and then transfer the characters from EU servers to NA servers and get that 6 hr head start.
3:49 - probably some clarification is needed. This is kinda on Amazon, but for UTC it is already October 15th. It starts October 14th 8:30 PM PT - so +7 hours gives October 15th, 3:30 AM UTC.
Yeah they definitely should! Already hearing from people who are stuck in the wrong region because they wanted to be able to play the game while their own servers were dead
I played NW at launch for about 3 months and just looping back now, so new player content will be good. I'm sure a lot of the info returning players know is now outdated.
I played each christmas/winter from launch, you will have a great time, even if it is only a few months at a time still. The game is improved massively compared to last year (I played beta up through being sent to Everfall).
Welp ye the early game experience is still super fun and you have a lot on the clock but when you reach endgame the game is still suffering from the bad endgame content loop
hello new world community I haven't been on in about 5 months I am coming back for the Oct 15th release, is it there any benefit to making a new char or just continuing with the one I already have?
A lot of the early action will likely be on the new Standard servers. Even most oldschool players that I know will primarily be playing there. In larger regions legacy servers will be fine, but Standard servers would be my main recommendation
I am annoyed I can't play my account PS and PC. I suppose they don't want my money... as I would have bought PS version had I been able to play my character cross devices.
I just bought my wife an xbox and have talked her into trying the game. What weapon pair would you suggest for her to try first? She is afraid of melee combat, so I thought I would start her off as a mystic with the lifestaff & vg. I'm hoping using the void blade once in a while will get her more comfortable with melee and maybe progress into flail or something. I'm not worried about optimal or anything, I just want her to have fun. What would be a fun & easy pair with lifestaff? Thanks.
Your not locked into any specific weapon set so swapping to another to try it out is super easy. It's one of the things ags has done right. Also putting amber gems in weapons will allow the weapon to scale with focus if she plans on using a life staff. Respec attribute is cheap and easy so trying new weapons is always an option. Don't ever feel locked into a weapon combo while having fun and enjoying the game. Endgame there is obviously stuff that works better than others.
You can pair just about any weapon with life staff as long as you give it a gem with Focus scaling. For leveling, that can be a bit annoying though. You *can* use Ice Gauntlet because it provides a lot of utility, but personally I'd prefer Void gauntlet for the partial Focus scaling. She could also dip her toes into a little bit of melee combat via Life Staff + Flail, because the Flail is a very defensive, high utility weapon. You spend very little time actually hitting people and you get a shield to block with. Otherwise, for pure ranged gameplay I'd prefer other combinations like Fire Staff + Ice Gauntlet.
think they locked it by regions becuse they cant fix the regions transfer bugs lmao me US east char is stuck since 2 years ** and im not the only ppl whit this problem :D

Exactly, during the initial launch people were playing on EU servers from other regions that it hadn't been released to yet.

I think this relaunch is going to be quite hectic. But its exciting. I cant play on tuesday anyway so I will be joining on wednesday.
