Here is the 1st part of my 5th and last step
I make you visit the city of Trapani, I propose you to discover it and to explore it with me

DETAILS:
After visiting the Egade Islands (Levanzo, Favignana and Marretimo) and after visiting Erice, the medieval village, I ended my journey in Trapani.
I arrived from Erice by funicular
This ancient Phoenician port was colonized by the Romans, the Vandals, the Byzantines and the Muslims, the latter having left their couscous there, which has become a specialty of the city (the couscous Trapanese)
The main artery of the city is the street "Corso Vittorio Emanuele" which is pedestrian and so much the better because in the city there are cars everywhere, it is hell! Even in the small streets of the historical center!
The street "Via Garibaldi" is also pedestrianized.
You absolutely have to take the walk along the sea on the promenade that starts from the "Bastione Conca" and that arrives at the square of the old fish market ("Piazza Ex Mercato del Pesce") which is magnificent with its arcades and its small central fountain.
If you have a little time, I suggest you to continue the walk along the coast, which starts from the square of the old fish market and leads you first to a sand bank called "Spiaggia Piazza Vittorio Emanuele".
And then to the "Tonnara di San Giuliano" which is also called "Tonnara Tipa", it is an old abandoned tuna factory (it is not in activity since 1961)
Near the tower "Torre di Ligny" you will find a beautiful seaside with houses clinging to the rocks.
It is called "Piazzetta del Tramonto".
I advise you to get lost in the small shady streets of the historic center and look everywhere, you will find wonders whether it is courtyards, patios or other palaces and churches.
This is how I discovered the palace: "Palazzo Todaro".
I don't know if you can visit it but the courtyard is very beautiful (as well as the stairs)

Merci Jeremie pour ta video, j’avais l’impression d’y être en personne! Je ne m’attendais pas du tout à ce que trapani soit aussi grand! J’imaginais un petit village! Je vais être en Sicile fin Octobre et donc je vais faire une visite d’une journée de Palermo et visiter aussi Erice, apparemment très joli. Est-ce que tu as bien aimé la Sicile? Bonjour : est-ce que vous connaissez la signification des mots "sublime", "merveilleux" "magnifique" "de toute beauté" "superbe" "incroyable" ? Franchement donner de tels qualificatifs à de vielles maisons sans âme souvent délabrées ? Des ruelles sans aucune personnalité, des bords de mer d'une banalité à bailler ... Sans parler de l'ancienne usine à thon qui n'est qu'une ruine industrielle sans aucun intérêt historique et encore moins touristique... Il aurait été plus intéressant de nous faire visite l'église où se déroulait le mariage qui semblait avoir une réelle valeur touristique et culturelle...
En effet il est dommage que votre regard d'enfant soit enfouie sous une épaisse couche d'aigreur et de négativité....
Aucun intérêt, rien d'intéressant sur Trapani. C'est dommage !

En effet c'est dommage que vous ne trouviez aucun intérêt aux petites rues de la vieille ville, à la découverte de cet ancien palais, à la longue promenade qui longe la côte et à l'ancien marché aux poissons avec ces arcades (qui est l'un des plus bel endroit de la ville dans tous les guides et blogs sur internet)
Je ne vous conseille donc pas d'aller à Trapani, vous allez vous ennuyer....
