This was a great video! I want to save and review the reports. I remember your experience with your Chanel. Something I always think about is whether a style that’s super trendy is even worth buying from a luxury house because chances are in a year, or maybe even less, it might not be something in demand and also one that will drop a lot in resale value. In general, it’s a safer bet to go with a classic shape.
I completrly agree about trendy vs classic styles. I pass on trendy bags unless it’s a trend that goes with my personal style and I would wear it no matter what. Thanks for watching Dawn!
Great tips! I made a lot of mistakes in the beginning and ended up selling for a loss in most cases. Your first point is so important…..that resale value is not guaranteed, even for iconic bags.
Absolutely! I always used to hear people refer to the classics as “investment bags” and unfortunately, it’s a costly lesson to learn that’s not always true.
A luxury purchase should be envisioned as throwing money in the trash. If you can’t afford to take a financial loss on an object because you wanna let it go then you can’t afford it because even if it appreciates in value… due to sellers fees on platforms and consignment costs you WILL LOSE MONEY

Thanks so much Yota! I’m so happy you enjoyed this one! 🥰
So true about the resale value of items & consignment shops. But it’s a perk to know if a handbag will retain its value over time. Great video! ❤❤
