You do realize most of the guns used in Chicago come from the surrounding states with more relaxed gun laws. They are purchased legally then resold illegally in IL.

when i was one, I was in BED at 9.15pm
I lived in that area before, and I moved because of the violence. If you have young children, it’s honestly better to get out before something like this happens to you. When the police were called, they didn’t respond right away to the call…. they would come like 30 or 40 minutes after until they knew that the coast was clear and that they didn’t run any risks or danger. When I lived there I remember a young man laid out on the street for about 30 minutes dead before anyone arrived. May that young child rest in peace. I hope everyone who is innocent makes a full recovery.

I grew up in Back of the Yards when it was a predominately Irish neighborhood and never knew of a single shooting incident. Today even the police stay out of the neighborhood unless they are accompanied by a SWAT team.
