Look at something like Path of Exile. You can spend assinine amounts of money in that game but nobody really cares for a couple reasons. The biggest being there is ZERO pay to win, and the devs have made that game so incredible that players will almost always give the devs the benefit of the doubt if something is released that isn't great because the absolutely will listen to their community and fix it. That's the issue with most other devs. Most devs seem to pull this crap with, 1st season (no pay to win). 2nd and 3rd season (very slight pay to win that people don't really notice). 4th season (enough pay to win that it causes some complaining but not an uproar) 5th season turns into drama baiting pay to win operators/skins everyone freaks out and devs pretend to listen so 6th season drops with most pay to win of all but it's dressed in a way that doesn't look at bad as the 5th season direct pay to win items. Rinse and Repeat. I do LOVE the "pretige wipe" they're doing. Just like actual mobile games where it's basically a power creep after x about of time you get incentivized to start over with boosts. What I DO think is super important, is to lock the "prestige wipe" to season start (every 3 months). That will allow for that start of season rush that most people who do like wipes really enjoy.
I have experience with two games made by TiMi, and honestly, we're dealing with a studio that didn't hesitate to lose TWO COUNTRIES in the name of profit, due to gambling laws. Even if they say nothing is gonna give you an advantage, they can make means of marketing and obtaining things as obnoxious and annoying as possible. We'll see what they do later into the game's life.
I'm cautiously optimistic. The game runs fine (but, my CAM sofware sens false alerts when playing it, so...), sound should be improved a little, customization goes in a good direction (i personally need a little more), i hate operators in general (sadly is the popular trend now) I hope that Delta does a good job, and i hope Battlefield devs watch carefully and take good lessons for BF2025.

Did that after black ops 1 the last real good call of duty. Some say its 2 but those of us that have been around since the very 1st game know only the kids who were finally able to play the game started with bo2. I have tried some of the recent ones with 2019 being the closest to the old cod til the very 1st season update came and messed it all up by increasing ttk and stuff.

Their Monetization System is actually pretty Clever, The Positive side of Mobile Monetization is how cheap they are. Take COD Mobile and PUBGM for an example in which their Battle pass and Premium Battle pass only Cost you $5 and $9-$10ish and look how they are racking more money than their PC counterparts and i baffles me why their main title won't do something like that. I truly hope they really cooking this game because how much potential they got from their playtest.

Most companies nowadays are at least partly under Tencent. They invest into and buy out everything they can and have done so over the past decade, so I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say with that as it says absolutely nothing. The worst thing about deltaforce is its presentation. It’s a ‘near future’ (modern with spy gadgets) operator shooter that basically copies most of bf2142s aesthetics so it doesn’t get the chance to be its own thing and at least on the surface just feels like a kinda cool Chinese 2142 knock off

I dont like split decisions.. if not all wipe.. then the point of wiping kinda disappears, its more like hunt showdown where u just decide to downgrade ur available guns just to get a skin.. it doesnt give anything that a full wipe does, which is make everyone start from begining, which makes a lot of gunplay fresh, cuz everyone runs crappy weapons with crappy ammo and have to be more creative to win fights.. when the game gets to a point where everyone has everything.. it doesnt feel like an extraction shooter anymore, it feels like a BR.
I hope they are catering to the crowd that loved the DMZ mode in warzone that got discontinued, there is a huge audience for a more casual extraction shooter that even may be strictly pve
I'm not sure it's better than DMZ yet, but it's still really good. Tarkov is too hardcore for me but this one was just right, IMO. I do wish it was larger maps and more players though. One of my favorite modes is Plunder from CoD, I really hope they add something similar.

It makes me happy to see that they leveled their monetized content to be reasonable, instead of Ubislop/Activision/EA insanity that we’ve seen. I genuinely cannot wait to dive into this game with the bois. It’s only a shame that my guys are still waiting for the console releases.

I really wasnt crazy about the game with the beta. After seeing everything the devs have shown and proven, Im actually excited now. Let's hope it's all true and not just lies to get people into the game.
I really had a lot of reservations about this game, specifically because they made sure to delist the original, but it being entirely free and still of the quality of what i played was pretty encouraging. Therez enough good representation of everything i like in current shooters to justify the zero dollars I'll be asked to put into it and more
I dislike battlepasses generally (always have) never made sense to me as to why you'd pay extra for something that you still have to earn, just destroys games for me (and therefor they also get less money from me and quite a few people I play with that don't have the time/interest grinding through it and only playing that game, but that's primarily their issue and loss). But otherwise: Yeah, it's impossible to pay attention to "gamers" because everyone wants something different and if someone else gets listened to the other groups complain that their idea isn't the one being realized. And that's the primary issue there, they listen - it just doesn't make sense to listen to most parts - same as it doesn't make sense to stop pushing the battlepass bs everywhere as it works well enough.
As much as I would LOVE to play the game... The fact that it's region blocked in Belgium (most likely due to our laws against certain bad practices in gaming) sends me a message. I genuinely hope it'll be a good game that I'll need to VPN for but if not it's a real shame of wasted potential.
So their wipe system will work like Hunt showdowns Prestige system. You wipe your account and lose all your money and everything but theres special prestige skins and other rewards if you do it but you dont have to
Tencent is doing an honestly amazing job at listening to what the community actually wants. Call of Duty mobile took the base gameplay from the golden era of cod, and then served as a testing ground for features we now see in AB/DF. The detailed breakdown of every gun stat, usable firing range with data collection features, and raid summary map with highlights started on cod mobile. While the operators are laregely based on bf 2042 a bunch of mechanics can also be traced to CODM operator skills. Arena Breakout, on mobile, up until around the unheard edition, felt like they were making decisions based on what the tarkov community was most vocal about. It has miles better quality of life and matchmaking, and honestly the main gameplay issues are where they copy tarkov too much. Yes, arena breakout has pay to win, but as a day 1 player I will say it's not buying currency. The pay to win is in secure cases. The way matchmaking is divided into tiers, currency isn't nearly as much of a frustration as looting someone whose Gucci ammo is up his bum. I've also played the battlefield mobile beta and it's a hot pile of garbage especially compared to what delta force is doing on mobile. The only thing I can hope for now though is that delta force has a class only, no operator mode.
Questioning how they got this past the National press and publications administration (NPAA) in China. They're usually real strict. Must be something in it for their government.
My guess is, they're most likely going to go the CoD: Mobile route when it comes to the skins and operators, where you can HAVE A CHANCE at only throwing a few bucks at getting them, but the price doubles each time you re-roll for the item you really want, next thing you know the actual price has ballooned into the hundreds of dollar range and you're stuck with a bunch of tat you didn't really want from that bundle. It'll work, just look at CoD:M, cause they "give you a chance" at getting the good stuff for $5 bucks or less

I REALLY hope they don't flop this game loved the beta in October, haven't gotten MW3 or BO6(im absolutely DONE with CoD bs with full price game with expensive skin being rain on the game instead of making more maps without having to wait for a month or two for a reskined map from a previous game) BF2042 had potential but EA messed up everything by not sticking to the BF formula that defines battlefield with its class based system with vehicle and infantry combat. Really looking forward to delta force but hopefully it doesn't flop.
Honestly I am going to play this now, I was kinda soft on it after the first beta I got to play. Not really anything against the game I just wasn't vibing with it. But the consumer friendly attitude is absolutely something I want to support in the gaming industry.

I love that Delta Force is listening to the community and they want to make everyone happy... I just wish the game was more satisfying to play. We need new maps that arent tied to levels and quest that arent map exclusive. I want to love the game so much more than I do, cause I was initially wrong about power ups.
BF2042 specialists look way better than in DF IMO. Less cringe. You have Irish, Boris, etc. and audio and in-game voice lines is much better than in DF. DF is Made In China wannabe BF2042 with COD elements and animations. It ain't OG DF... I wish they stick to the black hawk down events for the multiplayer... Like this, it's battle of clones without any customization rather than a battle pass which will look too 'elite COD' unfortunately
fun fact:the Chinese players actually make up for a good chunk of the 2042 playerbase, because they cant play other bf games(probably because the plot of bf4 involves literally invading China lmao) so thats why its made to be a 2042 clone. this game ain’t for the western audience, not the primary demographic anyway, its made for the Chinese market more lol
Played the beta and my god was I impressed already. Servers were good, gameplay was good and didn't feel like a F2P title at ALL. Now seeing this, makes my hype for this game even soo much bigger.
Everytime i see a battle pass, my concern is always, how much time they give people to actually complete them. If I cant take my time with it and have to play like its my second job to get my moneys worth, it is going to be a difficult time getting into with adult life going on at the side also

For me, I think it kind of missed the mark. I feel if it was made to be more serious, almost like squad in the gameplay mechanics, but visually stunning with everything else. It could’ve really filled the void, but to me it kind of feels like that contender that came out during pub G that was free. Where you could hang glide and what not that turned out to be some kind of like cryptocurrency scam.
WW3 is still alive. The new devs actually seem to be doing surveys and already switched launchers. This newer one feeling less annoying, still wish there wasn't one.
Alot of people saying “cod clone” but literally just the monetization is similar. All fps games will likely feel a little bit like one youve played before but this definitely aint close to cod. Theyre introducing alot of unique mechanics and im excited to see if theyre good or Garbo

They own ones of the most notorious names, but for the very large part they are just minority shareholders, so just invest and returns, no decision power. Personnally, all the games i like the most, Tencent is nowhere. Tencent go for the most bad but also companies that earns the most that we all know the names of. It's easily checkable on google.

The worst thing about deltaforce is its presentation. It’s a ‘near future’ (modern with spy gadgets) operator shooter that basically copies most of bf2142s aesthetics so it doesn’t get the chance to be its own thing and at least on the surface just feels like a kinda cool Chinese 2142 knock off

Yes. The alternatives I can imagine are all worse. This is better-than-standard practice among "free to play" games, and puts it head and shoulders above something like ABI or even Destiny 2

I dont like split decisions.. if not all wipe.. then the point of wiping kinda disappears, its more like hunt showdown where u just decide to downgrade ur available guns just to get a skin.. it doesnt give anything that a full wipe does, which is make everyone start from begining, which makes a lot of gunplay fresh, cuz everyone runs crappy weapons with crappy ammo and have to be more creative to win fights.. when the game gets to a point where everyone has everything.. it doesnt feel like an extraction shooter anymore, it feels like a BR.

I'm not sure it's better than DMZ yet, but it's still really good. Tarkov is too hardcore for me but this one was just right, IMO. I do wish it was larger maps and more players though. One of my favorite modes is Plunder from CoD, I really hope they add something similar.

I really had a lot of reservations about this game, specifically because they made sure to delist the original, but it being entirely free and still of the quality of what i played was pretty encouraging. People hating on this system makes me realize why devs stopped paying attention to gamers. They want everything immediately for nothing.
I dislike battlepasses generally (always have) never made sense to me as to why you'd pay extra for something that you still have to earn, just destroys games for me (and therefor they also get less money from me and quite a few people I play with that don't have the time/interest grinding through it and only playing that game, but that's primarily their issue and loss).
But otherwise: Yeah, it's impossible to pay attention to "gamers" because everyone wants something different and if someone else gets listened to the other groups complain that their idea isn't the one being realized.
And that's the primary issue there, they listen - it just doesn't make sense to listen to most parts - same as it doesn't make sense to stop pushing the battlepass bs everywhere as it works well enough.

Tencent is doing an honestly amazing job at listening to what the community actually wants.
Call of Duty mobile took the base gameplay from the golden era of cod, and then served as a testing ground for features we now see in AB/DF.
The detailed breakdown of every gun stat, usable firing range with data collection features, and raid summary map with highlights started on cod mobile.
While the operators are laregely based on bf 2042 a bunch of mechanics can also be traced to CODM operator skills.
Arena Breakout, on mobile, up until around the unheard edition, felt like they were making decisions based on what the tarkov community was most vocal about. It has miles better quality of life and matchmaking, and honestly the main gameplay issues are where they copy tarkov too much.
Yes, arena breakout has pay to win, but as a day 1 player I will say it's not buying currency. The pay to win is in secure cases. The way matchmaking is divided into tiers, currency isn't nearly as much of a frustration as looting someone whose Gucci ammo is up his bum.
I've also played the battlefield mobile beta and it's a hot pile of garbage especially compared to what delta force is doing on mobile.
The only thing I can hope for now though is that delta force has a class only, no operator mode.

My guess is, they're most likely going to go the CoD: Mobile route when it comes to the skins and operators, where you can HAVE A CHANCE at only throwing a few bucks at getting them, but the price doubles each time you re-roll for the item you really want, next thing you know the actual price has ballooned into the hundreds of dollar range and you're stuck with a bunch of tat you didn't really want from that bundle. It'll work, just look at CoD:M, cause they "give you a chance" at getting the good stuff for $5 bucks or less

BF2042 had potential but EA messed up everything by not sticking to the BF formula that defines battlefield with its class based system with vehicle and infantry combat.

Honestly I am going to play this now, I was kinda soft on it after the first beta I got to play. Not really anything against the game I just wasn't vibing with it.

Played it open beta, yeah it's Battlefield 2042 Chinese version
BF2042 specialists look way better than in DF IMO. Less cringe. You have Irish, Boris, etc. and audio and in-game voice lines is much better than in DF. DF is Made In China wannabe BF2042 with COD elements and animations. It ain't OG DF... I wish they stick to the black hawk down events for the multiplayer... Like this, it's battle of clones without any customization rather than a battle pass which will look too 'elite COD' unfortunately
fun fact:the Chinese players actually make up for a good chunk of the 2042 playerbase, because they cant play other bf games(probably because the plot of bf4 involves literally invading China lmao) so thats why its made to be a 2042 clone.

Played the beta and my god was I impressed already. Servers were good, gameplay was good and didn't feel like a F2P title at ALL. Now seeing this, makes my hype for this game even soo much bigger.
Everytime i see a battle pass, my concern is always, how much time they give people to actually complete them.
If I cant take my time with it and have to play like its my second job to get my moneys worth, it is going to be a difficult time getting into with adult life going on at the side also

For me, I think it kind of missed the mark. I feel if it was made to be more serious, almost like squad in the gameplay mechanics, but visually stunning with everything else. It could’ve really filled the void, but to me it kind of feels like that contender that came out during pub G that was free. Where you could hang glide and what not that turned out to be some kind of like cryptocurrency scam.
WW3 is still alive. The new devs actually seem to be doing surveys and already switched launchers. This newer one feeling less annoying, still wish there wasn't one.
Alot of people saying “cod clone” but literally just the monetization is similar. All fps games will likely feel a little bit like one youve played before but this definitely aint close to cod. Theyre introducing alot of unique mechanics and im excited to see if theyre good or Garbo
