I was invited to this. Now I am making fun of the video that looks like it was from late 90's to early 2005's. What, they invited a meme creating, video gaming, slacker that apparently is good in school.
Alyssa Sims Dont be mad, Im a member but I applied for Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) and didnt get in because my average was a 84.5 instead of the minimum 85 average.
I found out today I got inducted when I found out I look up national honor society I’m happy I made it And day before my birthday what a great birthday may15 I’m turning 17 I’m in 10/11 grade
Death Strider Bros "Inequality" based on the effort, responsibility and interest in learning is a good thing in public schools because kids who may not be financially blessed have a chance to work there way up and perhaps even benefit financially when they reach college, in the form of various scholarships. Same thing with advanced class programs, if someone's speed and knowledge surpasses thier peers, why not let them learn in a more challenging environment which is more their speed and ambition?.
@@lillymanta7642 nah they didn’t get in they gave us a application to and I literally wrote on it do not pick me pick someone else they still picked me😭
Trash. College doesn't care if you're in NHS. Most of the kids that are in NHS fake their volunteer hours and bloat their leadership accomplishments. And "honor" - look at the eyes roll when Mr. and Ms. MIP grace the stage. An improvement would be a student peer review and acceptance that some kids have to work. Again, mostly worthless. Kids, save your time on those volunteer hours, apply them to work or studying for the ACT - which matters.
PhatKid68 my friend who is president of the nhs (i'm vp but in 10th grade) and is in 12th grade went to columbia university witha 1490 on sat and like a 33 in act i think and my friend with perfect scores on sat and a 35 on act with more ap than my other friend didn't even make it to university of penn so it does help. it honestly seems like you got rejected and you're salty but i wouldn't know. But it does matter
@@dahgeorgeee2239 what do you mean why not? I was just asking what the reason was to reject them. I am not saying you shouldn’t reject it, I just wanted to know is there something bad about NHS. That’s all!!
just found out about this today, I got accepted into the honor society yesterday :D I'm looking forward to this.
I just got invited and have no idea what that is...this video helps a lott!!!
I got accepted into NHS today 🎊🎊
How was your experience?
I got a letter that I should apply, but I don't want to do it or think I should do it. I don't think I need a club to make me volunteer
You can choose what you want to volunteer for. It gives you more volunteer opportunities that you wouldn't get on your own.
My daughter just got accepted I’m so proud ❤
I was invited to this.

Ahhh you are thinking about fraternties. In universities to join an honour society you just need high grades, it doesn't require wealth or status.
Okay but how do you get in?
Lazy Noodle well for me you had to make high honors but in middle schopl
jules couldn't I get in it in high school and what state do you live in?
I was invited and looking forward to make some free energy device...
I’m invited by my school to joins the NHS but i’m bit scared cuz my english is not fluent and i’m a shy person too😭
I Need some advices from your experiences there
You made a regret to come to the society, I'm still in NHS and took my money and did nothing, leave the society and keep your money
Ya I got this but I feel like I really don’t deserve bc there are people ik that deserve it more than me
The people who deserve more than you did they not get in? I thought you only have to have a certain gpa to get in?
