@@dezzydream It's awesome Gaten is getting a romantic lead role and can't wait to see what other projects he does in the future, not only in film and TV but stage too. I'm also excited about his next voice role work in My Father's Dragon coming this year still and he is the titular dragon 🐉😁 Hopefully he also gets a role in one of his favourite franchises; Star Wars. I predict he's going to do a number of genres, romance, comedy, drama, sci fi, musical, history, fantasy etc 😄

@@TedEhioghae Class Rank with Skylar Gisondo and Olivia Holt is very similar. They’re ranked number 1 and 2 respectively and she befriends him to try and manipulate him into joining the school board so he can remove the ranking system and Harvard won’t see she’s ranked second and not first.
Candy Jar is also somewhat similar, but they’re enemies who come together to earn debate credits to give them more to put on their college applications bc they’re both set on going to Harvard and Yale. So it’s not as similar, but definitely has the smart overachieving people as both love interests.
I am all about this trope.

This looks so good, what a happy surprise. Angourie is a total star, happy to see her getting lead roles. She has massive talent. Same for Gaten, he deserves this and so much more. The story is not new and rather simple, but the treatment is so fresh. Love that her character is so confident and sure of herself. I'm looking forward to this.

This was a surprisingly good movie. Not that the trailer was bad or anything, but I expected it to be pretty basic. it had a great twist I didn’t see coming. Would definitely recommend.
you know what, I like both actors. She was great in the spiderman movies, and Gaten deserves to have lead roles himself. Im gonna watch it just to support them both and if its good that's a plus.

Just finished this movie and let me just say that I wasn’t expecting that plot twist.
Also I loved the movies I loved the vibes of the movie it just felt very different from usual teen movies and I loved the cold tones in color choices instead of the usual warm tones in teen movies

Angourie has range. Didn't like her at first, but she's growing on me and I can see her being a bigger actress in the future.
I won't watch this cause it's just not my kind of thing, but made me realize how much I miss Mclovin' and the early 2000s comedies. I feel old.
This movie did not go the way ai thought it would. It's a really great movie. Everyone should watch it.

Saw this in my recommendations, recognized the girl from Marvel's "Spider-Man" movies (MCU that is) as she played Betty Brant. Really cool to see her expand into different roles.
This movie looks to be one part "American Psycho" (minus the killings), mixed with "Heathers" and "She's All That". An interesting combination of genres. Looks to be an awesome movie.

Try watching Nice Guys. The actors there are Ryan Gosling and Russel Crowe. Angourie Rice played Ryan's daughter in the film. That's the film I first saw her and she's a great in the movie. She has a potential to be famous like Sandra Bullock and Jessica Chastain.
She also plays Kate Winslet's daughter in Mare of Easttown.
She’s also in a Season 5 Black Mirror episode with Miley Cyrus

I can't believe McLovin grew up to be a high school counselor. This actually looks good though compared to the usual teen movies I've seen floating around the last few years. Plus, I like Gaten, so I'm glad he's branching out.

It's not a bad movie, but it ends with her being portrayed as the victim even though he was doing the exact same thing to her that she intended to do to him except she caught feeling.

Except where did you see her portrayed as the victim? She got her mom’s support which is to be expected, and nothing else. She made 2 friends and got to keep them. Nothing more.

Didn't go where you expect - or rather - it semi-did, but not in the way you might expect. Loved the 4th wall shattering and the actors pull it off really well. Also also, glad to see McLovin' get some work, the man should really branch out from being the "awkward guy", he has some chops, he should flex them more often. Good movie all in all, you will enjoy it.
How old have we become? We saw Gaten as a kid playing DND to actually being in a teen romance. GOD
