    Fantastic tips. I’m in Australia and my husband and I go prospecting just about every weekend. But watching your video helped me to understand what gold does a little better. I’m quite violent with my tapping so next time I’ll try your method. 😊

      Just remember that it is for micro fine gold only. Different shaped larger gold can slide down while you are tapping, so check for it if it is a possibility.
      Currently we are pulverizing hard rock ore in an impact mill which forms it into small balls which REALLY like to roll down hill,
      My wife is working on a different finish that seems to be quite effective with the balled up gold. If it proves out, we will have a video on it soon.

    Nicely done. I need to do more cleaning. Mostly I just dump it in a bucket.

      This works pretty fats. I can do process control pans between buckets on the mill- say 4 minutes.

    came across this video, i have to say the technique works on my fine gold, i have a lot of superfine (-100 and smaller) stuff but i did not have a way to get any gold out of it so i was just storing it away in 2 liter bottles, this may be what i was looking for, thanks for the video.

      If you dont have any gold , use tungsten powder. It's very close to the weight of gold

    Those small vibrator units on eBay are cheap, thanks to women (yep, they're the same motors) and can be pegged to any part of any surface you want to move materials on for a slower, cleaner, and more accurate movement and gravitational separation.

    And that gold has been milled to what mesh ?

    • @hardrockuniversity7283
      @hardrockuniversity7283  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is the natural size of the gold. The rock was ground to about 95% passing 30 mesh. The average particle size of the gold is about 150 mesh with the smaller particles in the 400 mesh range.

    Hmm i must give that a try . I usually tap on the top of the pan rim while tilting back and forward repeatedly , (backwashing ) with only a little water in the pan , and the gold will walk up the pan , it's a bit like rubbing your belly while tapping on top of your head , but i find it works for me , but i will definitely give that a try Keith , thanks , it seemed to work OK , cheers .
