He loves her so much... she wanted her pink room as she had to share a bedroom all her life. He gracefully loved her, just the way she was. He didn't see or care about a pink room, he just wanted her. He saw a whole life ahead of him with the person he loved. God bless them and their family.

Erin I am 71 years old and moved many times over the years. I cried everytime I left a place too, but would always realize that the memories live in our hearts, not the location. Its a beautiful gift God gave us because no matter where we go, we take those moments with us. ❤ God bless!

I lived in Texas for 34 yr moved because of husband death moved to Tennessee there I lost my youngest son 9 months later. I found a wonderful church and Biblestudy group. I miss Texas but falling in love with Tennessee
I bet you will miss the seasons - such as they are in TN …. It’s a very sweet little home. You were amazing caretakers of that entire area too. Left it so much lovelier than you found it. I was always impressed by your flowers and ability to keep so much beauty growing around you. It’s SUPPOSED to be cold and snowy in winter!!

*I remember on the TV show, watching you two move in after your wedding and you made Chad sleep in a full on pink four poster bed in a pink room. I vividly recall that and thinking he was an awfully kind husband. ☮️💜
I understand the tears brought on by all the precious memories as you leave the place that's been home for so many years. We were already married 18 years when we moved into our last house, and lived there for 26 1/2 years. That house saw our youngest, our son, go from age 6 to when he moved out on his own after he was grown. Our daughter had just graduated high school, and started university the year we moved there (1990). That house saw her go through 5 years of UT's school of Engineering, till she achieved her BS in EE. We planned her wedding that last year and 3 weeks after she earned her degree, she married and began her own married life in AZ. In due time she had 2 sons born in AZ.
Lots of memories in our house, many tears remembering all the struggles, but also all the good times and pure JOY as we worked through those years together. Time came to downsize with the kids grown and gone, so we sold that beloved house and moved into our current smaller, final home, going on 6 years ago. We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary last spring, so we're still making memories. Thanks be to God our Father, and His Son, and our enduring love for each other. Erin and Chad, you've made an awesome START 😉, but I assure you both, the best is yet to come! HUGS! 🤗🤗💝💝

Erin, almost 30 years ago, God called my husband and I, along with our three young children (3, 5&7) from south FL to Oklahoma City. We packed what we could fit in a tiny U Haul that we pulled behind us (selling most of our stuff before we left) and moved 1600 miles to a place we had never been, no job, no place to live and about 2k in our pocket. We got here and within less than a week, my husband had a job, we got into a great house (we eventually bought it and are still here!) and opened so many doors to the ministry He called us to. You will be in awe of ALL He is going to do in and through your lives to His glory. He will turn those tears into joy,sweet Erin! ❤️

Its always hard to move from a home you made so many memories in but There is no place like home and making new memories in your new chapter in life. Im from Florida and moved to Indy 20 yrs ago. That’s nice that you painted the walls before you moved out since it’s a rental. We moved 15 years ago the day after thanksgiving. I cried and hugged my mom and my brother in the front yard before we left. That was so hard to move after living and raising our 9 kids in our home town for 48 years. We moved from Upper Michigan to North Western Pennsylvania. I have so many good memories and I do miss my house. It’s weird at first when you move to a new town. It felt like we were on vacation for awhile. I wish you all the best!
Each new place, is only a house, u til you make it your home…with love,work and caring for it, making it your own! When your children move into a new place, they help to make it even more loving and happy!

Welcom to Florida! We are happy to have you’all here. We made the move from Chicago, my husband, myself and our 10 month old daughter in 1987. I left my family whom I was very close to but hen my parents and my brother ended up moving here. It has been a good place for us we raised our family here, my husband has served the community as a Family Physician this entire time.. I hope it is as good to your family as it has been to us. Moving is hard, but it is also special. May God Bless You Richly!
Oh my…..the tears were flowing right along with you Erin. So many precious memories inside the walls of that sweet little house. Chad said it right though, it’s bringing the kids into that house that made those memories. Just think of all the memories you will make while in Florida. God bless you and your family during the transition time, the new ministry, and all of your endeavors.
My parents "left me" in Virginia and moved south. I cried all day! But, we still talked every day. My Momma called me one morning bright and early and discovered that I was sick. One hour later, she and Daddy were on the road and to our front door before it got dark. Our oldest moved to go to college and lived with them for several years. But when our only daughter moved down to go to the same college, the Lord opened the door in a mighty way, and we moved. Twenty-three years later, we haven't missed the rush of the city and the 2-hour commute for my husband. God is so good!

My family and I made a similar move in July 2019. We left Auburn NY and transplanted in Pendleton SC. Best decision we ever made for a thousand reasons! It's emotional in the beginning. First Christmas was a little surreal. But then I found comfort in the woods, trees, curves in roads and realized how similar our area was to certain areas within the upstate NY area and my kids grades were outstanding. I am so impressed that you are fixing up the house for the new renters! I have lived in 2 apartments in my life and I I think I wiped down the bathrooms and kitchens and vacuumed the place before I left, but I never spackled or painted the walls. I always believed that those types of changes/repairs are up to the owners.

Erin, I remember when my husband and me moved my stuff from Florida to another state to live. It was so hard to leave my parents. I couldn’t stop crying. But, each day got better as we began our new lives together. We found our church home and both of us had other family members living not to far from us. We are still here after many years. God bless your family.

I'm watching this and crying with you, Erin. I've always highly disliked final walk throughs so I've tried to avoid them as much as possible. I think the house we brought our daughter home to from the hospital was the hardest house to leave. The moments and memories of our first (almost) 5 years with her at that house made it incredibly difficult to leave. We have been fortunate to make new memories at our new house as well. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. 😊
