It's new That's why, once you play it for as long as genshin you will do the same with star rail. also new story too. btw just saying i am not a fan of turn based battle, but this is interesting i still prefer genshins battle but turn based are not as bad as i thought it would be. but i can already imagine a hell hole of farming for material and stuff
@@enju3588 i bet, if it were as bad as genshin no one would do it, coz turn based gameplay is not the same as open world rpg gameplay, rpg gameplay is fun by the nature of actively doing stuff actively, turn based is fun because of you thinking and making new combo and stuff but once that theorycrafting and figuring out gameplay is done its not fun anymore, its a drag and if it has bad rng you. bet most people will leave the game. even with auto battle its not sustainable gameplay, they have to give better rng to players because its not the same game. thats what i think tho, i can be wrong as i have said before not a turn based player but i guess a outsider opinion can be helpful sometimes
omg, i was grinding level 15 till 4 am yesterday to get the final 5 standard wishes for the new player banner. And now you are telling me I could have just bought them... Got Yanqing in the end, which is.. ok, I guess. He seems very strong but I was planning to go for Seele eventually and their roles overlap a lot :(

If I had both, I'd probably run March and Tingyun as the other 2 characters, although it would be annoying for one of the DPS to have no skill points whenever Tingyun does her thing (currently with Asta instead of Seele, I can just use a normal attack and that gives a stack of her attack buff to the team)

One ability on their traces tree gives a straight up 15% damage reduction for 1 turn across the entire party once the MC uses their skill. The skill has a 100% base chance to taunt too. So you give and get shields + damage reduction and have a big chance to draw enemy fire. Can also take advantage of the preservation path in Simulated Universe since a lot of preservation blessings buff characters that have been shielded. I honestly invested into leveling Preservation MC's traces and haven't looked back. Preservation MC's scale mostly off defense so I've been putting relics on that pump that up.
@@Etherwinter yeah I've been trying him out in my usual comp to see how I like it and must admit I'm a big fan, Seele and Herta go to town and anything bulky enough to live gets taunted plus Bronya shenanigans XD. I will miss the cool ass baseball bat though reminds me of when I built my immortal monster Noelle in Genshin

As a house keeper at a hotel, being able to hide in the closet in the game and scare that housekeeper made my day because I would totally do that to my coworker if we had closets 😂
Believe it or not, I spent about 5 hours playing the game, and have gone through almost every trash can I can find in the overworld because it reminds me of Undertale humor
The shop resets extremely soon (4 days) for 'whatever dust' (basically Stardust). Get the HSR passes quickly, it gives enough to get your guaranteed standard five-star, and a few more pulls for Seele.
My first few hours I was super sleepy, I just downloaded CN dub, unlockwd warping and then dozed off, I did get some cool characters, the gameplay is crazy, I like it

I love this game so much!! It goes great with Java’s commentary. I especially love the writing for things like trash cans, closets, mailboxes, and how the wording can change if you click things multiple times. Super fun!!

I just started playing and its very fun!! Honkai is a bit different than genshin but it has its own unique aspects. Not to mention i got seele at 2 pity and a 50/50! Never had that kind of luck in genshin 😂

i tried it out but as soon as i saw there was no jump function i knew it wasnt for me. i knew it was turn based combat but a little more to the exploration factor would have been awesome too. hope you have fun with it

When you see the ticket that flies around to the top left when it turns a bit of a glitchy colour usually means you got a gold so you don’t have to see the colour of the door
Dan and March are actually pretty decent characters! Not the best, but they don’t suffer from the starter character curse of Genshin. (The other element of the MC you’ll get next is better than physical MC tho)

Something to note about the warps When a 5* is on the warp there will be a rainbow effect on the ticket (kinda like how 3D images look without 3D glasses) And star rail has a pity system as well, the 80th warp is garented to be a 5*

The only downside is that the banners are to confusing for me. did my first event banner 10 pull and my very first pull was a five star seele, only to afterwards have to see that it was her weapon. I pulled on the wrong banner... And I don't even have a hunter I like!

I'm actually really happy with the game so far! I got Bronya as my guaranteed, and while I did originally want Clara, Yanqing or Bailu, she's been great. The outfit, the VA, and the humour written in has been super fun so far, and I'm adoring all the easter eggs. I do want to ask - is there an ingame chat method between friends? I've had to resort to texting despite us being ingame friends.

I just started and I already have Himeko, I love the turn-base gameplay because it gives more challenge unlike HI3 and GI, I really hope to get Yanqing and Bailu next!
Some of my first thoughts and gameplay tips after playing the game for about a week: (I'll leave it as a Read More in case people want to figure things out themselves) Trailblazer (MC) is definitely here to stay. They're easily one of the best characters (early game at least), and the game makes sure to keep it that way by providing matching Relic (artifact) sets. AOE is much more valuable than single-target. The game does a really good job of catering to both Honkai 3rd and Genshin players. So far, the game seems far less grindy than both Honkai 3rd and Genshin. You can do up to 6 runs of each "Domain" in one go, so you don't have to repeat the Fight, Claim, Fight, Claim cycle, and it's just Fight Fight Fight Claim. Tne Trailblaze Power regens much faster than Genshin. It's 1 every 5 minutes as opposed to one every 8 minutes.

You can also exchange the starglitter thingy on the wishing menu. Just like genshin, you get 5 standard and 5 limited wishes

The starter character you get actually REALLY great and even the MC is considered as a core of the team you build

Nah...it does lag a little bit on the starting screen but whole gameplay for me is smooth af. They optimized it pretty well.
Fun fact: Its 8 gb for mobile phones and 10-11 gb on pc. Look how small the difference is.

As a genshin player I really like both gameplay and the animation:3
I'm actually really happy with the game so far! I got Bronya as my guaranteed, and while I did originally want Clara, Yanqing or Bailu, she's been great. The outfit, the VA, and the humour written in has been super fun so far, and I'm adoring all the easter eggs.
I do want to ask - is there an ingame chat method between friends? I've had to resort to texting despite us being ingame friends.
i didnt realize what the star rail bit meant until i was staring at the loading screen for 5 minutes and then was shocked because it was turn based combat suffice to say i didnt look at anything about this game prior to downloading it

I just started and I already have Himeko, I love the turn-base gameplay because it gives more challenge unlike HI3 and GI, I really hope to get Yanqing and Bailu next!
Some of my first thoughts and gameplay tips after playing the game for about a week:

Trailblazer (MC) is definitely here to stay. They're easily one of the best characters (early game at least), and the game makes sure to keep it that way by providing matching Relic (artifact) sets.
AOE is much more valuable than single-target.
The game does a really good job of catering to both Honkai 3rd and Genshin players.
So far, the game seems far less grindy than both Honkai 3rd and Genshin. You can do up to 6 runs of each "Domain" in one go, so you don't have to repeat the Fight, Claim, Fight, Claim cycle, and it's just Fight Fight Fight Claim.
Tne Trailblaze Power regens much faster than Genshin. It's 1 every 5 minutes as opposed to one every 8 minutes.
