@@TheArchitectJC yes it is around $15ish dollars that is why I said as an upgrade. If you spend $25 on this build and $15 for the ozolith that puts it at around the cost of a regular precon but it is far more tuned than a precon
If you're willing to spend quite a bit more but playing vorinclex as the commander will up the power quite a bit also not sure if he mentioned it or how this works but some cardsbfrom the tyranid deck would work well like the equipment that equips for 3 and when the equipped creature attacks you put 4 +1 +1couynters on it there's also an enchantment I believe that gives the effect of you're commander to everything
Jiang Yanggu, Wildcrafter seems like it could be really good in here too. $0.25 for a planeswalker who let's you turn creatures with a +1/+1 counter on it into a mana rock with the -1 being to add a counter onto a creature. Mana cost being 2 and a green

Mowu was the first legend which finally got me to build my first mono-green commander deck. I'm like... "Finally! Something which isn't Ezuri or Omnath!" I'm not sure my various pods were willing to break the mold of the usual suspects when it came to green. I've had my Mowu deck for so long, I've accumulated quite the amount of upgrades, though I'm definitely happy to see the golden pig, Fractal Harness, and there's quite a few cards on this 25$ list which is still in the 99 of my brew.
So my sister loved the art for this card a while back so I might just build this deck for her lol Though the sleeves and deckbox are going to cost more than the deck lol

It can be like a green voltron commander. I’ll probably make a dedicated with it. And then the VERY NEXT DAY you make a budget deck on mowu.
I've had a Mowu commander deck for some time (mines terrible because I just used cards I had, and havent bought any specifically for it) but one combo I've found to be pretty damn good is Scrounging Bandar and Primal Cocoon Scrounging Bandar: 2 cost 0/0, ETB with 2 +1 counters, beginning of upkeep move any number of +1 counters from Bandar to another creature Primal Cocoon: 1 mana, enchant creature, beginning of upkeep put a +1 counter on enchanted creature, when enchanted creature attacks or blocks, sac primal cocoon This means you effectively have primal cocoon on Mowu without worrying about it being sacrificed, just move the counter it produces every turn onto Mowu. Just make sure to leave Bandar with at least 4 of its own counters to help prevent burn.
The goodest boi ! I love mowu! I play him with ozolith! It’s great ! Also if you wanna splurge the new vornclex turns mowu and things like fertilid into tanks !
This deck if perfect for how I like to play. I have a janky standard deck with basically every one of the cards in this deck that can be used in standard. I will probably be making this deck just as an excuse to keep using those cards.
Speaking of Budget how about Skullbriar I feel like with everything we have and with ikoria a budget build of him can be really easy and cheap. All the small +1/+1 counters spells 👌🏽
I am a little confused cause this deck isn't this price on the tcg player that he posts below every video. I know this is older but it is saying every single one of these cards has doubled in price. can someone give me a good spot the find the cheepest cards.
Seeing ivy lane denizen without a scurry oak or herd baloth made me a little sad but I guess combos like that (even though they fit the budget) aren't too fun to play against
I'm guessing you'd have included Evolution Sage if its current price was under a buck. This must have been especially annoying since it's just 2 cents over the price limit you set up for this deck tech !
Two things; 1; WoTC really should print Mowu, Good Doggy and change nothing about the card except it be white instead of green. 2; It sucks that all the lands that feature dogs are called PLAINS. And This current version of Mowu really loves trees.
They could make this card a dog or are they the same thing in magic I never seen this card and i looked at supposedly all the cards from war of the spark

I run a similar deck w Willowdusk as the commander. It’s a good time!
Marwyn the Nurturer seems to just work here. A second counter target, and a mana dork. Seems good
Feel like a similar deck would be made for the kaldheim Vorinclex

I've had a Mowu commander deck for some time (mines terrible because I just used cards I had, and havent bought any specifically for it) but one combo I've found to be pretty damn good is Scrounging Bandar and Primal Cocoon

You could throw Scurry Oak in there for a combo with Ivy Lane Denizen.
I add The Ozolith to save the counters if removals hit the hound.
I really can't wait for this to become a full cycle: Super Budget, Budget, and What's a Budget. Call it the Doge Coin savings Trilogy.
I have a 45 Dollar (about 30 without Ozolith) Hamza (+1/+1 Counter Eldrazi) Deck and it's absolutely crazy. +1/+1 is the best Mechanik on budget

Tbh, outside of Doubling season, various mana rocks, and heroic intervention, the upgrades aren't that expensive.

Animal Sanctuary won't work since Mowu is technically a hound. And while hound is a breed of dog, I don't think that logic transcends magic rulings.
Mowu, like all Hounds, was errata'd to Dog with M21 (where Animal Sanctuary came out) so there's no problem, he can get the counter, he's a good boy!

Hey, it's probably been said after 2 years, but Mowu is a Hound, and Animal Sanctuary says, "Dog." This land does nothing for the deck. Cheers!

The creature type hound was rebranded as dog, all hounds are now dogs, hound is no longer an existent creature type
