In fairness, there were some pretty legit bands signed to those labels during that decade.

Theyre not but a lot of mid ass metalcore bands sure sound almost exactly like the hooks they wrote post-Minutes to Midnight

If I were in a band I would try to fit as many tropes as I could into one video.
S tier content! hardcore band bingo- fitted hats, gym shorts, sXe tattoos, cameos from other bands, backpacks, nike dunks, band hoodies, basketball jerseys, stage dives, "moshers", showing the line before the show, the video being dedicated to some three letter named crew, a scene inn some run down part of the city, a scene in some outdoor basketball court, someone lifting weights, someone hitting a heavybag, bass player jumping while playing, singer wrapping mic cord around fist.

Numetal bingo: dreadlocks, skate shoes, shirtless dude from a band, frosted tips, expensive car, slow motion, terrible old CGI, scenes from a adolescent kids room, wifebeaters, crowds of people outside, questionable choice of piercing, band jumping together before the main riff starts playing, singer making weird noises before actually singing, cops, screaming parents, stereo player, man wearing eyeliner, band playing in a parking lot / garage
At first glance it might look tough but I can think of a clip that has pretty much all of it

Great idea XD For that to work the drummer would have to not actually hit the drums, otherwise the drums would ofc drown out every other sound. But in order to keep up appearance we need to hire some extra personnel that hides in the dark behind the shells and pull thin strings attached to the cymbals, so they still move when the drummer "hits" them XD
So any chorus with clean singing is now a linkin park chorus

Invent animate > 95% of Metalcore including architects. Also I remember a couple months ago Finn was asking why he’s not as well liked as ppl like Nik Nocturnal or Rick Beato, vids like this is why. I’m still subbed to him and watch him but I’m just saying this is why ppl sometimes dislike him

Ngl I am getting tired of this kinda gatekeeping, yes a lot of bands copy others but then what happens is the ones that don’t get lumped in with those bands cause everyone goes extreme with this. Any Djent riff is now a Knockoff Architects, Clean vocals in a chorus is now a knockoff LP and any experimentation with pop and electronics is a BMTH knockoff. Like when there’s an exact copy of the doomsday rift okay fine but people have gone too far with it.

Agreed, I didn't like them at first but Heavener absolutely changed my mind. Very good album with a few wow moments. Some involuntary stank face, a tear or two, everything in between. Can't praise it enough

I just don't understand the whole Architects riff thing. It seems like anytime a guitar is used the riff is apparently copying Architects. What defines an Architects riff, because none of these songs sound like Architects to me?

I just watched a linkin park doc i found on youtube. Ive always been a huge linkin park fan and there was some tuff in that video i didnt know before. Really good, lot of early days stuff.

Nah, he gets it right compared to most of the heavy music community.
Keep mind most kids would still rather listen to trap metal and alternative hip hop then metalcore or black metal, but a lot of his audience clearly hates that stuff.
