Hey TImmy! Can you do a VIDEO about the pros and cons of you going diesel. Did you think of getting a gas truck prior and realized you wanted more power and longer distances and what werw the biggest pitfalls of diesel lets say for people who are not mechanically inclined with diesel equipment and part costs etc. Id love a timmys backyard mechanical and diy truck video
@6:45 you can see the front passenger body mount break. From there on out the front body of the truck flexes independent of the bumper which is still mounted on the frame
@@BSGSV Yeah I wasn't finished with the video. Now I cannot unsee how bad it is. This rig is just so heavy. I'd love an old 7.3 but I'd probably just put topper on the back and go for a 250 extended cab. Either that or 7.3 Excursion because these old trucks are crazy in price now. Plus I like being able to go straight from the back into the driver's seat without exiting the vehicle.
They make a new core support for the OBS diesels. They are prone to crack and break above the mounts. The new ones are reinforced in those areas. Just changed out the one in mine. It was broke on both sides.
The new mic sounds good and is consistent. Sound is only coming from the left or right channel when you use it though. Kind of off-putting when watching with headphones and the sound is constantly going to stereo to mono left or right then back to stereo then left ear, stereo left ear, right ear, stereo........you get it. Might need to add a stereo channel filter to the audio on clips using that mic. Appreciate all your content Tim. Keep on the adventure and drive safe.
Thanks for the vid timmy! Thanks for all the inspiration, I was really struggling with anxiety and agoraphobia due to my PTSD and your vids are literally what got me back out into adventures again last year. Now i have my own land and im building a house myself all thanks to you buddy!
Nice to see you’ve been putting videos out rather quickly and that’s amazing that your truck made it through that trail and somebody needs to change the trail rating to a 7 1/2
Ok you succeeded to make me a little nervous again but that’s how we roll in our beautiful state - I’m glad you’re enjoying! The sound is so much better.
From watching Matt and Rudy I've gathered that toquerville used to be a 3, but with all the traffic in recent years it's deteriorated into more like a 6 or 7
Thats some Rough Road....compared to that champagne Powder you will bed riding soon!!! Cant wait to see you relaxing on your couch at home playing music for a well deserved break!! The outdoor upper deck with gas fireplace ....is waiting for your snowblower...so you can do an acoustic outdoor jam session with your multi faceted talented friends...Safe Travels Timmie....!!
Early into your ascension we see the right front finder ,grill and hood pop up like the chassis mount is sheered off. According to your time stamp on your video it’s at 6:51-52. I hope it’s just flexing
I used to live in St George. This trail has changed a lot over the years. 15 years ago any car could have made the drive back to the falls on this road, but numerous heavy rainstorms plus the rise in popularity of side by sides over the past 15 years have left the road in its current state.
Howdy Timmy! Did I hear ya say “Alasker”? I am from rural Va and our local dialect somehow makes words end in r all the time..some say it’s the old English but I thought I heard your Alaska in that same language! Anyway that was an amazing camp at the falls and that moon rise was epic! Starting to follow Sloane since you introduced us! Thanks dude..adios! 🙏🤠🏔️🍁
Watching how the body flexes and the frame in concerned about that long term. There were points when the forces looked high. Also I saw the body almost hit the front bumper early on. Careful with your house
im a big fan timmy, i want to see you go back up north to the artic circle again and get passed where you had to stop last time. i have enjoyed your time in the lower 48 tho and i hope you have too! cant wait to see you back home tho i cant lie, congrats on the home you worked so hard to create. never stop being yourself !!!!
Timmy this is awesome I love the new mic! if you're having trouble with the mic, try clicking MONO somewhere in the setting of the mic or app (If there is one) this allows for the sound to come out off both ends not just one. I hope this helps!
Another cool video !! Your sound from in the cab of your truck is way better now. I don't have to play wtth the volume any more !!! Thanks !! P.S. I don't know who rated those trails you went on, Maybe they meant 3 times 3 !!
you should do the clockum road from Ellensberg to Wenatchee next time in Washington state its beautiful and just what you like for offroad. Washington state has whats called the green dot road system and forest service roads.
Hello Timmy, It’s been a minute since I had the chance to catch up with you on here. Love the content even more! I sent this one to my dad he’s not well and in a Care Home. There are only so many old westerns to watch. Anyway he worked in a Ford Plant for 45 yrs and retired. He’s a Ford Nut! He will love your truck and adventure. I’m sure it will make his whole day! So what’s the plan now that you have it all? The truck, the camper, Alaska, the house, (which is fantastic, I must say), and most important “the girl” ! I know! A DOG 🐶 to complete the package! btw, I use Orgain as well. Super great stuff. I’ve been drinking only Orgain smoothies for the past year. Lost 35 lbs and feel great. Perfect option for a lazy cook. Lol I’ve been watching your new stuff and going backward. Lol God safety and blessings upon you! DCR. H2H Ministry
It's weird. The new microphone you use, I only hear sound out of 1 earbud. Lol. I tried other videos and both work fine. 😊 I'm so happy I'm finally able to sit down and watch.😊
Timmy, have you thought of rebuilding your truck house using 6" thick ridged foam board for the walls, floor, and roof and fiberglassing the inside and out with strategically placed anchor points to screw into to secure things. The kitchen cabinet can be made from foam board that has a fiberglass sheet or veneer on each side. Foam core composites are crazy lightweight, are super insulative from the heat and cold unlike fiberglass batts. The bed frames and any upper cabinets can be made of the same laminated foam composite panels. I figure getting rid of all the heavy solid wood of the truck house structure and the inside cabinets and bed frames will save about 1,500 lbs. That equals increased fuel mileage thus longer range for those winter expeditions, less tire wear, less weight when off-roading increasing clearance, burning less wood because of the superior insulation of the foam core walls, floor and roof, less chance of your water jug freezing. I would also have a removable chimney pipe like Forestry Forest uses. While the woodstove is necessary as a redundant heat source maybe get a smaller(save some weight) catalytic woodstove so you get more heat and longer burn times from the wood. You would do better with a flat roof as you could install 3-4 large solar panels for added power capability. The panels could be mounted on an aluminum frame with a ball screw the when turned raises one end of the panels to bring in power even at low sun angles during the winter and then lowered flat in less than a minute for travel.
Loved this one, Timmy. I bet you had fun editing this vid (and reliving it)! 🤩 some great footage of the gnarliest 3 evah. Looks like a blast although the pucker factor BIT more intense when you're toting your home with you 😂😳 Much respect for the YR-mobile, she's a beast 💪🏼💪🏼 Love the T-ville area but I now must do the Falls next time 😊😅 Keep the great content coming 👍🏼👍🏼
Your videos have given me great inspiration. I'm trading my '04 Rubicon with 192,000 miles to my mechanic, to fix up my '75 K-10 Silverado that has only 97,000. She has a rebuilt automatic and a Holly carb with less than 100 miles on them. I'll be pulling my '73 Dodge bed trailer and camper shell. I'm leaving my grid free home of 15 years to begin my next adventure. I'm not planning on traveling very far...I live 15 miles from Yosemite National Park. 😉
Brother, I saw your front wheel spin when you tried to go up that rock. You really should consider a front locker to go with your rear locker. It will really help,I have one in my 4 x 4 van front and rear air lockers ARB. Best thing I ever bought.
In Utah I’d consider a “Subaru” trail to be a 1-2 tops. Toquerville falls is definitely a 3 when you compare it to 6-7 rated trails in nearby sand mountain.
Yeah buddy. That trail is beyond rough in a lightweight 4x4 and aired way down. Then you getting off the main road was really interesting for that camper. OBS Ford handled it like a champ though💪
Good old Phil. This is Julianna's (the overlander nextdoor) uncle, Rob. They were a thing for a while. Phil seemed like a pretty chill guy. Julianna misses it out there. She is domesticated now. It's difficult to replug in after 3 years of overlandering full-time.
Hey Timmy, like the premiere and kind of missed it had to watch the replay, but anyway, just please say safe and hopefully you’ll figure out what’s squealing on your truck for you. Get too far in Alaska and something happens, so stay safe. God bless and much love from South Carolina
I’d say that trail was BONEY! Or rugged, if you prefer - broken, rocky, uneven. Enjoyed watching both of you negotiate it in your trucks. 👍👍 “Peace y’all!”✌️
hey been watching for a min thank you for all your videos you have motivated me to get out there and explore this world and helped me through some dark times with your words, i hope you the best on your journey. be safe, i have been wondering tho do you have a video of you building the house on the truck

ouch. thanks for pointing that out
Nice catch, just rewatched and saw it too.
Nice catch. Hopefully Tim recognized that when editing the footage.

I take my Jeep up a lot of trails in Georgia and those are not mild trails. That truck of yours is super impressive.

same here!
Lav mic problems. Mine does pitching sound and now I'm back to the old one.
Same here
Thanks for the vid timmy! Thanks for all the inspiration, I was really struggling with anxiety and agoraphobia due to my PTSD and your vids are literally what got me back out into adventures again last year. Now i have my own land and im building a house myself all thanks to you buddy!
Your comment alone is inspirational. What state/area did you choose for your homestead? What terrain? Beach, mountains, plains?
Congratulations!
Epic campsite. Safe travels and thanks for the ride.
Nice to see you’ve been putting videos out rather quickly and that’s amazing that your truck made it through that trail and somebody needs to change the trail rating to a 7 1/2

When you mentioned going to toquerville falls in the last video I knew the next video would be interesting. That trail is rough as hell to get there!
I bought that blend jet and the organic protein powder. It's pretty solid.
Ok you succeeded to make me a little nervous again but that’s how we roll in our beautiful state - I’m glad you’re enjoying! The sound is so much better.
Watching that had me gritting my teeth 😬. Good job with driving that truck up hills. 👍
It’s mind blowing what you take that truck through !!
Great to see you Timmy. Safe travels. I’ll be watching.
Some foreshadowing in this episode Timmy!!! Mind Blown!!!
Thanks!
Great cinematography! Love your vids!
From watching Matt and Rudy I've gathered that toquerville used to be a 3, but with all the traffic in recent years it's deteriorated into more like a 6 or 7
We need you, never stop
That trail is ridiculously insane 😮
I just love the music you playing in this video and also really enjoying the wick release of your videos... thank you and have fun!!!
Thats some Rough Road....compared to that champagne Powder you will bed riding soon!!! Cant wait to see you relaxing on your couch at home playing music for a well deserved break!! @6:45 that core support popped up like the mount is broken
I thought so too, but the flex tho 💪
I love watching you 4 wheel your house on trails Jeeps would be doing. Awesome job Timmy!!!
Beautiful country! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful scenery!! Thank you for sharing!! Safe travels back to Alaska!!🛻
Thank you Timmy. I support your channel with my heart.
Thank u Lonn!
Early into your ascension we see the right front finder ,grill and hood pop up like the chassis mount is sheered off. According to your time stamp on your video it’s at 6:51-52. I hope it’s just flexing
Sony mic sounds awesome 😊
Great way to bring in the New Year! I love your channel! Keep it going man, you’re quite literally inspirational!
Wow, gorgeous, rugged...the moon shot and falls..wow..thanks for shaing ❤
This is nuts. The isolation and ruggedness are amazing. I could never drive those roads. It scares me just to watch!
you could do it!
Georgia!? Hell that’s where im at! never knew you’d venture this far out
I used to live in St George. This trail has changed a lot over the years. 15 years ago any car could have made the drive back to the falls on this road, but numerous heavy rainstorms plus the rise in popularity of side by sides over the past 15 years have left the road in its current state.
Utah is kind of known for sand bagging trails. A Utah 3 can be anywhere from 3 to 5. and if it is raining.. then it could be a 12.
Howdy Timmy! Did I hear ya say “Alasker”? I am from rural Va and our local dialect somehow makes words end in r all the time..some say it’s the old English but I thought I heard your Alaska in that same language! I'll be there, can't wait!!!🤟
Reminds me of Pillar Mountain in Kodiak Alaska, where we lived for 4 years. Keep on truckin dude with your great videos.
Bravo.......wow........shaken , not stirred ......cheers
Watching how the body flexes and the frame in concerned about that long term. There were points when the forces looked high. Also I saw the body almost hit the front bumper early on. Careful with your house
I'm heading home from vacation tomorrow, but I will be watching as soon as I get home! 😊
Enjoy Michael!
100% subscribing to sloans channel. She drove trails like it was Nobody’s Business…much respect for that 👌🏻🙌🏻
I went up there in my 1974 Dodge Commander RV it is four wheel drive but I've been to the falls many times in it with no problem
Great stuff, but 25% more happy dance woulda been awesome. 😍
Sorry to hear about Sloanes accident.
Do you know her channels name?
That waterfall was beautiful, what a camping spot!
Coffee and a protein shake every morning.... good thing you have a porta potty. That would kill me.
The hat Timmy, it’s a very nice accessory! I’m digging it, it’ll only look better and better the more miles you put on it.
Love it. When trucks finished plant it in the front yard
im a big fan timmy, i want to see you go back up north to the artic circle again and get passed where you had to stop last time. i have enjoyed your time in the lower 48 tho and i hope you have too! cant wait to see you back home tho i cant lie, congrats on the home you worked so hard to create. never stop being yourself !!!!

I’m listening with headphones. Not that fun this way.
@AuntieTrichome 🤣
Yes, it's only right channel currently
he fixed it halfway thru - sounds great tho, better sound for better videos
@@boredom.victim without a doubt a much better quality, even listening through one ear 🤣😉
I bet some of that road was nerve wracking because it was that just to watch.
Another cool video !! Your sound from in the cab of your truck is way better now. I don't have to play wtth the volume any more !!! Thanks !!

Them old 7.3s will go anywhere! Fun trip.
Beautiful nature footage. I would also like to see the inside of your coworker/partner's collapsible tent top.
Whoever built that e40d did an amazing job.
I’m catching up on your road trip. Lots of Utah. Nice. But you never come through our way up here by the Wasatch.
Have a safe trip home Timmy and enjoy the drive
What a beautiful spot to camp by the waterfall with great company. Take care and be safe out there in the road. ✌🏼
That is one beautiful campsite at 27 minutes!!!
I really like the still shots in your videos, cool videography!
Another awesome video. Timmy, cross country traveling with beautiful Ladies all across America. You are living your best life. Keep having fun.
