This is exactly what I did, I ripped a hole using the sheep sheets and had to make a little patch to hot glue over! I trimmed it down a bit to much tho and didn’t put a weight on to compress it down. Works tho!
Hi, this is a great video. Just wondering do you know how many Oz the burlap you use is? I see 7,10 and 12 oz online, 7oz seems to be the most affordable, but I don't know if it will mean a poorer quality of rug compared to 10 and 12 oz.
Well this video was the old way I used to tuft. I was tufting to fast, meaning not enough yarn was going into the cloth. You may be doing it the correct way but moving your gun a little slower while tufting, which will put more yarn in the cloth to make the rug thicker
Try to do always straight lines...avoid diagonal, follow the lines of the fabric, horizontal or vertical, only do diagonal if can't be any other way...learn myself the hard way...even if is a short line rather go straight
Good looks, I can save my rugs now I'm 3 in
Yes. A little patch work won’t hurt

Yes i had to figure it out how to fix the hole because i didn't want to do it all over again
Can you do a video showing how you complete the backing and finish the edges around the rug?
Gotcha

Using the same cloth for tufting like I do lol a lot cheaper than others and does the job
Yes it’s a reasonable price cloth
How do you tuft the lines so close and it not look thick thick on the other side I’m struggling with that part

Bro! Everytime I do diagonals or circles i got holes in my fabric, have you a good advise for it?
If you have the gun with the black trigger I’ve noticed that gun maybe too powerful for burlap
@@TugsRugs it is red trigger gun, and this happen with monk cloth too... always in low

hey buddy, just curious.. did you figure out what you were doing to cause the holes? I see you never got an answer in the comment for your question
so did you pull out tufted yarn to make the tear a shape you could than measure and duplicate? how do you make the patch to fit?
I cut the patch out and then cut around it so it would fit
Good job classmate
