One of the best album closers, hands down. This song completes a motif they had built up through that album from the songs "The Way the News Goes..." and "Absolomb". When you listen to the whole album and finally get to this song, it just completes everything.
Great song pick. Its definitely one of my favorites from a band whos catalogue is filled with songs that really resonate with me. This song still tugs at the heart strings for me because of when this was released in relation to... other life things. Great song off of a great album. Love the videos, you guys are awesome.
The vocals have a distinct post-hardcore/emo tone, but so incredibly rich and smooth... I'm not familiar with the band, but I love the sound- particularly the strings.
I understand the comment about the end of the song feeling very nightmare before Christmas. It always reminded me of the music in Edward Scissorhands. Imo this is one of the best song they've ever written.
Found yall through The Bad Thing, which was the song that put me on to them years ago, and my favorite at the time. Ended up going to pick up hard copies of their albums from Zia Records Las Vegas NV, and the rest is history! I’m so glad I yall heard this before The Bad Thing! This is my all time favorite track by Periphery. Imo, Lune is THE perfect track, from its comfortable pace, without compromising a deep conviction, thanks to Matt Halpern’s drums. Everyone fires on all cylinders in a way that is masterful and full of life. I hope yall can do their studio performance of this, for Meinl Cymbals channel here on TH-cam. I remember hearing one of yall saying you prefer to and appreciate seeing them perform, and the live studio version of Lune is awesome! Look forward to more vids from yall! Thanks for sharing! 🙌
One of the best tracks they have ever made IMO. P3 is still such a good album too though. "Remain Indoors", "The Way The News Goes" are also amazing tracks off this album that I know you would love. Also, you haven't heard his true high till you listen to Satellites. He does a high voice that isn't Head voice/Falseto that blows so many people out of the water.
I am not sure how it works on your channel. I just want to add tracks to your journey in discovering new music. Atleast..do yourself a favor and listen to these two tracks by Haken: Eyes of Ebony and Canary Yellow It really is some of the most well-written prog. outthere in my opinion. Doesn’t get much more grand, melodic and beautiful. Like yourself!! 😍🫵😊 Thank you for great content🙏
Good to see more Periphery on the channel. Lune is amazing

Lune/Satellites best ending album of Periphery ❤

The drum play through video for this track is a great watch.
