HELL YES! I want to see Paul , Rory and Casey attempt the sand trap! YES! Lets do it! 👍👍💯💯
yea but he cant let them have fun alone. fix the tire and get down there to show how its done. lol
Let Casey & Paul try the sand chute
Which Casey? Ladelle or Caseys off road recovery?
Merlin too
@@MrSelmo85 Matt was talking about Casey Ladelle.
That bronco was seriously impressive in the last video
I was seriously impressed actually
I know right
Completely surprised me. Gotta give credit where credit is due.
I think that sand is the broncos strong point
Yeah, I'm not loving the new Broncos, but I was very impressed with Jefe's.
Hey y'all! This is Christopher in the Cayenne. I such had a great time out there with all of you and cannot thank you enough for bringing us along and for being patient after the heat and the sand freaked out the computers. Fortunately the purpose for which we build them (there are 3 more just like it) does not involve sand, but it was a good test of the platform that your team made into an awesome experience. Thank you again for being so good at what you do and for being as nice and cool and genuine in real life as you appear on camera. You're a great group of people and we can't wait to wheel with you again (maybe I'll bring my locked and lifted Scout next time though :)
As someone who loves your VinWiki stories above all others, it was amazing seeing your "cameo" in that episode. When will the Porsche episodes be up on VinWiki? Next time you need to bring "El Chapo" down. Did you make your dinner with the B-52s?
Not sure if you knew this but the best way to reset your Porsche and the faults that were causing issues is to close the doors and windows and lock it with the key for a minute. The faults will still be in the computers but the car will usually reset the safety stops that was causing your issues
@@allenstyer205 - Thank you for sharing this. I did not know this trick at all but I’ll certainly keep it in mind for its future adventures. Thanks again!
I love this comment! I’m definitely jealous that you got to hang with these real genuine good people. 😂
What episode was this?
I bought a car a few weeks ago and because I was researching now my feed is full of channels I would never watch. This black chick from Queens is loving this!!!!
I ran my own construction crew for a couple decades: one thing I would love to see you guys do is just get a 5 gallon water jug and fill it up with ice everyday.. Make a mount on the wrecker so it's always there (you should have one on every vehicle honestly). But that way, you always have extra water with you-- it's always iced down. You can use it as coolant if something happens, etc. etc. I never went anywhere with my crew without having a full jug of water--- and any time I forgot to fill it, it was immediate regret after only a couple hours; even if we all had drinks. Having that water jug just boosts morale too. I'd love to see it integrated into your gear. It's hard to live without it once you have one there all the time: plus it's easier on your crew, so they don't have to keep buying drinks all the time and wasting their money. Free water FTW
Yep, on all of our field trucks we installed a rack to hold a Igloo water cooler. They are life savers.
Also keep some powdered Gatorade or such.
That's a great idea
You're talking about guys that forget to put gas in their rigs and you think they will remember ice?
Great advice - put a mount on the heavy wrecker.
That sand chute will forever be the ultimate test that everyone is held to. Love to see Rory and Paul and Casey give it a shot.
Bring everyone in, all of them, send them to the bottom. That would be a great show
I think Paul and Rory are going to get a slice of Humble Pie.
Rory will definitely make it out with his sand anchor if needed, Paul maybe will possibly make it.@@cojones8518
Robbie in the Laymo, Hillbilly in his Trekker... Merlon in Tow Mater would probably be hilarious... there's so many options.
The engine has a faulty headgasket
I agree w/Tom, if the wrecker hadn't torn up the trail so much, the Banana would have made it without stopping. Obviously, the Bronco performed stellar, I was very surprised at how well it did.
I feel like it is way more interesting watching you guys at the edge of your capabilities, finding new limitations and overcoming them eventually, Im not that much of an off roadie, yet I love watching you all struggling and succesfully achieving your goals, I'd personally would love to see you approaching complicated challenges such as this one, keep it on!
As a friend of mine used to say: "Good judgement comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgement".
Your team has learned a lot more about how the wrecker performs in steep, sand hills.
Damn that's a good one, haha. I'm definitely using that one.
Yes! Absolutely want to see Paul, Rory, Casey, AND Merlin attempt the sand chute. Needs to be under the same circumstances as you guys. They all go down at the same time and have to get another car out that can't make it back out on it's own. On a side note, I really enjoyed watching both of these videos. It was cool to see you attempt something difficult that challenged you. Bring more of that!
AGREED temperature and time of day makes a huge difference when dealing with sand. This time of the year that changes fast in the winter the sand will be much much firmer and not bottomless like the dealt with on day one. Day two you can see the moisture in the sand as the tires dig in. It has to be dry and bottomless to be the same as their first day.
Watch a diesel make it look easy
Yes, yes and yes.
Sand shoot wrecker games 2024~!
No on Merlin because he’d just leave them all in the dust. No contest. 😅😂
Relieved to see the wrecker cruise up out of the canyon. It would be interesting to see the other three guys with their rigs, since the Bronco was able to cruise up in one shot. Maybe there is a sweet spot in configuration/horsepower that works well in that extreme sand environment and it seems like it would be valuable to understand that. Besides that, it would be fun to see another mini-wrecker competition and see who really can do the job the best.
These two videos were a great learning experience for the whole team, and for those of us that ride along with you. Yes, I would absolutely love to see the other off-road wrecker guys in this sand chute competition with you.
Absolutely want to see Paul, Rory and Casey go down there! I want to see Paul’s FJ do it too! Great content. It’s videos like this that remind us that y’all are just regular people living life and enjoying the things you have worked for and have been blessed with!
Paul will definitely need a transmission rebuild after that 😂
Definitely that FJ' is a beast
Why not take all 4 down there. FJ, Grandpa Sherm'S, Casey, Rory, and invite Robbie and his land limo too.
Anything that involves the crews of Matt, Rory, and Paul is a big HECK YES!!!!!! Let the sand chute insanity commence!!!
YES. A rematch is needed. I start having a feeling that sand trap will easily become fun and addictive once you get used to it. After seeing the performance of Morvair, Bronco and Banana I'm definitely in for a rematch: 2 minutes each to climb to the top with no stop.
The 8.1l does have a decent amount of torque. With sand I always see you need more top end power than the low end torque. I own an 8.1l and have done a ton of research. I really suggest a raylar intake. The stock one is very restricting for top end flow. If you haven't had it tuned with the torque management removed that will help too. They detuned to save the trannys. Black bear would be my suggestion for tuning. Having more power in your power band should help having to shift gears climbing a sand hill. Would be cool to see tire deflation weight per square inch test prior to the sand shoot challenge.
A sand chute challenge with Paul, Rory and Casey would be a must watch video.
Just make sure you’re prepared for more than a 3 hour tour Gilligan.
OH YES TO PAUL RORRY AND CASEY 👏👏👏😜👍🏻
I worked many years in Africa in the Sahara Desert. The Best Time to drive in the sand is around 4 AM after the sand has cooled down and is more compact. Once the Sun comes up and heats the sand, it is a whole different terrain. Running in 2 Wheel Drive sometimes works to if you can maintain a good speed. The Front Wheels act as a Packer. But once again, the sand has to be cool.
The value of preparing for the unforeseen! When we went hiking in the mountains we always took what we needed plus 3 days worth of emergency food. Fill up water bottles at every opportunity. Three days is usually enough time for somebody to notice you are missing and to find you (not if you crash a plane in the Andes in the snow - that took about 3 months!).
Absolutely YES! Paul, Rory and Casey MUST come out and make a showing! We want to see that!
I will pay to see Paul, Casey and Rory and their crews sweat and struggle and still smile!!! Sounds terrific!!!!
What a silly question. OF COURSE we want to see you all try the sand chute 😁 And since I’m already commenting, thank you for the entertainment ❤ I don’t know anything about cars, rock crawling or driving on sand, but Netflix, HBO and Prime has been swapped for MORR, Fab Rats, TrailMater and Robby Layton, and Utah is now on the top of my dream vacation list!
Love to see Rory Paul and Casey go down and back up the sand trap. I found and subscribed to their channels after watching all of your videos, and you introducing them... thanks!
We now know that Paul's truck walked right up the chute, Trail Mater didn't do as well, but Rory is a true pro and self rescued himself in no time. That was a great video too.
Nothing would be better than to see Rory and Paul admit that hill is tougher then they thought. As for Casey I think the tracked jeep will have no problems but absolutely would like to see them all try it
Paul has already been there once or twice a couple years back with the white tacoma? That was bobbed, if I remember right he was helping Matt had to do a lot of winching ??
Casey's track jeep will do it without breaking a sweat. It'll be a cakewalk.😊
HELL YES! I want to see Paul , Rory and Casey attempt the sand trap!
Hello Matt, just watching your videos on the sand trap show instantly took me to the Sherp videos of the ultimate off-road vehicle, where its tires can air down when needed and you don't need to get out and lock in for 4 x4😊. Everywhere you guy's went with the recovery vehicle's the Sherp can do and plenty of room to sit or just take your equipment. Granted it doesn't have the power of the tow truck, yet the off-road capacitys are endless.
Glad you got out under your own steam! I concede it was a crappy way to learn something, however it really is great you all took some positive learnings out of this situation to increase your skills and knowledge and improve the Wrecker.
And he’ll yeah to Casey, Rory & Paul making an attempt. And he’ll yeah to charging for a recovery. Perhaps donate the proceeds to the charities and organisations you already donate to!!
Yes, I want to see Paul, Rory, and Casey run up that sand trap.
A big part of the reason the Bronco did so well, is the modern automatic transmissions Ford uses have so many gear ratios, that are much closer together than anything GM had for a lot of years. They also shift significantly faster. The bronco is able to keep the rpms up higher and be in the optimal power range better than many other rigs today. Very impressive!
This series of videos was a Bronco commercial
@@hollythompson9168 essentially, lol
Hell yes tell all them guys to bring on their trucks. Bet they have a hard time doing better than the wrecker. That thing is a beast in its own rank !
Great job guys! So cool of you to show the good, the bad, and the ugly.... so we can all learn. (" I'm sick of learning " - too funny, I love it!) For the record, learned to 4-wheel in Colorado and grew up in the snow of NY. But now I'm a beach guy from NC so do a lot of driving in soft soft sand. I was screaming at the first video "Air down to 5psi!".... "Get a shovel and fill in your ruts!".... But I know what exactly what you are talking about to lose sight of the obvious in the heat of battle. Great job and keep up the good work!
I viewed your time at the sand chute like a military exercise or war game. You go some where challenging to test and validate concepts and procedures. You do a lesson’s learned which reinforces the successful processes and you change or fix what didn’t work. Excellent videos showing the whole process.
Hell yeah! Send them down with a Porsche too.😂
Having Casey, Paul and Rory join in the pain of the sand chute sounds like a blast
But Rory has a powerful tool in the land anchor he built, would probably only take one try, maybe two and winch out if necessary. I have seen people use land anchors in mud in a four wheel drive race of several hundred mile challenge.
I agree, the more the merrier! Maybe make this an annual event for all the desert recover guys! Perhaps "The MORR Sand Chute Challenge"!? 😊
Been watching you clowns run your shenanigan's for a long time now.... since I started my own build ('95 YJ) and I liked the format of this video.... Probably wouldn't want it for every one of your videos... but it was a nice change. Keep up the good work!
Gotta do it !!!!! Need to get a shroud on that fan. Great job and video. Thanks to all of you.
These last two videos have been great! Adventure, some adversity, plenty of perseverance, and no one got hurt. All that combined with the good natured crew is a recipe for another grand slam home run! AND, I'd ABSOLUTELY want to see if Paul, Rory, and Casey are up for the challenge.
Honestly, this makes y'all look better. Humility is important. Failure is good. No doubt y'all learned some things and it shows that sometimes, things don't work out. I appreciate seeing the failures, as well as the successes.
It's always good to learn what you have and what y'all can do. With the upgrades that you did I'm quite sure that the wrecker would handle that hill very well. I enjoy watching your channel. I was in the towing and recovery for 12 years. I would love to see your operation in person one day. Have fun and stay safe.
YES!!! My husband and I watch your show(s) every week and love them! Coming to visit you is on our bucket list. We look forward to seeing Southern Utah off-road wreckers have a sand chute "shootout"!
You mean a ChuteOut. :)
You simply couldn’t ask for a better training scenario. The entire team, an unexpected euro paper weight, the element of surprise. Give yourself some more credit. Strong work!
Paul, Casey and Rory. What more could we wish for? Looking forward very much to see them all together. Congrats. on getting the Wrecker out and I think you would have learnt a lot from that. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was urging you on. Thanks from Australia for the entertainment. This 81 year old girl sure enjoys your videos.
Love the show, glad you got the truck out but I only have 30 yrs experience & would never took all the trucks down without help at the top.....Bronco ruled, thanks for the entertainment
Auto-recovery! Nice!
Guys please install or use seatbelts on those rigs... sometimes it just makes sense. Be safe.
Words to live by.
"Sometimes learning is fun, sometimes learning is hard, sometimes learning hurts." - Matts Off Road Recovery
Such is life
Is there room to relocate the wrecker's compressed air system to a different location? Perhaps not in the engine compartment?
Some things became crystal clear to me in this video that maybe I hadn’t given much thought to before. #1 we all love the wrecker, but Matt really loves his wrecker #2 there really is no quit in Matt and he works hard #3 this is a very dedicated team #4 these videos are much harder work than most of us give credit for
That scuz that you're seeing in the cooling system might be a reaction with the Dexcool that that engine was likely running in it's original chassis. Dexcool turns into that brown sludgy residue when it's mixed with traditional glycol based coolants. It wouldn't hurt to fully flush and clean out the wrecker's cooling system.
Good call. I was thinking those tablets.
42:55 Yes please, doit again!!!!!!. But if you go again down there, make sure you have the right presure in that right tire!
Huge Like frome here.
What impresses me the most about Matt is how cheerful he always comes across even when the chips are down. It looks like lockers and 5 psi were the secret on the wrecker.
Now we need a Lizzy reaction video watching the highlights of this adventure.
Matt's off road recovery video release days, are the best days. Look forward to that MORR video every other day. Thanks for being such a big part of so many lives via TH-cam.
Greetings from Germany to Utah! Yes, I´d love to see such competion!
It's hard to imagine that there is that much combined bad judgment still left in Oregon/Southern Utah!! But you do you! And we'll watch all of the collective videos...
When Jefe made it up the trap, I literally jumped out of my seat in excitement lol. Not really a Bronco fan but that was great to see and glad hes got that rig, he deserves it.
My Dad had a 78 Bronco, and my brother & I took it everywhere in the Superstition mountains east of Phoenix. I'm not a fan of the little Broncos, but Jefe showed what they're capable of.
@@rockysquirrel4776 100% agree. My grandpa had a 2nd gen Bronco with a big block and later also had a Bronco II that was pretty fun as well.
Yes Matt! I'm totally down to watch more "poor judgement" with Paul and Rory... also I think Rory should climb that sand hill backwards.. lol
Cheers to you and all Matt's Off Road Recovery crew!
Rory and Trailmater might make it up the hill easier in reverse than they would forwards. You get the dualies clawing their way through the sand and dragging the front tires rather than pushing them.
Класс серия! Я с самого начала знал что достаточно спустить шины максимально, сделать блокировку, и сделать хороший разгон с правильным переключением и все получиться! Как же я хочу побывать в ваших краях!
Y'all's international wrecker is badass. With those 9 to axles it's probably hard to get the wheels spinning fast enough. I bet it would pull just about anything you put behind it though. Really impressed it made it out of there on its own. One hell of a truck. I love off-roading and would love to own my own recovery service one day.
Great video as always. I'm quite sure we'd all like to see part 3 of this epic story coming to a screen near you. Also, I'm from Calgary Albert's Canada and we were traveling from Zion to Kanab on Labour day Monday. I took a chance and stopped in to Matt's yard. Matt's son was there minding the store (I picked up some T shirts) and we chatted for a short while. My timing couldn't have been better as Matt returned from a job with the wrecker. Even though I'm shure he would have preferred to go straight to lunch he opened the gate and spent some time showing us around and talking about the equipment and the channel. Also met Ed and Jamie when she arrived a short time later to go for that lunch. I can tell you that on his channel Matt comes across as a really nice, down to earth and caring guy and that's exactly who he is. Thanks so much for taking the time, it's much appreciated.
Great episode! We watched it twice on TH-cam. We want to see Paul, Rory, Casey AND Merlin on the sand. Epic. Lesson: always take a sandwich, water and fuel!❤
and Victory Pie for the way home
Yeah Merlin too, good point
And extra batteries!
I literally can't wait to hear Christopher's telling of this on Vinwiki
We need merlin in it too, yeah
Love how real you guys are. Never know what might happen on the trail.
“Look at that farmer over there. I wonder what he’s growing? I hope it’s success.”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Matt, you never cease to amaze me. You will put off important repairs until you must address the issue. Usually at the worst time, in the most desolate location and 🤣🤣in the most inconvenient conditions! Keep up the good work. I love laughing at your spontaneous response to most situations, with no plan.
And he still manages to make it work and get it done. No wonder this dude's character is so good. He's been pummeling himself forever. He's a seasoned vet handling difficult things LOL
Thank you for sharing the experience! Guess it is time to change out the right front tire on the wrecker and keep the one on it as a spare. Also want to throw in that you are correct in that the only way to learn, is to do. I think it would make great content to have Rory, Paul, and Casey out there. Once the tire is replaced and the lockers repaired, should also try the wrecker from the bottom one more time. I know you said the mid-way is the perfect staging area for it, but I know deep down inside, you want to see it make the whole climb 😂😂
10:44 dang that truck in the other lane was really smoking them brakes.
I was really impressed with how well the Bronco climbed that hill. It performed a much better than any of the other vehicles.
The fan shroud should be 1st on your list of improvements. New right front tire should be 2nd and non plastic tubes for lockers 3rd. And getting getting Paul, Rory, and Casey together for a challenge would be really great. Casey may have issues with the loose rocks that he can't go around I think. Also thanks for the 4K. Videos are really sharp and colorful. Lastly, the format for this video was very clever. Lots of explanation and lots of video. It balanced well.
Morr Porr
You be tellin them boy's what to do😂, me thinks it's a pleasure to watch them do thing's thar own way eano..? the one thin is tru their problem will be solved. 😮bingo have a great day ya'll 🇺🇸
I really loved when Matt said and I paraphrase that "the banana has more power than the Morvair even though the Morvair has an LS". Those straight 6s make great torque at low and mid RPM ranges they start to fall off at hi RPM making them more well suited to off road, V8s make more HP and torque at the HI RPM ranges, producing wheel spin. That was my fathers off road advice to me 40 some years ago. As you can tell I am a huge fan of Jeep 4.0 L its a rock solid tractor motor second only to the Ford Big Six.
Every patron of the channel should be happy that Matt is not a pilot. He is willing to take on a challenge with equipment in poor condition (no lockers)(dead batteries) (short on fuel) short on coolant, both human and mechanical. We call that a CLUSTER *%^#$ designed by a KNUCKLE HEAD. Good job Bronco!
This is officially my new favorite TH-cam channel! I've been through situations like this in northern Michigan as well as Colorado. It's always an adventure!
I would like to see Paul, Rory, Robby, Casey, Heavy D and Merlin. It would be a fun time with fellow wreckers. Lots of hugs from Las Vegas NV.
As someone that specializes in getting +10k lbs machinery stuck off road, i can say i did not find a single fault with your thought process. You knew you had o test the wrecker on the hardest part of your job and when it didn’t succeed you developed a game plan to change things in the future. Good choice in simplifying your machine btw.
But these last 2 vids were my favorite because it involved real problem solving and hard work to accomplish your task. Gave me ptsd flashbacks to carrying a 50lb winch hook and 3/4 inch cable 400 yds through the Florida swamp to hook on to my tractor. A
And yes absolutely let your friends at the hill and yes they will absolutely get stuck especially the tracked jeep with throw a track and it will be very bad, but they have to learn somehow haha!
Add steel cable lines to the lockers, fix the fan shroud, and thanks for the videos you let us watch. They are the best. Oh wrap the headers to reduce the heat.
That Bronco running up that hill was amazing- I think you guys just helped Ford sell 20 more Broncos !!! I hope your getting a kickback from Ford!!
I would love to see Paul, Rory, and Casey all attempt the sand trap, but I’d also like to see the wrecker properly finished and get a redo to redeem itself. If those 3 make it up the trap then they will hold it over the wrecker forever.
You could easily see the effects of the heat, fatigue, and general exhaustion on everyone's ability and decision making during the first video. Glad you got the wrecker out. If Paul, Rory, and Casey want to get stuck at the bottom of the Sand Chute, I say let them and bring some hydration and popcorn because it should be a show.
The engine has a faulty headgasket
Thank god that dog was just chillin in the shop. That good boy needs a deployable harness umbrella system so he can lay down for a second under shade
Absolutely Paul and Rory. These were two very good videos. Even the talk sitting at the desk today was an essential part of the adventure. You guys are such a good group with great comradary and are all skillful making videos another so long video with the entire group on this hill could be another good one. I would even take it a step farther, Paul willing. In addition to the wreckers it would also be interesting to see what his FJ would do, maybe even Mikes radical crawler could join in. It's crazy capable in the rocks and being light with big tires might be the wild card. Could make a big production out of the challenge. Of course your day with all your vehicles was made more interesting because of all the problems and work it it took over a long day to get back up it would be a spoiler if Paul and Rory just breezed up.
But absolutely get them there and we all benifit by getting additional videos on their channels.
I’d really enjoy more of the after action interviews of the extreme rescues.
9:23 Matt, it was BRUTAl. You and most the crew looked physically spent that day. I can't believe you're up and at 'em the next day. Nice work man.
I thought Matt was going to collapse outright. He was staggering and talking drowsy, all the signs of heat exhaustion. I thought for sure that was ending in an extraction.
That Bronco surprised me, that thing did well in the sand!
Makes me want to turbo my Taco.
This, has been an absolutely outstanding, no. Scratch that. It is, a FAN-FRIGGING-TASTIC!!!! Video!! Way to go MATT & TEAM!! BRAVO! 👍 BRAVO !!👍 BRAVO!!! 👍
I want to see Paul , Rory and Casey attempt the sand trap! YES! Lets do it!
I felt so bad for Matt that night. Never saw him so beat down..... So good to see the wrecker come out. Looking forward to seeing the other crews give it a shot. It'll be a good video!
HOW TO EASILY GET OUT OF DRY SAND:
Next time, on a dry sand trail, just take a roll of wrapping paper and spread this paper on the trail where the tires will pass and the vehicle will run as if it were on concrete. In fact, always carry paper in your vehicle, as even if it is already "stuck" in the sand, it will come off easily. Suggestion from someone who has been riding on sand for 40 years.
Just seen this video, after watching the prequel! 😂
Well done on making it look so simple the second time around! TBH, it's the additional air-down that makes all the difference. Everyone knows that 20psi is a lot better than 40psi, but what's not very intuitive, is that you get *more* benefit from each psi drop in pressure than you do from the previous psi drop. So to double the tyre's contact area when you're at 40psi, means you need to drop by 20psi. But to double it again, you only need to come down another 10psi. Once you're at 10psi, if you drop by just another 5psi, you double the footprint again.
(OK, that's not completely true, because the vehicle's weight is not entirely supported by the air - the actual rubber and steel in the tyre carry a little bit of the weight. But it's not much - how much weight do you need to fully collapse a tyre with 0psi? Maybe the first 50kg of load is carried by the rubber, all the rest is carried by the air, and after deducting that 50kg from the load, the contact area will be proportional to how much pressure the air is under.
Also, there a limit to the airing down you can do, because if you don't physically have enough rubber, then at some level of low pressure, you run out of rubber to spread out, so the wheel-rim starts carrying the weight, not the air.)
We came to Utah to visit Zion and just had to stop at the shop while driving through Hurricane. To my delight we saw the entire fleet including the Wrecker right after this video was released. Zack gave us a tour of the yard and represented the company very well. I also think he want to drive the Morvair.
Would absolutely love to see all the boys together to do this. I love seeing collab videos with all of you. Glad you got out safely.
He'll ya . It's an awesome learning experience and we the viewers love to watch it. I will probably never get do2n there to experience that cool stuff. Looking forward to watching it up here in Ontario Canada. Thanks for all your videos. Brad.
Enjoy seeing the other recovery companies try the sand trap! BUT, I want to see the worlds largest wrecker conquer and dominate the sand trap after it is modified. Thanks
I have total faith in you guys and didn’t hesitate to say I was in! :) And true to your word, you got everybody out and we had an awesome time doing it. Thank you for bringing the VINwiki SWAE Porsche and our team along. We’ll get stuck with y’all anytime!
I went through a stage where my adventures tended to turn into fiascos so seeing the video of this happening to Matt I really felt how Matt must have been feeling. That said as someone watching from afar the whole thing seemed really heartwarming to me and makes me think how proud Matt must be of his friends. They had your back to whole time, that moment when Matt was realising how bad the situation was and Tom Tom came out with the joke about shelter and food was just the best example of him just lightening the mood and helping Matt cope. Plus Jefe's Bronco just being the dark horse out of nowhere, he must be so pleased with that car :) Anyway I'm rambling but I wanted to say as bad as this must have felt at the time in a couple of weeks the only things you will remember will all be positives and if you think about it there is a lot of positives things to learn from the whole thing.
I just wonder how many viewers went out and bought a Bronco? OR at least put in on their wish-list.
Love watching you all as a team work so well.
MATT I HOPE YOU SEE THIS!! You should really take those headers off, get them heat protect coated(painted). It will help and its not that expensive, better than wrapping them. You could wrap them as well but with wraps you're vulnerable to moisture getting trapped in between the wrap and exhaust and end up with rust. So id start with painting them and get a good heat shield made. Also get some heat wraps for all the wires and plumbing that gets too hot from the headers
Given the Wrecker was an unknown quantity with little prep for the sand chuter I think it did well. No matter what is done or adjusted during the building phase one can't cater for every eventuality, now you know the score a few tweaks and it will cope with everything.. Great video loved seeing the first one, and the second, and what a great job the Bronco did, but of course that was down to the driver and co pilot not the machine LOL. Great video looking forward to the more!! Good friends and wonderful family, I know it's wicked but as I am alone in the world bar one, I really envy the friend family situation. And look forward to the triple challenge, of Paul Rory and Casey. All of that said, I reckon Lizzy could have got the wrecker out on her own 😄😆.
I miss Lizzy!
Definitely want to see Rory vs Paul vs Casey on the chute. You should fix the tire and the lockers on the heavy wrecker and go for a redemption run.
yes but wait til it cools own so not hot when they do it
Great work gentlemen. No such thing as failure except not doing it as long as you learn and keep going forward with better off. Way to go.
My husband and I loved the sand chute videos. We were both hollering and cheering you through your disappointments and successes. We both got excited when the Bronco eased it’s way up the hill. We own an old Bronco so we’re a bit partial😊.
We would love to see Paul, Rory and Casey try to conquer that terrible sand trap.
I remember my father having a Bronco back in the seventies. That was our prospecting rig and it'd go anywhere we needed it to.
Oh a sand chute challenge with Rory, Paul and Casey would be perfect! Maybe just don't take EVERYBODY to the bottom at the same time...LOL! Matt does not have a give-up bone in his body. He IS gonna make it happen, one way or the other. We look forward to the latest adventures of Matt, Jamie, crew and friends every week. Always fun to see what's going on, be it on the trail, in the shop, on a rescue or a challenge!
Bettet book diesel brothers in just incase
Bring it on!! Let's see it! I love to see all you guys together!
Having the other guys run their offroad rigs up the sand chute would make an amazing video
Yes, you should definitely have those guys bring the rigs out to see who can make it up there. When I was watching your first video and you were having so much trouble in there I kept remembering our mantra from days gone by “you ain’t stuck till you have to walk out“.
So very impressed with that Bronco. Only vehicle that seemed to effortlessly walk all over that sand!!!
Listen to WHY...Matt said it was because the Porsche smoothed out the sand making it easy for the Bronco to drive on..
The Jeep went after the Wrecker and the Wrecker made huge holes, pitts in the sand!!! Jeep would have flew up it with no issues...Bronco did good but the sand wasnt the same, totally different!
@@mypronouniswtf5559 nah, I’m not buying that at all.
The engine is light with quite the hp with the Ecoboost, large tires locker just the right recipe. Even if you hate Ford Jefe knows what he has works well.
