After playing Black Ops 6 Zombies I know a TON of you are interested in my first impressions so here they are! The video is split into good and bad, all with constructive feedback on what I liked and disliked. This is also impressions from ONE SINGLE game so there is so much of the mode I haven't experienced properly yet, or had enough time to properly learn, but I hope you find this insightful and get a better idea on how the game looks and feels. More hands on impressions to come on August 28th when I'll be playing/livestreaming the Liberty Falls Zombies map from COD NEXT! Any questions, leave them below I'll try answer them all!

Yes, bring back the 10 points per bullet hit! Without it we're missing out on loadout strategies, you always wanted at least 1 machinegun to get you points vs now we only want high damage weapons as the kill is the only thing that matters...
@@carsyntruong4881frr, not just that it adds skill, and if you know how to max points it doesn’t matter if you spend more time shooting zombies in the leg on early rounds as you’ll actually progress further in the game compared to if you just killed the zombies faster (but not always so it takes more skill to learn when you kill zombies as fast as possible and when to maximize points (usually towards the end of the round once all zombies spawn in or slightly before since your still waiting on the zombies to spawn and have time to max points) and this is in itself another skill pay necessary for speed runs or just playing professionally which always is satisfying and rewarding) weak guns also get a use with this older point system and there’s more of a balance and variety of weapons, because yea a pharo is bad (from bo3) but it’ll get you a lot of points compared to a drakon, and so you can decide if you want a point gun or remove your point gun when you have a strong gun already and then spin the box and see another strong gun etc
Oh please, this still looks superb compared to bo4, vanguard, and whatever that mw3 zombies was. There's been a shift for a return to form. This is like a bo3-CW hybrid in some aspects but also its own at the same time. The first four iterations of zombies were undoubtedly amazing but CW and bo6 both seem to be more than fair in their own right.
Nobody ever complained about the buildable shields. They were unique to every map, basically free, and incredibly simple. Why did Treyarch feel the need to change that and add in those stupid warzone plates and armor system?
Laziness. They can just take the system that warzone developers made for free and add a new skin or something to the armour plates. I don't think theu care anymore, they're just there to collect the paychecks and I don't blame them since they're working for this money hungry company.
1. Get rid of the loot system 2. Get rid of the armor system 3. Give us 3 hit down 4. Give us the perks how they used to operate 5. Give us the old point system They said some random bs about bo3 being the standard, but the only thing it looks like they brought from bo3 is gobblegums…. Thats it.
to add to this i feel like the loadout system needs tweaks, either remove it completely and give us the bo3 weapon customisation system, or nerf the starting weapon so you're forced to get other guns. also i feel the rarity system is largely underbaked
Been playing zombies since WaW. Here's what I think they should do for zombies: - old point system (10pt per hit) - bring back buildables (they were unique to the maps and added a layer to your game) - double-buy perks with enhanced upgrades, like having a one-time Phoenix Up on QR that you have to rebuy or faster aiming and equipment for Speed Cola - upgrade perk limit to 6 - classic Wunderfizz (randomized with animation forcing you to wait) - BO3 PaP with additional PaP tiers that force you into the classic animation (I hate the UI menu for PaP) - gobble-gum perk that allows you to hold more instead of being able to hold many and/or switch around - bad weapons (because that's zombies and PaP gave opportunities to create unique upgrades) - 3 hit down system - specialist abilities? (I'm not crazy about this idea) I want these changes BECAUSE I don't like Cold War, specifically: - armor - zombies dropping salvage - new point system - weapon tiers - Wunderfizz and PaP just being a UI (part of the fun was waiting or risking your life) - crafting (it's okay but with how powerful equipment is, would be better scarce) - buyable killstreaks (it's not zombies with these unless it's just a weapon)
I think you could get away with regular priced perks up to 6, then jack up the prices (late game sort of thing) for additional perks. Also, regarding double-buy of perks, I think these upgrades could just be integrated as separate wonderfizz-exclusive perks. (this one needs more thought I think). I think the gobble-gum perk thing is not the greatest, considering it's literally balls of gum. You have pockets. I think bo6 at least got this right. To add to the buyable killstreaks thing: traps are the zombies version of that! Map-specific traps (maybe even craftable traps) would alleviate this as eventually, the guns are not enough to finish hoards (think kino map train with electric trap by mule-kick strat). To tie together the salvage and weapon tier system: bring back starting weapons (even the bo4 system wasn't that bad, but nothing beats the reward of m1911 to mustang and sally). Finally (personal thought), I liked the blackout system of in-game weapon attachment mods so like all weapons start at base and you have to buy attachments. otherwise very solid list!
@@JoelDOrryou have to have an Internet connection and be connected to their servers at all times. You cannot play without internet. That's what he's saying. You shouldn't have to be always online to play a solo game, only multiplayer.
Do you not know what online only means? The ability to play solo does not mean you can play the game if your dont habe internet . You have to be connected to the servers. You need an internet connection. If you pull out a xbox 360 and put the disc in you can play cod offline is that a better explanation for you?
Can we all say that we miss the sound and bullets that came out of the guns when pack a punch. In bo2 the pack a pinch guns made a cool fun sound n had tracers

How about we stop with the “BRING BACK X OR Y OR Z” they’re not going back to BO2. Get a reality check. It doesn’t make sense nor is it possible. All you people do is complain.
I’d honestly prefer bo4’s pack a punch system of just pack a punching 5 times as a single progression on your weapon then having 4 rarities to progress through and 3 pack a punch tiers to go through separately that are both just for damage it’s stupid
It feels like I’m playing borderlands sorting through all these wacky ass weapon rarities 🙄 as the other guy said I’ll take the bo4 system any day over this trash
@@tool77273 idk, cold war didnt require you to always have 3 plates active. In fact plates were hard to use because you had to run back and repair which meant most of your gameplay was without plates anyway
@@tiporialthere was more to complain about, armour was the least of what felt wrong. Plus Bo4 zombies had shield mechanics so we kinda eased into it but the hindsight makes a lot of us want to go back to it being a perk (BO4) or out of the game.
A minor nitpick: The HUD is not it for me. Even with the classic look, it feels like a warzone with a layer of zombies. I wish they went with a zombie-specific theme like Shadow of Evil or Der Eiendrache. Small changes like that make a huge impact. At least we can pick what we want to show on screen, which is great; I will go for a minimalistic look.
Yeah game developers sometimes ruin such good games just by the hud , the hud is truly one of the most important parts of a game bo4 was significantly less playable because of the hud
@@musicimpact7120 I did, yes. However, this HUD is worse; I think it's primarily due to the addition of spray/emotes, which clutters up the screen. The Gobblegums could be presented better and not like Killstreaks. The CW zombies had uniformity; this feels like they mashed a bit of everything. Again, this is just a nitpick. The option to show what you like is enough for me.
no... if anything the community is more divided into hypetrain players that have never touched a zombies mode. or hardcore players playing since the beginning asking why treyarch continue to spit in our faces and lie to us
I'm just gonna stick to blop3 mods and vr blops zombies. So much is gone, I get evolution, but it's lost its identity completely. People that aren't from the og days just don't get it.
Even pack a punch looks lame it used to be so fun to risk putting your gun in and hearing the jingle and waiting that time for your gun to go in and upgrade

For real. Warzone ruined my favorite mode of all time and I've been playing since waw. I didn't mind any changes made before bc it didn't change the core gameplay much at all until bo3 and onward. And I love bo3 and usually play no gums no aats traditional style and still have so much fun to this day bc of the challenge. Changing the point system in bo4 was the first real disappointment I had and then warzone completely ruined everything after and all of the original devs who put their soul into the mode are gone and the lightning left the bottle

One thing I’m really impressed by is the body physics. I love how the zombies fly through the air from explosions and I feel like it looks the best here.
We will never get back to anything like bo3 zombies. Literally the most played zombies game to this day. They really need to take hints based on what people are actually playing

You know what sucks? You guys remember that overwhelmingly excited feeling for zombies coming in the new game, excited to see the new map, wonder weapons, the new boss etc… What sucks is that feeling is gone.
I do feel that. I am very surprised we are having both maps with gameplay shown so early before the game comes out. Clearly the days of secrecy are long gone...
They milked it dry every cod that’s came out has a zombies mode I would clap my hands if they come with any other mode it would’ve made more sense to me to completely separate zombies

@@sageArt23 I loved Extinction for that reason. I liked when Treyarch has Zombies, and it was heavily applied that Infinity ward would have Aliens. But nope. Scrapped for more zombies.
Idk, I feel like they’re adding a lot of things that remove the challenge and fundamental progression of zombies. Carrying multiple gobblegums at once, loadouts, augmenting perks/wep mods (permanent player power upgrades), etc.
PaPn 400 times as well and never losing any of them due to zero animations. These players will never know the sadness of putting a Ray gun into the machine and losing it because you get fked over by a zombie 😂
it looks like a cold war repaint they literally have the same assets from bocw (2020) it looks low effort ; how are they unable to create a unique zombies experience with different assets and animations

I just wanted to zombies be what it was in bo3. Og pack a punch, og starter pistol ( can even be the bo4 system idc, just remove this loadout stuff), no upgrades for perks, just the own perk and that’s it
i liked the perk upgrade system that Vanguard had where you'd buy the perk more times to get better stuff, i feel like they werent gonna include that purely because of how bad vanguard was recieved

I love this comment section, because it seems like most people agree: This game is not going to be good. Bringing back gobble gums is like the only feature from bo3 that we have. The stupid armor system, annoying salvage drops, the absolutely abysmal point system are going to ruin this game just like Cold War. This is not going to be bo3 2. This is just Cold War 2. On that point, the story will never be as good as the bo3 story.
Warzone killed zombies completely. Now the mode is forced to be a brain dead shooter with none of the satisfying elements of zombies that lasted up until BO4. Don't think they'll ever go back since they only want to cater to the warzone players that only want fast action garbage
bro what cold war zombies was quite fun. And tbh if you really think they will bring back zombies like they used to be ur delusional. Also these zombies are alot easier for newer players wich is why the playerbase for zombies will be bigger.
@zingyboxer i remember playing a lot of origins in bo2 and prioritizing getting the shield built because i felt so vulnerable without it. That was definitely peak zombies for me. I loved the challenge. Definitely agree that shields should come back. I loved bo3 zombies as well, but i always felt like the difficulty in bo2 would always make me feel more accomplished when going for high rounds.
i feel like most people who play zombies nowadays are people that want an easy ride that you can play twice and never touch again. i see so many people complaining and even more people telling them to leave and that its not their game, almost as if fans are allowed to have a voice and tell treyarch that what they're doing with zombies is killing the fanbase more than appeasing them. me included, im not gonna buy bo6 for the zombies if it turns out to be cold war - 2

@@MrDalekJD you have to remember, SHG and Raven where making a game for that year but couldn't agree so treyarch got thrust in last minute. Cold War while not the best is a very solid game.
Spawning in with your favorite weapon makes wall buys and the mystery box pointless. The Easter eggs in shadows of evil gave you upgraded wepons, shields, the sword, the apothican servant, free gobble gums, and it just seems like they aren’t gonna do that.
Honestly, I don't want to ever go back to being forced to use guns I don't want set up in ways I don't want. You can literally just start with a vanilla 1911 and play like the old days. They aren't forcing you to use top tier weapons. It would be cool to see a separate "classic" mode for those that want it though.

Yea honestly I loved zombies that’s what initially brought me to cod waw when it first came out I just wish that they would quit trying to make every game mode feel like a battle Royale even zombies feels like I’m playing warzone it doesn’t feel the same training doesn’t exist points isn’t the same and it’s just not enjoyable I haven’t played this yet but from the gameplay I’ve seen it makes me lose hope in the return of zombies

I miss the old days where you just started with a pistol and buy weapons from the mystery box and hoping for the best, i miss crafting staffs like in origins and the old easter eggs like bo1 bo2. What they are doing now is that they give you loadouts gobble gums so you have to buy weapons from Cod store and to buy the battle pass so they can earn extra money. When this stores were introduced in gaming, it just got worse. Including COD, Fifa etc, where you have to buy packs to really play the game. This must stop. They have to use the stores the proper way, not forcing gamers to buy.
Those were the days. But they'd never go back to that system because being able to use loadouts is a big selling point for warzone players to buy the game just so they can easily level their guns for warzone.

Story objective marking within the game. “Easter egg” steps that does not require you to look up TH-camrs doing odd crap to guess at the steps to complete it.
Noticed it when he said "always online is great because now you can save your game..." I'm pretty sure we've been able to have games capable of saving before online was even a concept applicable to games...
Pros: Save and quit Goggblegums returning Rewards for completing EE Cons: CW point system Tiered Weapons Armor plates Online only Loadout System CW pack-a-punch and perk system Perk Upgrades Guided Mode Only reason I'm gonna even try it out is because I can play it for free thanks to GPU. But guess I'll still be stuck with BO1, BO2, BO3, and IW zombies for yet another 3 years.

Devs care more about micro transactions and shortening the game life span than to make an engaging experience. The fact that nobody remembers what CW was about, while BO3 lobbies are full should tell you everything. But I’m sure CW made them more money
People keep confusing devs with the publishers is just infuriating. I can assure, treyarch has nothing to do with the implementation of micro transactions or the life cycle of the game.
I literally had to open the game up and play firebase z again to remember what the map was... whereas a decade later, I remember the bo3 maps (and the bo4 maps tbh, but I don't remember the easter eggs because they were kinda hand-fed)
I stopped at bo3 zombies since bo4 and CW looked so different, but alas the time has come that bo3 is just getting a bit stale and would love some new zombies stuff to play so I’ll be getting bo6, happy to see gobblegums and regular rounds back in place. The other new aspects of the game im not so sure about but im keen to give it a try
A good way to gauge if its BS or not is how he takes things that are almost objectively bad and still tries to spin it as a good thing. Like the fact that u can play online only at 12:10. He tries to spin this as a benefit because of the save feature, as if they couldnt make a game offline be savable and reopened from a later point. Like every game in the last 2 decades.

Do you want all your EE steps leaked three minutes after the update? Or do you want the leaderboards to be forever wrong? No? Then let them use the advantages of modern day servers to avoid so
I think this is harsh BO4 by all means is nowhere near as bad as its remembered and was held in high hopes early on. Blood, IX and Classified are all good maps when ignoring the EEs (IX is still superb either way). Without the blue screens, the fact COD was less popular in general in 2018 due to FN and the obviously worse engine the game would be seen highly. In the world where the game ran perfect on launch BO4 would have good rep. IX, AE, Tag, DOTN are all very good maps
@@anon_125 They could definitely have found a way of safely storing state client side instead of server-side. The only reason they're going online only is monetization and control.
@anon_125 OK then have leaderboards be online only or release offline only on those maps a little while after the main eggs have been completed, games have done it before, also to have the saving be an offline thing is actually easier to implement than it being an online feature

@@Nick6923dnd A lot of people believe it or not. Some people want to have fun rather than sweat all day. Crazy I know. In 2024 of all times. Some people want a casual experience instead of the literal Chinese psychological torture that is multiplayer with SBMM. Cold war was one of the most played and engaged with zombies modes in COD history.
I like how versatile you can be on the map, instead of being stuck following a specific path, you can jump in the water, jump over railings, giving you more ways to play and avoid zombies, which was one of the things I enjoyed with outbreak and mwz, I'm glad even though it's round based, they still allowed us more ways to move.
My final thoughts: Loadouts: I know people hate these, but the easy way I dealt with them in CW is you can either use them to your advantage or don't after all your sole choice like I literally named one Classic and just had basic stuff in it with the old M1911, and then another for whenever I wanted to do the EE or etc. Online Only: Really bad decision but glad they added a countermeasure which is the save and quit thing makes me more happy its Treyarch back in the saddle since they definitely have their thinkers on lol. BO6 Zombies: This seems to be a weird mesh between CW and regular BO zombies and what I mean is it looks good and arcadie again, but if its harder to get to higher rounds, harder to get points now since you have to kill a zombie to get points instead of beating them down and getting points every shot. I think they can either tweak it a little so its back to the basic point system or we're gonna see issues a little bit. Idk tho since I haven't played it myself but sounds weird, and the salvage being back is nice since you have more currency's to work with essentially. Easter Egg: Glad we're getting actually rewards now and I'm hoping it's not too hard for solo players since they seem to be looking out for us. I am excited to see where the story goes cause remember everyone who did or didn't see it but RICHTOFEN is in this story and so is Sam, but she sacrificed herself to save us so I'm really curious to see where this goes. Thx to those who read this completely fine if you didn't of course just wanted my thoughts somewhere about BO6 which I'd say more especially in the BO6 Zombies part, but this is already long enough lol 😂
I wish Treyarch would make two seperate zombie modes one being open-world with contracts and operators and the other round-based with a crew,i also think Treyarch should keep a feature from MWZ and that feature being able to switch between first and third person perspective, i know COD is meant to be an FPS but if Treyarch implemented that feature into BO6 it could appeal to more people that don't like FPS or prefer TPS games over FPS games and the other way around if there was a COD game that had both it would have bigger sales i think
I’d honestly want the zombies to feel stronger then me most of the game. That’s what makes it fun and hard to survive. When I get a gun that just obliterates zombies it’s fun but only for so long.
12:50 i do see save and quit as a positive feature one that should have been implemented as early as bo1 however unless you plan on playing at a different console or location theres no necessity for it to be locked online it could make a quick save file that automatically rewrites itself like thousands of games have done prior yes you would have to have extra space on the console to allow for it to do so but not a reason it needs to be online where in 10 years when they shut the servers down you lost any ability to play zombies... its a cop out using that as the selling point of it being online only when it wasnt till recently your save data was sent to a server rather than your console.
-I don’t mind making points per kill, it makes it harder to stack points (I do that in bo3 all the time) adds more challenge and spend wisely. -The armor not a fan of -I want it to feel like an improved OG zombies like bo3, not an improved Cold War, that’s the reason they brought round based back it should stay that way -I’m not a huge fan of custom loadouts and upgrading your gun 5 times. Double PAP was fine with me. Tbh I wish they’d go back to just spawn with 1911 or put a mode where you do just spawn with a 1911 and you work your way up. More rewarding -I loved BO3 attachment system, hopefully they stick with that -put the 1911 in the box, that’d be sweet to get a chance to get my stang and sally back, but either way will suffice Hopefully there aren’t weapon tiers, just keep the weapons the same tier and it just depends on pap etc A few thoughts but I’m eager to give it a shot!
On your spawning with a 1911 point, if you have a group of people you tend to play with that also thinks this way you guys can set a loadout with just the 1911, so it will be more like the og zombies games.
Just to add something at 3:11 On this topic, we saw a zombie fighting with an soldier or guard. This might be crazy but I think if you shoot and kill the zombie before it kills the npc guy. He will thank you and give you something, maybe a key. Or a piece of information. But i think it would go well as part of an Easter egg
thing is what we want is so simple yet they manage to screw it up everytime. The best zombies were Bo1, 2 and 3. We loved kino der toten, origins, mob of the dead, transit...... We liked it when it was simple. No armor, or weapon mods. You had pack a punch and thats it with the perks. Wonder weapons are nice when they are not from the box and you actually have to build it for the main easter egg. Like the staffs or bows.
I dont think the current Treyarch understand the term "if an't broke don't fix it" literally. But some of these systems (like single player saves) were a long time requests from a decade ago. Nice ... job. wARzONe zoMbieS
I will always enjoy Zombies, the serious hang up for me is Online Only. I hate that. Everyone's time is worth something. The fact that every bit of my progress on a game can go up in smoke because of servers not being avaliable will never be ok.
I really doubt it’ll happen but I’d love to earn mastery camos for wonder weapons. Like if I could put the Dark Aether camo on the ray gun, that would be so cool
Its a shame they don’t just stick to what made zombies popular in the first place. Everything has been simplified and the zombies audience clearly wants things to go back to their roots and nobody listens.
I was plqying BO3 yesterday. That system is the best by far. Best maps, story, systems, weapons, all that. Buuut times have changed we gotta deal with it! BO6 it is!!
I’m glad you have to spend a lot of points to get the high level armor! It makes the game more challenging which was the biggest problem with Cold War to me! The armor and automatic plating also made it super easy and casual to reach high rounds!
Things that need fixing: point system - needs to be reverted to old system salvage & scorestreaks - just remove these from the game loadout system - should be limited to only starting with a secondary of your choice Things I hope they fix: Hud - UI needs a rework, minimap needs to go zombie elites & wonder weapon - are generic & forgettable
I feel like the loadout system could stay if they made it so that you cannot upgrade that gun in any way shape or form WHATSOEVER, forcing you to use literally anything else
@@taelin-rh3wiits zombies… starting pistol is one of the biggest staples of the game. Also trying to use your ammo and knifing for that first door is just something that should have never been taken out of zombies
I personally feel like if they added the Optional HUD, they should add an additional option for points and the loadout system: (So you the player[s] could switch between Cold war style and B03 style gameplay..... Just a thought for the OGs like myself
@@yyxzyy you pap 3 times, you spend 50k on 1 weapon to fully pap it while on older games you only needed to pap once which costed 5k points. Armours cost Points now.
they stated before that new players were confused (??????) as to how the system works and to simplify it for his younger cousin (game is 18+ btw) they made the points for kills only
@@yyxzyy you have 3 pack a punches. you have perks btw of which you can have all of in a game, and when you have triple pap weapons you have upwards of 4500 point ammo refills for when it foes dry, this claim is purely false.
Gonna have a ton of fun with it no matter what. I don’t expect the new games to be like the old games, nor feel like the old games. It will be interesting to see how the gobblegums will be (balanced or not) and what elements will become upgradable, maybe like Cold War with the field upgrades, perks, guns, etc.

I am on the same boat as everyone else. It should be more like BO3 zombies. Less like cold war. Rather than the other way around. No salvage, no armor plates, etc. That stuff is just unnecessary in a zombies mode. I feel like everyone in the zombies community has always pointed towards BO3 as the pinnacle of zombies gameplay, and I don't get why going back and expanding on what made it great is such a sore spot for treyarch (atleast, that is what it seems like). BO3 just had a perfect balance between cinematic and arcade gameplay, like absolutely perfect, and it now feels more arcade-y. It really is a shame. I am excited to see what happens with BO6 zombies, but I really really wish the cold war features were not in the game. If they weren't, I think this would be fantastic.
I’ve been pointing out the flaws in zombies prior to BO4’s release and my old friends in highschool laughed at me and called me crazy. Look at where we’re at now. Who had the final laugh? As much as BO3 is an incredible zombies mode, it ultimately led to what we have today because even in BO3 they strayed away from the pure survival aspect of zombies that made WAW and BO1 so special.

After playing Black Ops 6 Zombies I know a TON of you are interested in my first impressions so here they are! Yes, bring back the 10 points per bullet hit! Without it we're missing out on loadout strategies, you always wanted at least 1 machinegun to get you points vs now we only want high damage weapons as the kill is the only thing that matters...
Miss getting points per hit, it does wonders for the flow of the middle to late game

@@carsyntruong4881frr, not just that it adds skill, and if you know how to max points it doesn’t matter if you spend more time shooting zombies in the leg on early rounds as you’ll actually progress further in the game compared to if you just killed the zombies faster (but not always so it takes more skill to learn when you kill zombies as fast as possible and when to maximize points (usually towards the end of the round once all zombies spawn in or slightly before since your still waiting on the zombies to spawn and have time to max points) and this is in itself another skill pay necessary for speed runs or just playing professionally which always is satisfying and rewarding) weak guns also get a use with this older point system and there’s more of a balance and variety of weapons, because yea a pharo is bad (from bo3) but it’ll get you a lot of points compared to a drakon, and so you can decide if you want a point gun or remove your point gun when you have a strong gun already and then spin the box and see another strong gun etc

Oh please, this still looks superb compared to bo4, vanguard, and whatever that mw3 zombies was. There's been a shift for a return to form. This is like a bo3-CW hybrid in some aspects but also its own at the same time. The first four iterations of zombies were undoubtedly amazing but CW and bo6 both seem to be more than fair in their own right.
Nobody ever complained about the buildable shields. They were unique to every map, basically free, and incredibly simple. Why did Treyarch feel the need to change that and add in those stupid warzone plates and armor system?
Laziness. They can just take the system that warzone developers made for free and add a new skin or something to the armour plates. I don't think theu care anymore, they're just there to collect the paychecks and I don't blame them since they're working for this money hungry company.

Been playing zombies since WaW. Here's what I think they should do for zombies:
- old point system (10pt per hit)
- bring back buildables (they were unique to the maps and added a layer to your game)
- double-buy perks with enhanced upgrades, like having a one-time Phoenix Up on QR that you have to rebuy or faster aiming and equipment for Speed Cola
- upgrade perk limit to 6
- classic Wunderfizz (randomized with animation forcing you to wait)
- BO3 PaP with additional PaP tiers that force you into the classic animation (I hate the UI menu for PaP)
- gobble-gum perk that allows you to hold more instead of being able to hold many and/or switch around
- bad weapons (because that's zombies and PaP gave opportunities to create unique upgrades)
- 3 hit down system
- specialist abilities? (I'm not crazy about this idea)
I want these changes BECAUSE I don't like Cold War, specifically:
- armor
- zombies dropping salvage
- new point system
- weapon tiers
- Wunderfizz and PaP just being a UI (part of the fun was waiting or risking your life)
- crafting (it's okay but with how powerful equipment is, would be better scarce)
- buyable killstreaks (it's not zombies with these unless it's just a weapon)
I think you could get away with regular priced perks up to 6, then jack up the prices (late game sort of thing) for additional perks.
Also, regarding double-buy of perks, I think these upgrades could just be integrated as separate wonderfizz-exclusive perks. (this one needs more thought I think).
I think the gobble-gum perk thing is not the greatest, considering it's literally balls of gum. You have pockets. I think bo6 at least got this right.
To add to the buyable killstreaks thing: traps are the zombies version of that! Map-specific traps (maybe even craftable traps) would alleviate this as eventually, the guns are not enough to finish hoards (think kino map train with electric trap by mule-kick strat).
To tie together the salvage and weapon tier system: bring back starting weapons (even the bo4 system wasn't that bad, but nothing beats the reward of m1911 to mustang and sally).
Finally (personal thought), I liked the blackout system of in-game weapon attachment mods so like all weapons start at base and you have to buy attachments.

Plus Bo4 zombies had shield mechanics so we kinda eased into it but the hindsight makes a lot of us want to go back to it being a perk (BO4) or out of the game.
A minor nitpick: The HUD is not it for me. Even with the classic look, it feels like a warzone with a layer of zombies. I wish they went with a zombie-specific theme like Shadow of Evil or Der Eiendrache. Small changes like that make a huge impact. At least we can pick what we want to show on screen, which is great; I will go for a minimalistic look.

@@musicimpact7120 I did, yes. However, this HUD is worse; I think it's primarily due to the addition of spray/emotes, which clutters up the screen. The Gobblegums could be presented better and not like Killstreaks. The CW zombies had uniformity; this feels like they mashed a bit of everything. Again, this is just a nitpick. The option to show what you like is enough for me.
Remember the BO2 zombies leveling system and leaderboard 😢 when will we get back that level of community

For real. Warzone ruined my favorite mode of all time and I've been playing since waw. I didn't mind any changes made before bc it didn't change the core gameplay much at all until bo3 and onward. And I love bo3 and usually play no gums no aats traditional style and still have so much fun to this day bc of the challenge. Changing the point system in bo4 was the first real disappointment I had and then warzone completely ruined everything after and all of the original devs who put their soul into the mode are gone and the lightning left the bottle

Idk, I feel like they’re adding a lot of things that remove the challenge and fundamental progression of zombies. Carrying multiple gobblegums at once, loadouts, augmenting perks/wep mods (permanent player power upgrades), etc.

I love this comment section, because it seems like most people agree: This game is not going to be good. Bringing back gobble gums is like the only feature from bo3 that we have. The stupid armor system, annoying salvage drops, the absolutely abysmal point system are going to ruin this game just like Cold War. This is not going to be bo3 2. This is just Cold War 2. On that point, the story will never be as good as the bo3 story.
Warzone killed zombies completely. Now the mode is forced to be a brain dead shooter with none of the satisfying elements of zombies that lasted up until BO4. Don't think they'll ever go back since they only want to cater to the warzone players that only want fast action garbage

@zingyboxer i remember playing a lot of origins in bo2 and prioritizing getting the shield built because i felt so vulnerable without it. That was definitely peak zombies for me. I loved the challenge. Definitely agree that shields should come back. I loved bo3 zombies as well, but i always felt like the difficulty in bo2 would always make me feel more accomplished when going for high rounds.

What they are doing now is that they give you loadouts gobble gums so you have to buy weapons from Cod store and to buy the battle pass so they can earn extra money. When this stores were introduced in gaming, it just got worse. Including COD, Fifa etc, where you have to buy packs to really play the game. This must stop. They have to use the stores the proper way, not forcing gamers to buy.
Those were the days. But they'd never go back to that system because being able to use loadouts is a big selling point for warzone players to buy the game just so they can easily level their guns for warzone.
We should all comment on COD/Treyarch posts that we want BO3 point system and not CW

Devs care more about micro transactions and shortening the game life span than to make an engaging experience. The fact that nobody remembers what CW was about, while BO3 lobbies are full should tell you everything. But I’m sure CW made them more money
People keep confusing devs with the publishers is just infuriating. I can assure, treyarch has nothing to do with the implementation of micro transactions or the life cycle of the game.

I stopped at bo3 zombies since bo4 and CW looked so different, but alas the time has come that bo3 is just getting a bit stale and would love some new zombies stuff to play so I’ll be getting bo6, happy to see gobblegums and regular rounds back in place. The other new aspects of the game im not so sure about but im keen to give it a try
nothing beats the BO2 rank system thrill. Seeing a skull with a knife/shotguns in your lobby and you knew that game would be a blast!

A good way to gauge if its BS or not is how he takes things that are almost objectively bad and still tries to spin it as a good thing. Like the fact that u can play online only at 12:10. He tries to spin this as a benefit because of the save feature, as if they couldnt make a game offline be savable and reopened from a later point. Like every game in the last 2 decades.

I think this is harsh BO4 by all means is nowhere near as bad as its remembered and was held in high hopes early on. Blood, IX and Classified are all good maps when ignoring the EEs (IX is still superb either way). Without the blue screens, the fact COD was less popular in general in 2018 due to FN and the obviously worse engine the game would be seen highly. In the world where the game ran perfect on launch BO4 would have good rep. IX, AE, Tag, DOTN are all very good maps

Some people want a casual experience instead of the literal Chinese psychological torture that is multiplayer with SBMM. Cold war was one of the most played and engaged with zombies modes in COD history.
@@CTproduction4K you do realise that this is a GAMEPLAY BREAKDOWN, and that the way the GAME PLAYS, must be better than how the maps look.
I like how versatile you can be on the map, instead of being stuck following a specific path, you can jump in the water, jump over railings, giving you more ways to play and avoid zombies, which was one of the things I enjoyed with outbreak and mwz, I'm glad even though it's round based, they still allowed us more ways to move.
My final thoughts:
Loadouts: I know people hate these, but the easy way I dealt with them in CW is you can either use them to your advantage or don't after all your sole choice like I literally named one Classic and just had basic stuff in it with the old M1911, and then another for whenever I wanted to do the EE or etc.
Online Only: Really bad decision but glad they added a countermeasure which is the save and quit thing makes me more happy its Treyarch back in the saddle since they definitely have their thinkers on lol.
BO6 Zombies: This seems to be a weird mesh between CW and regular BO zombies and what I mean is it looks good and arcadie again, but if its harder to get to higher rounds, harder to get points now since you have to kill a zombie to get points instead of beating them down and getting points every shot. I think they can either tweak it a little so its back to the basic point system or we're gonna see issues a little bit. Idk tho since I haven't played it myself but sounds weird, and the salvage being back is nice since you have more currency's to work with essentially.
Easter Egg: Glad we're getting actually rewards now and I'm hoping it's not too hard for solo players since they seem to be looking out for us. I am excited to see where the story goes cause remember everyone who did or didn't see it but RICHTOFEN is in this story and so is Sam, but she sacrificed herself to save us so I'm really curious to see where this goes.

I wish Treyarch would make two seperate zombie modes one being open-world with contracts and operators and the other round-based with a crew,i also think Treyarch should keep a feature from MWZ and that feature being able to switch between first and third person perspective, i know COD is meant to be an FPS but if Treyarch implemented that feature into BO6 it could appeal to more people that don't like FPS or prefer TPS games over FPS games and the other way around if there was a COD game that had both it would have bigger sales i think

I’d honestly want the zombies to feel stronger then me most of the game. That’s what makes it fun and hard to survive. When I get a gun that just obliterates zombies it’s fun but only for so long.

12:50 i do see save and quit as a positive feature one that should have been implemented as early as bo1 however unless you plan on playing at a different console or location theres no necessity for it to be locked online it could make a quick save file that automatically rewrites itself like thousands of games have done prior yes you would have to have extra space on the console to allow for it to do so but not a reason it needs to be online where in 10 years when they shut the servers down you lost any ability to play zombies... its a cop out using that as the selling point of it being online only when it wasnt till recently your save data was sent to a server rather than your console.

-I don’t mind making points per kill, it makes it harder to stack points (I do that in bo3 all the time) adds more challenge and spend wisely.

-I’m not a huge fan of custom loadouts and upgrading your gun 5 times. Double PAP was fine with me. Tbh I wish they’d go back to just spawn with 1911 or put a mode where you do just spawn with a 1911 and you work your way up. More rewarding
-I loved BO3 attachment system, hopefully they stick with that
-put the 1911 in the box, that’d be sweet to get a chance to get my stang and sally back, but either way will suffice

On your spawning with a 1911 point, if you have a group of people you tend to play with that also thinks this way you guys can set a loadout with just the 1911, so it will be more like the og zombies games.

Just to add something at 3:11 On this topic, we saw a zombie fighting with an soldier or guard. This might be crazy but I think if you shoot and kill the zombie before it kills the npc guy. He will thank you and give you something, maybe a key. Or a piece of information. But i think it would go well as part of an Easter egg
thing is what we want is so simple yet they manage to screw it up everytime. The best zombies were Bo1, 2 and 3. We loved kino der toten, origins, mob of the dead, transit...... We liked it when it was simple. No armor, or weapon mods. You had pack a punch and thats it with the perks. Wonder weapons are nice when they are not from the box and you actually have to build it for the main easter egg. Like the staffs or bows.
I dont think the current Treyarch understand the term "if an't broke don't fix it" literally.
But some of these systems (like single player saves) were a long time requests from a decade ago.

I will always enjoy Zombies, the serious hang up for me is Online Only. I hate that. Everyone's time is worth something. The fact that every bit of my progress on a game can go up in smoke because of servers not being avaliable will never be ok.
I really doubt it’ll happen but I’d love to earn mastery camos for wonder weapons. Like if I could put the Dark Aether camo on the ray gun, that would be so cool
Its a shame they don’t just stick to what made zombies popular in the first place. Everything has been simplified and the zombies audience clearly wants things to go back to their roots and nobody listens.

I was plqying BO3 yesterday. That system is the best by far. Best maps, story, systems, weapons, all that. Buuut times have changed we gotta deal with it! BO6 it is!!
I’m glad you have to spend a lot of points to get the high level armor! It makes the game more challenging which was the biggest problem with Cold War to me! The armor and automatic plating also made it super easy and casual to reach high rounds!
Things that need fixing:
point system - needs to be reverted to old system
salvage & scorestreaks - just remove these from the game
loadout system - should be limited to only starting with a secondary of your choice
Things I hope they fix:
Hud - UI needs a rework, minimap needs to go
zombie elites & wonder weapon - are generic & forgettable
I feel like the loadout system could stay if they made it so that you cannot upgrade that gun in any way shape or form WHATSOEVER, forcing you to use literally anything else

Gonna have a ton of fun with it no matter what. I don’t expect the new games to be like the old games, nor feel like the old games. It will be interesting to see how the gobblegums will be (balanced or not) and what elements will become upgradable, maybe like Cold War with the field upgrades, perks, guns, etc.

I am on the same boat as everyone else. It should be more like BO3 zombies. Less like cold war. Rather than the other way around. No salvage, no armor plates, etc. That stuff is just unnecessary in a zombies mode. I feel like everyone in the zombies community has always pointed towards BO3 as the pinnacle of zombies gameplay, and I don't get why going back and expanding on what made it great is such a sore spot for treyarch (atleast, that is what it seems like).
BO3 just had a perfect balance between cinematic and arcade gameplay, like absolutely perfect, and it now feels more arcade-y. It really is a shame. I am excited to see what happens with BO6 zombies, but I really really wish the cold war features were not in the game. If they weren't, I think this would be fantastic.

I’ve been pointing out the flaws in zombies prior to BO4’s release and my old friends in highschool laughed at me and called me crazy. Look at where we’re at now. Who had the final laugh?
As much as BO3 is an incredible zombies mode, it ultimately led to what we have today because even in BO3 they strayed away from the pure survival aspect of zombies that made WAW and BO1 so special.
ARMOR, being expensive is a good thing. The game should NOT be easy. It should be challenging!
