- Euro NCAP Frontal Impact takes place at 64 Km/h, 40% of the width of the car striking a deformable barrier. In the Full Width test, 100% of the width of the car the car impact a rigid barrier at 50 Km/h. In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h. In the pole test, the car tested is propelled sideways at 32 km/h into a rigid pole.

+JN DNT I would class the V40 as a small car, it's only about 40cm longer and its security system is way ahead.

If you look at the offset frontal crash, the vehicle's curtain airbag doesn't cover the entire window. So, if the vehicle is struck in the corner, it may not protect its occupants.
It's a great car since having ACE body structure and keeping international safety standards

Fun fact - In December I had a big collision while driving this car (other driver's fault, he drove into me at about 60-70kmh). Although the front was totally crashed, none of the windows were broken or even damaged. How surprising is that??

+Rafael they have already reviewed the star rating once, no doubt they they will review again requiring more and more. The main reason everything is getting such good scores is, manufacturers have poured millions into safety knowing full well a family is not going to buy a car that isn't as safe as it can be. Take this little jazz for example, the passenger cell is extremely strong, and although you might be a bit bruised, everyone would have survived these accidents. Try doing these tests to cars from the 90's or earlier, they would be destroyed along with the people inside. That pole side impact is especially brutal
Without that side airbag you'd definitely be dead in the pole crash.

+cola coco 欧洲还有AEB...但大陆基本上全线配备雾灯，而欧洲低价款一般都没有雾灯
CHL41993 大陆手动挡和818款的自动挡也没有雾灯！
歐洲版和日本版差不多，香港的是日本版的。

国内版的二飞除了最低配都是四轮盘刹，但销量很惨淡，所以三飞干脆减配了

als test-Fahrer für verschiedene deutsche Hersteller, kann ich mit Sicherheit die sagen dass "AEB" system meistens nicht funktionieren zu 100%...egal ob Honda, Audi, BMW, Porsche oder VW oder auch andere marken...solche Systeme sind einfach nie perfekt..
Every car cant keep you safe even it is 5 star rated example why danish zehen died bcoz of the weight of the car
