I never get tired of watching this classic fight. I hope there'll be a rematch.
A prime petrosyan is a scary opponent for anyone no matter how good or highly ranked any contender is, the fact that superbon was able to take him out with the same combo was pretty slick
The set up with the two body kicks was beautiful.
To Petrosyans credit he was blocking that baseball bat of a roundhouse for the entire fight. Superbon has ridiculous fight IQ and did well doubling up on it.

Superbon is the star of the moment and Petrosyan the great champion who is perhaps no longer at his peak .... Now I want to see what happens with Marat Grigorian in this rematch. I would like to understand how many progresses the champion has made since the last time.
If Superbon just neutralizes Marat's arm by kicking it repeatedly like Yodsanklai did, he might win. But who knows? 🤷♂️

Superbon's right mid to high kick was (obviously) there all night and was landing consistently until eventually catching and knocking Petrosyan completely out cold.
The doctor of kick boxing whom many considered as "God" just went to sleep early without dinner with a broken jaw. No one would think any fighter could do this to this God. LOL 🤣

I am a die hard Giorgio Petrosyan fan (big fan of Superbon as well), and I'll gladly admit that this was NOT luck. Petrosyan is the probably the best technician in the sport, so for Superbon to catch him slipping and throw that kick was pure observation and skill.

There's Namsaknoi Yudthagarngamtorn , Jaroenthong Kiatbanchong , Dieselnoi Chor Thanasukarn , Sorawut Lukbanyai , Ajarn Gae , Kaolan Kaowichit , Tapaokaew and Shadow.
Superbon is in arguably the best gym in Thailand or one of the best at least.

There was something clearly off with Petrosyan the entire time right from walk out and during the fight maybe due to a injury or some health issue or probably a bad weight cut, not to take away any credit or anything from the phenomenal Superbon as he performed like a champion that he is but it was more or so about Petrosyan's and how he came into the fight as he wasn't The Doctor that night , something was clearly bothering him from the get go as GP wasn't even putting up a fight which is wierd because The G Petrosyan can without any doubt put up a great and tough fight against any kickboxer on the face of this Planet Earth and give them a run for their money but that day you could see Petrosyan's Alter the Great and dangerous The Killer Doctor never showed up to this fight alongside him due to whatever reason and if he wasn't at his top game he should have never fought that day as going up against a dangerous opponent like Superbon without being at his best game was a bad idea and ended up in a bad way.

I’ve been watching Giorgio for a little bit and I’m definitely no where as skilled a fighter as him, but as someone coming from a boxing background is it weird that Giorgio puts his feet so close together when he moves? Does he do that to set something up like intrinsically apart of his style or is it bad habits?

Petrosian avoided Superbon Banchameck and Sittichai Sitsongpeenong since 2015 .
He avoided Yodsanklai Fairtex since 2008 .
He is a cherry pick who wanted fight fight Yodwicha who is a clinch fighter with no elite kickboxing skills and not top tier Kickboxing fight under his belt at the time .
He cherry picked Sorgraw Petchyindee Academy ,
Jo Nattuwot 2X and Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy 2X all of those have 0 Kickboxing fight ( except Petchmorakot who has 1 against the average Kenta Yamada ) .
Sorgraw , Jo and Petchmorakot are green under Kickboxing rules .
Still Petrosian lost in the first Petchmorakot fight .
Petrosian postponed the Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee fight effectively rendering the bout pretty irrelevant .
Petrosian was scheduled to fight Narupol Fairtex in Muay Thai rules in Italy .
When Narupol flew over to Italy everything was normal but then 1 minute before the fight started they changed to Kickboxing rules effectively baiting Narupol .
Petrosian fought Fabio Pinca who has like 0 Kickboxing fight prior and Petrosian refused the rematch in Muay Thai rules ( despite Fabio being naturally smaller than Petrosian ) .
Petrosian promised to fight Kem Sitsongpeenong twice .
First in Kickboxing and second in Muay Thai .
Petrosian beat Kem in the Kickboxing fight and then refused the Muay Thai rematch despite promising it .
Petrosian lost to Thawenlek in Italy under Muay Thai rules but they gave Petrosian the win .
Petrosian fought Nonthanan Por Pramuk at Lumpini stadium and badly lost .
Petrosian blamed the water and said they poisoned him .
Petrosian fought Thailand Pinsinchai in Italy and badly lost but the corrupt judges gave it a draw .
Petrosian fought Buakaw Por Pramuk in Sweden under Muay Thai rules but changed last minute to no elbow ( so basically Kickboxing rules ) in order to help Petrosian .
Petrosian got a generous draw bit really he lost in any scoring system you want whether Muay Thai or Kickboxing scoring system .
Still Petrosian said they robbed him of a victory .
Petrosian generously got a win over Mike Zambidis in K-1 where he got knocked down but the ref simply called it a slip .
Petrosian fought Andy Ristie at GLORY and got KOed and so Petrosian blamed the hand and said it was a fluke .
Petrosian lost to 1-0 kickboxer with a clinch/elbow style ( a paradox ) named Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy but Petrosian said he was robbed .
I'm so glad that Petrosian got his jaw broken by Superbon .
He deserve it .
I hope Petrosian fight Sittichai Sitsongpeenong next then Nong-O Gaiyanghadao and then a triology fight with Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy .

First time I saw Giorgio fight was the Glory tournament where he was knocked out. That was the first time I saw kickboxing actually. I've always had the opinion that he's been ducking tougher fights since he ran from Glory after that KO. He might never want to face Superbon again after this.
I saw his fight with Buakaw. It was close but Buakaw deserved a win

@@fern6498 they change their last names to represent whatever they want. They can represent the gyms that train at or the sponsors of their gyms, etc. superbon was representing the banchamek gym before even though he didn’t train there anymore, but he did it anyway since he’s close friend of buakaw. It’s up to the fighters what their last name is going to be.
