But after 2013, when smartphones became widespread in my country, things went downhill fast. Now it's really tragic to see how lifeless my generation is. I always say it and I'll say it again, I am jealous of every single person who lived their teens and early adulthood in the 80s. Screw today's culture.

You and me both. I took our awesome decade for freakin granted. IF I only knew. And I'd totally go back in a second. Everything fell apart after 92. You're not alone Melissa.
The first time I heard about Dokken was 2003. Honestly, never heard of them before. My back then girlfriend (now my beloved wife) sent me a cd of theirs from the US to Ukraine. From that moment on it has been my favorite band and the entire cd full of hits that i like listening to. This song is one of them, and it brought us together and forever. Thank you Don Dokken for such a great music !!!! Keep on rocking !!!!
Jason Jobb absolutely correct. Jeff Pilson has always been one of the most underrated musicians in heavy rock. That bright rattly tone he got is really the heart and soul of the Dokken sound. Notice: they could do well live without George, without Mick, hell even without DON! But I saw them once without Jeff -- even though they had Barry Sparks from Yngwie's band on bass, and he is no slouch -- and it just wasn't the same. Jeff's tone, his stellar backing vocals, the keyboards, and his inimitable stage presence were sorely missed. That was by far the worst of the many times I've seen Dokken. Viva Jeff Pilson! The secret weapon.
Moments of brilliance hit this band so many times. “Alone Again” was one of those moments where they had an epic song that no other band in the 80’s could touch. Dokken could evoke just about any human emotion in one of their albums. Magic like this just doesn’t exist anymore.
As someone born in '95. I'm an old soul. Raised on this music and way of life. The 80's is by far the best year for music and I am confident that nothing will ever touch this. Not in a million years. Back when people cared about their product rather than just what people thought about them. Much respect to the REAL kings of music. They definitely don't do it now like they used to.
For real music back then made way more sense and actually required talent to make. now all you need a drum machine and auto tuner and lil in front of your name and it's a instant platinum its ridiculous
I know I feel the same way when I hear the song but you know what good news I won't trade them for nothing nobody will ever take the memories when you hear a song
58 years old and this music still sounds great !!! Don was a powerhouse singer . This band was so under-rated . George could go head to head with the likes of Eddie Van Halen and other guitar greats. I get chills just listening to their energy and talent. ❤
Oou-Wee, That's a bold statement! But I agree, George Lynch was a great ax-man! 66 years old here, and I was right in the mix of the 80's Rock n Roll scene. I would go to at least 2 concerts a month. Back then the concert promoters would have 2 or 3 great groups together. I saw Dokken , Great White and Y&T one night. Boy what a Great time to be a rocker. This is my little way of saying thank you from my heart for your likes and comments on my personal and fan pages.
I and my management are saying a big thank you. Much love from me to you and your family.
We Appreciate All Of It.
It is up to us to keep it alive
Well said!!!! I graduated HS in 1981...such GREAT MEMORIES...the very few I “remember”...lol!!!! God bless✝️❤️!
80'd rock ballads ❤
I loaned my Tooth and Nail cassette to a girl named Tracy years and years ago. Of the two, I'd rather have the cassette back.
Lol thats too funny
I can relate
I understand about lending good music 🎶 to friends, & never seeing it again. 😆
lol i bet
Tracey must have quite a collection......she borrowed my def leppard album and never brought it back either !
What a time to be alive... All I needed was my friends, my bike, a place to sleep, and some 80's metal to rock out with.
and MTV when it was all about the music
This is hard rock
Don Dokken was one of the best vocalist of all time. I'm 53 and I still love this song. One of their best videos. 80s rocked

@@traceyfitzpatrick5622 Hi Tracey,hope you’re okay ?
I'm 21 and I regret that I wasn't born in 70s or 80s...
Children & Kids THIS IS HOW ITS DONE!!! No AUTOTUNE here. Just pure raw talented musicians creating beautiful music. Gee I’m so glad I grew up on 70’s/80’s music.
One of the best ballads of all time. Dokken were so amazing during their main run.
The 80's were the best MTV when they played music videos like this never again in time.
I'd like to see you in the morning light
I'd like to feel you when it comes tonight
Now I'm here and I'm all alone
Still I know how it feels
I'm alone again
Tried so hard, to make you see
But I couldn't find the words
Now the tears, they fall like rain
I'm alone again without you
Alone again without you
Alone again
such a piece of art
Went and saw loverboy in 85 and dokken opened up for them. We left after dokken played and didn’t even care to see loverboy. These guys are the real deal
One of the best power ballads I ever heard
Can you recommend some more?

@@SERGIOLOPEZ-jq3xn I was surprised that song didn't get more attention than it did.

I'm still a Dokken. fan. We're still here .. We love you as fans. Thanks
The 80's, what a time to be alive, wish I could go back...🖤🖤🖤
Jesus. And God
Melissa Torok: hmm go back very interesting, some of us never left, still here Rocking you!
You and me both. I took our awesome decade for freakin granted. IF I only knew. And I'd totally go back in a second. Everything fell apart after 92. You're not alone Melissa.
you go forward.....looking back is fine....but your future....you create that
Melissa Torok amen to that beautiful
Dang forgot how amazing Dokken was and just Metal generally and dude George Lynch, just about the best chops/tone in Metal wow!
39 years later and it's still amazing!
Blows new music out.
Blows 2023 music out.
Blows 2023 music out.
One of the best solos ever, so melodic and matches the song perfectly. George Lynch’s vibrato is second to none
Takes me back. I’m 55 and I never get tired of these great bands.
Thanks You Tube. I can listening 80'S ROCK BALLADS. ROCK NEVER DIES.👍👍👍👍

There is something depressing yet comforting about it
The 1980's the greatest decade ever for rock!
They'll argue But I Fucking AGREE
???????? Lel.
One of the greatest guitars of all time.
2024 and still listening they don't make music like anymore ❤
I'll say it now.... the bass tone is perfect for that pounding, fret rattle accents. Dokken was one of the best.
Jason Jobb jeffJeff pilson delivered some great understated bass riffs underneath lynchs guitar playing genius
Agreed. That is why Jeff is such an asset to Foreigner now.
The 1980’s were magical! You’d just have to be there to know. Enjoy the memories !
Don Dokken has such a great voice.
Funny how 80's rock is mocked, when that was when you saw most of the true talent.
We were spoiled.
how is it mocked
That's not Don singing though.
@@Sparky6string ,Then who is it?
@@citadel9611 No it was him you're right I was getting him and George Lynch mixed up.
@@Sparky6string , I was amused by your post, but I knew it was Don singing. Rock on!!
Moments of brilliance hit this band so many times. “Alone Again” was one of those moments where they had an epic song that no other band in the 80’s could touch. Dokken could evoke just about any human emotion in one of their albums. Magic like this just doesn’t exist anymore.
80,s music at its finest!!! new bands take a lesson. 80's music rocks!!!
I'm here with you!!!! Echo5romeo from Quarryville, Pa. Long live Dokken!!!
A true power Ballad...leaves me a little sad every time I hear it..

Love the words to this song! Roxk on Dokken.
Great band. Love Dokken's voice.
Yes 💯🙌 docking I seen them for the first time in Detroit and I tell you what good music like you said memories and bring us back and I love it
One of my fave Lynch solos, the way he roars into it at the break is just epic.
This song so fucking good
As someone born in '95.
Great perspective 👇🏿🤟🙌👍
Seriously I live for this it goes right to your soul it's beautiful
If I had a time machine.... all I would do is take my son back to the 80's to see the arena rock shows, that just don't exist anymore.
You don't have to go back in time. Try the new Guns N Roses stadium tour or the new Metallica with Avenged Sevenfold stadium tour.
I hear that music so awesome back then I miss it so bad .
GO TO A TSO SHOW
Club shows are better, arena shows are so impersonal, stale and expensive
Smoke a j and use your IMAGINATION to go back in time and pop in a video in the video time machine
I play this song on both my acoustic and electric guitars, sounds great and brings back memories of the 80's...
Here in 2020 wishing today’s music was half this good
what a shit show the world has become......In 1985 , all i needed was metal, a KX80 and a bagel...
For real music back then made way more sense and actually required talent to make. now all you need a drum machine and auto tuner and lil in front of your name and it's a instant platinum its ridiculous
Listen to some avenged sevenfold. A song called wicked end will do u some good.
Great song
It's out there and still being made it's just harder to find.
The song is absolutely fantastic- it comes directly from the heart.
This song brings me to tears. It’s so beautiful!
I know I feel the same way when I hear the song but you know what good news I won't trade them for nothing nobody will ever take the memories when you hear a song
Simply alsume song

The 80's was so great. I really do miss that time.
Standing around with five or six of my friends, listening to this from my boyfriend's car stereo, back in 1986. The best days ever!!
I was 17 when this song came out. Best decade of metal, music in general, ever! miss those days big time!
58 years old and this music still sounds great !!! Don was a powerhouse singer . This band was so under-rated . George could go head to head with the likes of Eddie Van Halen and other guitar greats. I get chills just listening to their energy and talent. ❤
youre a dolt
Oou-Wee, That's a bold statement! But I agree, George Lynch was a great ax-man! 66 years old here, and I was right in the mix of the 80's Rock n Roll scene. I would go to at least 2 concerts a month. Back then the concert promoters would have 2 or 3 great groups together.
I saw Dokken , Great White and Y&T one night. Boy what a Great time to be a rocker. I still have long hair and still Rockin Hard! Peace and Love
