Going up can be a problem ... wheels are "pushing" the ramp away from the truck especially if the grass is slick with dew or rain...or on loose gravel. Speaking from experience! (haha) Strap em down.
On hard ground the ramps could jump or slide when the power wheels get to the ramp. I never took a chance and always used the safty straps
Especially if you whiskey throttle it and then shoot the ramps out behind you😂

In my opinion, i would always use the straps. Whats a few minutes more? Safety first.

I have these ramps and that bow is great if your putting a tractor with a cutting deck to keep it from hanging up on the deck!

You know it's funny- I have seen a lot of people use those type of ramps and always wondered how more people haven't gotten hurt with them. I have never seen anyone use the straps with them lol

Very seldom will the ramps just slip off.
Most of the upsets are from spinning the wheels on the way up, or slamming brakes on the way down, and kicking the ramps off.
The upward curve on them is for loading lawn mowers so the deck does not catch on the way up or down.
Yeah that's one of the reasons... The other reason is that it increases the capacity by two hundred and fifty pounds

a wise man told me back on a truck drive off backing off breaks necks and backs
I just put it in neutral and line it up on the ramps and let it coast off
They look sturdy, not so good for my Honda Big Red 3-wheeler tho. I straps are a must.

Actually they make one that folds like an accordion. It's a solid ramp you can drive right up with your three wheeler
