Michigan boy here, as someone who's hunted here all of my life, I can say that they are big up here. Last season, I shot a 2 year old gobbler that weighed 21lbs. It had a 7" beard with 1" spurs.
I like hooks!!!! Sometimes I come across a tight lipped old bird that gets me tingling. Knowing he has given me the slip and other predators over the yrs I can't help but give respect. Coming up on my 36th season I look back at how far I've and the industry has changed. Its been an aewsome ride!
Awesome bird Dave,if you ever get to hunt Marylands eastern shore there are some slobs there. My daughter killed a 25 lb 11.5 inch beard 1.75 inch spurred bird when she was 16 over there.
Congrats Dave. I just decided to post my comment on this video. I’ve watched all them. What do you do with the meat and just the bird in general. You puttem in a cooler when your on rd traveling.
I know it's not uncommon for me to go 3 days without a shower even when hunting from home. Season is short but can be long, can't risk being late for something like a shower. #HitTheHotSpots

Its like opening a Christmas gift when you roll him over to find spurs like that.
My home state. Two more weeks I will be hopefully holding myself a big hooked bird as well.

Nothin like the gobble and the spurs Don’t matter to me really about measurements but that sized spur is somethin special

Ya kill possum but let coyotes walk.
Possums are much more of an issue imo.
