I’m now 70 and realised years ago that being older is cool and freeing. I’m still very boho & could care less what others think about me. I do my own thing & enjoy every day.
Yup me 2 u don't like it get out of my way. I'm catching up on everything,. I'm learning and having FUN. I've worked my whole life starting at 13 I'm now almost 73. I'm finally living whooo hoooo.

A brain that is always learning something new,never gets old,I can fix things at my 70’s that I couldn’t dream of doing in my 20’s,difficult staff .Aging is a privilege not a curse as society wants us to believe and yes with age comes this incredible freedom we treasure every day !

I’m 68 too. I think she’s trying to hard personally. Also, “cool” isn’t something you tell other people you are; it’s something other people tell you that you are.
I’m going to be 54 December 2nd, and I always get mistaken for being in my 30’s! I love her attitude, because that’s how I live my life too!

at 43, i quit my day job and am looking forward to traveling abroad for the next few years..... something most do in their 20’s but i feel like now’s my time to explore the world and enjoy life rather than waiting another 25yrs until “normal” retirement age! i don’t think i would’ve had the wherewithal to enjoy the world’s different cultures and foods when i was younger is what im trying to say i guess... older and wiser..... but not too old and still getting wiser lol

Being older is terrific. One no longer cares what others think of one. I can't go back to being 25 but after what I've lived through, and seeing the mess the average 25 year old inflicts upon each other...I wouldn't want to.

I so agree with her about not caring. I am 61 yrs. young and no I DON'T CARE what people think. That is such a waste of time and I have better things to do.

Wisdom only comes with age and life experience. Ignorance and Arrogance is something you have when you do not have life experience and instead base your decisions on assumptions.
Why don’t you ever go to people in the Midwest it’s always NY or CA. Lots of people in different places do many things. It would be way more interesting to hear about that than glamorizing it. Seriously, you’d hear some amazing stories.

It’s all absolutely true. I do things these days I would never have done back in my younger days. I’m more confident now than in my 20’s and I don’t take any crap off anyone. Embrace it people.
to me, wisdom is learning from your experiences and you have that opportunity to do that as you get older. Some people simply become more ignorant as they get older.

What I would tell myself at 20 would have changed the trajectory of my life completely: not this school, that one; no Pauls or Petes; don't move from my home state. I would have saved a lot of money, time and missed opportunities.
I agree with you, as at 20, I'd been married a year and he was wanting a divorce, so he could go meet other women now that he had experience in the bedroom. All I could think then was "what will people say?" I agree about not moving and doing for myself.
