The exhaust side can be smoothed out and polished if you wish but not a whole lot of gain.
The intake side must be rough.... if you wish to achieve more power you rough up intake even more than factory and this is to atomize the fuel before it enters the cylinder. If done properly it will make a huge difference in power and it lubricates bottom end better due to the fuel oil mixture being a mist and covering more area. Atomized fuel will burn cleaner and more consistent than liquid form fuel which you get from polishing intake. When I say rough I mean get a carbide bit and rough it up completely all the way to cylinder. You have unknowingly robbed horsepower by smoothing it out. Hope this helps and you will notice the gains emedietly
what do you use for cleaning? It looks great
Formula 88 and some blast of break cleaner.
Thanks
Is there any way you could show how the other side of the exhaust valve goes together? I took my wife’s bike in to get re sleeved and they took it apart and never put it back together. The side where the little arm comes out of the case and connects to the power valve.
I think it’s in this video.

The top end assembly video. Let me know if it’s not.
I did have some trouble with it.
@@Tony2Strokes it kind of is but was wondering if how the spring goes over the power valve shaft on that side.
Thanks for responding so quickly.
@@msoto951oh yeah, I understand what you’re looking for now…. Go to 15:50 of this video. I explain that exact part.
Good luck
How do you know how to adjust thay knob for power valve? Can you screw it in all the way then back it out? Been wondering
I didn’t find any official documentation. I did find some videos that showed: you set the cap with zero tension then turn it clockwise one full turn…., or maybe it was 180deg. I don’t remember but it’s in my video.
16 minutes mark of my video explains it

Hey bro on My YZ250 the exhaust valve some bolts are stuck, I've even rounded one off, what method do you recommend to loosen them?
Thanks
If you can’t crack it free with a pair of vise grips then try heating them with a torch and using vise grips. Then try a easy-out drill bit. Worse case, you’ll have to drill out and re-Tap. Good luck
Weld old sheared off extension to a bolt, loosen, cut it off, weld on another bolt, repeat till they are all loose
Is the 02 rm 125 powervalves and heck the clyinder the same ? Thats what mine looks like and i just hght it and title says 02
Is the 2000 power valve and cylinder the same as the 2002? I’m not sure. But you could just look up the part number and that should tell you.
On the power valve is there some range in what i can turn the knob or i just turn it backwards till i shouldn´t feel resistence in the spring? i recently bought rm125 and i found out that it isn´t in correct position :/ thanks for help
Go to my video at the 16 minute I explain the settings for the spring.
One full rotation is good.
Qual regulagem da valvula ? 1 volta?
Yes
Bro I need power valve for my 2000 rm125 where can I get one
eBay, is probably your best chance
@@Tony2Strokes brother they are too pricey 250$ for a pair
@thechosen7879 search for project/parts bikes for sale on marketplace, or you could just buy my bike for $2500🤣. Good luck
