Big thanks to everyone who watched, commented and enjoyed this vid. Its coming up to a year on now and I think it's time to do a long term review on this item I reckon, watch this space! 👍
We are living in crazy times after watching your video/review I ordered my Kelly kettle set up & thank you for this video. I think everyone should buy a Kelly kettle setup before it's too late.
I just ordered one great minds think alike I cant see the point in boiling a kettle indoors and warming a tin of soup ect and it costing money when you can do it for free in the comfort of your garden for free and enjoy the experience 😉
Nice video. The Kelly Kettle is legit kit. Been around since the 1800's. Nothing gimmicky about time tested reliable gear. You enjoy creating your content and it shows. I appreciate you.
Hello Scott, yeas your right pal. A fantastic piece of gear. It will be well used pal. Yeah I love film making mate, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you buddy, Ant 👍
Enjoyed the video and thanks for putting it together. Have had mine since the early 2000’s and love it. One risk of the Kelly Kettle is having the burn pot right on the ground. It totally chars the ground which in wet conditions is not really an issue but can be a fire hazard when dry. The pot stand that they make to use on top of the chimney also works to raise the burner off of the ground. Some carbon felt is a good addition as well. All the best, nicely done.
Hi mate, thank you very much. Oh nice, a good while then, good stuff. Yeah there definitely is that, you just got be on it haven't you and always leave no trace. Big thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I’m so glad you commented with this, I was thinking would it be possible to use the pot stand thing under the acatully burner to rise it from the ground, and it seems like you can, just ordered the Kelly kettle 🎉
I just bought a Base Camp Kelly kettle set up for our shared allotment. We normally cook and make the tea with a gas bottle propane camping stove, but the refills are getting out of this world expensive. It will be also handy at home where I have loads of off cuts, branch wood and shavings from my wood carving and whittling. Looks like an awesome piece of kit, especially now that everything is getting silly/stupid/dangerous. I like the fact that it is an old and tried and tested design also.
Hi mate, thanks for having a watch of the video. Yeah they are a great bit of kit and sounds like yours will get a load of use. I know the feeling. I will be using my proper wood burner more this winter outside cooking on it at home, it will be through the roof crazy prices to heat the oven. Thanks again and enjoy it pal 👍
I'm considering buying one of the large ones to be able to fill my hot water bottle and thermos flask at home in emergency or to save using electric. Seems quickest and cheapest way to boil water fast. Thanks for review 👍
Hello Hellen , not a bad idea, they boil on very limited supplies of sticks, they're free and everywhere you look. Thank you for watching and also for your comment. Cheers, Ant 👍
@@AntSurviveTheNight yes and I live next to a strip of woodland! No excuse eh? Going to get one with the council tax rebate! Sign of times investing in survival rather than frippery. ✌

Hi Ed, thank you mate. Yes, the knife is made by Buck, you can purchase it from the store Go Outdoors if you live in the UK. It comes with the fire striker attached to the sheath. Thanks for watch buddy. Cheers, Ant 👍
I'll probably be useing my kelly kettle base camp set after I start homeless camping I wish I iwnd a pick up truck to carry everything to different camp grounds

Hi good demo of the kelly kettle, I was interested in the bellows you were using, Looks like a bit of silicon hose with some end fittings. Any info on it or does it feature in any other video. Thanks.
Hi Wings, thank mate. Yeah the bellows I was kindly sent by Erin and John of on Lost Lakes on TH-cam. They sent it to me as I was about to start a charity canoe trip to Scotland. Very kind of them, a great channel and two lovely people. Yeah it features in a lit of my videos mate, just havexa browse though my content, either the hot tent vids or the ones with fires, youll see it in them. Thanks pal, Ant
In the US we call that a plumbers vice. 👍 I have the same Kelly setup and while a bit bulky, it always does the job. Best regards from a tiny off grid island in Maine USA

What an excellent present, I've wondered about getting one for a while, pretty sure I will soon. Another channel I follow (Lost Lakes) just uses the woodstove section on his canoe trips and swears by it. Cracking edit really well put together.
Hi Si mate, yeah it's so bloody good, they did their old man proud with this present! I would definitely recommend you get one mate if only to take it on your canoeing expeditions. I would get this size though as you'll be letting the canoe carry it 😆. Yes, their channel is exceptional, such nice people aren't they. I still need to do a proper thank you to them for sending me one of their pipe bellows for our canoe charity challenge but as always I forget to get the mentions in. You can buy the items separately too if you just wished to buy the stove. As always mate big thank you for taking the time to watch and comment 👍
Hi Gary, thanks pal. Yeah you can do it all with this kit, there is another cook kit yiu can get but the only extras you get are two cups and not worth another £20 I'd say. Thanks again pal 👍
Looking good! I must admit, for my taste it is all a bit of a gimmick, I’d prefer my trangia kettle and be done with it. But she does seem to heat up nice and fast!
Hello Richard, thanks pal. Yeah all kit isn't for everyone but for me this is a great add on to my canoe kit as you can just pull up on a bank, grab some twigs and get your lunch on in minutes. Yeah she boils real fast that's for sure buddy. Big thanks for watching and commenting 🙏
