- The world's greatest competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi goes undercover at Buffalo Wild Wings in Westbury, NY, while rocking a Divergent cap, as he pranks the New York Cosmos and midfielder Peri Marošević in what the team thinks is a 'friendly' bet involving chicken wings for a free lunch and bragging rights.

Kobi is a true Japanese man. When shit got unfair and a joke he left. That shit takes strength. All bc the company wanted him to only do competitions that were apart of the company. His contract said he couldn’t bc they wouldn’t be able to give him the belt???? Such bullshit and I’m happy he did it bc it showed that companies cannot do that to their premier athletes. And bc of that Joey chestnut is able to have a way better contract
A guy I played soccer with from elementary thru high school wrote a book on competitive eating. Kobayashi features heavily in the book. It's a pretty funny read.

The reason I ask is that I didnt see one chicken bone come ouf of their mouth or put on a plate. They put the piece in their mouth and just ate.
Maybe Kobayashi can eat chicken bones but I sort of doubt the other guy can.
For me a chicken wing has to have bones or else its a chicken tender/Mcnugget/Chicken finger/processed-bleached meat.

I checked online and the world record video shows that they take the bones out and also found out that Kobayashi's wing record of 337 wings was beaten last month by a 5ft7, 125-pound mother of four who ate 363 wings in 30 minutes.

I love to see a triple-threat match between 8-time Nathan's Hot Dog Eating champion Joey Chestnut, Jaws' heir apparent Matt Stonie and Chestnut's former rival, Takeru 'The Tsunami' Kobayashi in the same Hot Dog eating contest.
Wouldn't be a competition. Kobayashi's just on a completely different level. There was something about how Kobayashi isn't allowed to compete in Nathan's anymore, so I don't think we'll see that happen anytime soon. But there's no doubt that Kobayashi's just completely different. It took years for Chestnut to beat Kobayashi's old record. And Chestnut's a huge doucher about it too. Doesn't even recognize that Stonie is slowly rising the ranks and definitely has more potential than Chestnut.

Fact of the matter is that it took Chestnut years to even catch up to Kobayashi, and when he finally almost did, Kobayashi was kicked out of Nation's. Kobayashi is a legitimate prodigy.
