Just got one myself, for the price its great, not much more than the Gopro type copy I previously used, and requires less button pushing that can be difficult with gloves to operate. The SENA name attracted me and I am not disappointed with the build quality.
It really is a perfectly decent camera for entertainment purposes. But I wanted better resolution so I went with the Hero 8 Black. Was it a good move? Only time will tell. If you haven't watched the video comparing them, watch it next!
Looked OK to me. Your 100% correct about the K1600, I have not been able to put many miles on my bike this year due to travel restrictions both mandatory and self imposed due to the pandemic. Big tour plans when things get closer to normal and travelling is a sensible option. I expect everyone has😃
I've been using the previous version of the Prism Tube (w/o wifi) for about 4 years now on my Shoei Neotec (and this year Neotec 2). I have a 90 mile commute, and the main purpose is using it as a dashcam, a task it has performed flawlessly. I'm thinking of upgrading to the wifi version, but am slightly confused. At 12:42 you say it is a 1080p camera with less than optimal video quality, but all the specs I've read say it is 1440p. So which is it? I really like the form factor and the very straightforward operation, but really can't be bothered to upgrade just to get wifi if everything else is the same. Audio quality is irrelevant, as I don't vlog, and video needs to be just good enough to see the number plate of what crashed into me. It would of course be nice to even occasionally hear the hayabusa engine sound over the wind noise, but as noted, not important at all to me, so I haven't even connected the external mic to my current setup. One note about the camera I use, it is supposedly only water resistant. Well, I've used it in torrential rain for 100's of miles without issue, so it has been water proof. There may be different versions, but regardless for my application there just wasn't enough resolution and stabilization. Sounds like it might be perfect for what you need though. I did enjoy the ease of use - just didn't suit my needs. Finland is on my bucket list! Hope to see you there sometime. :)

Hi . Great review. I have had this cam for a few years and I really like it apart from a problem that has been getting worse. The cam will very rarely record the correct date. It nearly always records 01/01/2011 No idea where it gets this date from. Do you have any ideas how to correct this. Thanks.!
Found this older version of the camera (non wifi 1080p @30fps) on sale for 69 euros, and gonna give it a try. At that prise i think it should be value for the money and see if motovlogging is for me or not 🤷🏼♂️
I have a GoPro and a prism tube camera. I like the prism tube better. It’s smaller, it is easier to operate. It is idiot proof. It’s either on or it’s off.. my camera mounting bracket on my helmet actually fell off my helmet at 45 miles an hour on an asphalt road. It went bouncing down the road. My buddy behind me said he saw something rolling down the road and bouncing in the air. he stopped and picked it up. It has a little bit of road rash on the end cap that screws off. But that’s it. It still works..

my Sena prism Helmet camera does not record sound. It only records video whether I use the external microphone or not. I do hear the voice through the external speaker in my helmet when the camera is turned on and turned off I hear that message. I searched through the settings, I did the download to update the camera, still no sound on the recordings.. I contacted technical support department of the SENA company. It never did since new. I asked if there is a setting that I need to change in settings to record sound. I explained that it does not record sound with or without the external microphone days later I got a response from someone named Chris. So sorry you had that kind of trouble. I've had similar issues with my Sena 20S headset. Definitely not impressed. GoPro has been great, even with my Karma Drone that has been out of production for years now. Enjoy the better image quality. I have a video of the difference between the two. It's pretty striking!

Wifi version is 2k resolution @30fps or 1080p @60fps. Older version is just 1080p with 30fps.

You don't go into video compression, artifacting, or file sizes at all. That's what I'm most interested in.

how is the quality holding up for the past year or so.
I haven't used it since I got the GoPro Hero 8 used on ebay. Just not enough resolution for the channel unfortunately.
Does sena prism have any rear view camera option which can b fitted on helmet?
I'm not aware of any rear camera option. You could easily just spin it around tho!
Would the sena mounting support stand speed +180kmhr? Or is there speed limit to prevent to fly away from the helmet?
