Was so excited to try Summer Fridays after mos. of research but developed a terrible rash I keep hearing some people get from it, which included what looks like a burn all over my face & a welt under my eye. I don’t have sensitive skin and I’ve never had a reaction to any product; I’ve never even had irritation from Tretinoin so go figure! 🤷♀️Now I’m looking for a dupe for it because I don’t care for tinted sunscreen & I won’t use anything that leaves a white cast. 😢 Was going to try the closest one you suggested by Dr Gross (whose products i love) but some reviewers said product felt sticky/tacky, burned their eyes & clogged pores as well as leaving some white cast. Sigh. 🤦♀️If you find a Summer Fridays dupe, PLEASE let me know? I’m so bummed I’m allergic to something in it. Thanks so much, beauty!
Thank you for showing this great assortment of sunscreens! I just picked up the Colorescience Flex in medium, so I’m looking forward to seeing how it works out as my “foundation”. I recently purchased the new Colorscience No-Show non-tinted and I’m really enjoying that one for when I want to wear my foundation and have a perfect color match. I have light skin and no visible caste. It is great because it is water-resistant and SPF 50 like the tinted version. I am also a fan of their brush-on sunscreen. Thanks again for the great info!
I can tolerate chemical sunscreen on my face but it stings my eyes, so once I use up my stash, I will not re-buy chemical. I get rashes on my chest which worsens with chemical sunscreen, and my dermatologist suggested using only mineral sunscreen once it healed up. I also really like the Neutrogena tinted and rarely use foundation. Look forward to trying some others you suggested. Thanks!
Idk if you've tried the Naked Sundays Mineral SPF50 yet, but I just got it this week and really love it. It came with a free application brush. I have never tried using a brush to help apply a mineral spf but this is FANTASTIC. It's lightly tinted too so it looks invisible on my fair skin! 💯 I tried the Drmtlgy Daydream but it really leaves a slight cast on my face skin and leaves my dry skin even drier by the end of the day.
Pump style packages are the easiest to measure out the proper amount. You count how many pumps fills a 1/4 tsp, then just do that many pumps. Measuring out by finger lengths was always a shortcut estimate for when you didn't have a 1/4 tsp and had a squeezy tube.
You don't have to measure out the two finger lengths with the pump dispenser. Just measure ¼ teaspoon the first time you're using it, and remember how many pumps it takes.
Chemical and hybrid sunscreens give me a rash and I don’t t use tretenoin Not sure why mine started either. But mineral sunscreen has come a long way Want to try the Neutrogena and Eucerin one soon. I do like the bliss sunscreen I pick up when I’m in the states Have a great day from BC 🇨🇦😀
I love the summer Fridays sunscreen but if they came out with with a tinted version that was SPF 50 then I'd definitely try it. I still use the Australian gold tinted sunscreen, I've used this one for yrs
I use CeraVe Tinted Sunscreen and like it pretty well. I'm new to wearing sunscreen on a regular basis having just restarted tretinoin a year ago. Usually I only wear it on days I will be getting more than five minutes of direct sunlight per day. I take my daily walk at dusk to avoid wearing it most days.
Please help Ash! Every facial sunscreen I buy seems to pill and peel off my face. I have tried too many and wasted so much money. I use The Ordinary in the am. Wash, Hyaluronic Acid 2%, vitamin C serum and then Resveratrol 3% with Ferulic Acid 3% and then moisturizer. (Morning skin care routine) I have tried; Summer Fridays, Elta MD, Paula’s Choice, Drmtlgy, etc. All of these facial sunscreens pill and I cannot apply my makeup. Help??!
Hmmmm...... Have you tried eliminating the Hyaluronic Acid from your routine to see if it helps? I find HA can pill with a lot skincare products including moisturizer and sunscreens. If it continues to pill then try to remove the Resverarol + Ferulic and see if it helps. If not, try using a different moisturizer (something not too heavy/thick). Unfortunately, it's trial and error and a lot of pilling can be due to the other products in our skincare routine. Certain textures don't layer up great with other textures. Exfoliating on a regular basis is important as well as this can also cause pilling but it's most likely the products you are using not the sunscreens considering how many you have tried.
What can I replace the HA with. I have anti aging skin that is very dry. I can’t go without moisturizing. I am also very fair, so I need sunscreen. What Ordinary serums do you recommend then?
The Marine Hyaluronics would be a great option as it's similar to HA (plumping/hydrating) but thinner/lightweight with a watery texture. The Amino Acids + B5 is a great hydrator but it also repairs the skin as well. I use this twice a day.
Bad suggestions. Higher SPF is better and you recommended quite a few 30SPF. And where are the affordable, over the counter options! How about recommending things I can buy at Walmart or CVS? 👎🏻
Are their any Canadian sunscreens? My current favorite I’m loving is the haraharu wonder black rice moisture airyfit daily sunscreen it’s the best one so far of all the ones I’ve tried it has the perfect finish looks just like my skin doesn’t pill not shiny I can re-apply all day no issues and it’s actually pretty sweat proof … also LOVE Skin 1004 Hyaluronic-Cica water fit sun serum it’s just a touch more dewy natural enough tho very moisturizing I use both to finish off my morning serums like a moisturizer BOJ was kinda too shiny for me lol so far I’ve got 5 more to test out from Stylevana this week! Minerals just dry me out too bad I can feel them just sucking the life out of me but I Loved the Daydream from Drmtlgy just too much zinc 🤍💚🖤🤍💚🖤🤍💚🖤🤍💚🖤🌸🌺🌿🪴🍀🍀🍀🍓🍓🍓🐞🐞🐞

You’ve become one of my very favorite channels to watch. So glad I found you. ❤
Aw thank you so much!! I am so glad you found my channel as well🥰💗

No I have never tried that brand before but good to know that you are enjoying it. I will have to check it out👍🏻
That is too bad about the Daydream..
Vanicream moisturizer with spf and on top Australian gold. Love this combination!!
I wear the summer Fridays sunscreen under Australian gold and it's absolutely fantastic!

Great video! Did you see that colorscience dropped a new no-show mineral sunscreen? It’s fantastic!
Omg yes I did! Of course now I want to try it now lol
So happy to hear it's amazing 👍🏻
I looove the colorsciense flex. Recently, I bought the new mineral sunscreen from First Aid Beauty and it is so nice.
I just received the First Aid Beauty one and I can't wait to try it!
Thanks for sharing! 💞
Thanks beautiful 🙏🏻 love the dewy complexion.. lots of great new options to try

Interesting!!! I am glad I am not the only one... Hope you have a great weekend 💗
Australian Gold tinted is my ride or die
Great reviews, thanks
I love the summer Fridays sunscreen but if they came out with with a tinted version that was SPF 50 then I'd definitely try it. I still use the Australian gold tinted sunscreen, I've used this one for yrs
OMG! I would be so interested in a tinted option with a higher SPF and something that is also water resistant. Hopefully one day🤞🏻
@Sincerely Miss Ash I've got my fingers crossed 🤞
Could you please review Colorscience untainted mineral sunscreen? thank you.
I use CeraVe Tinted Sunscreen and like it pretty well. I'm new to wearing sunscreen on a regular basis having just restarted tretinoin a year ago. Its so Interesting that the Ilia Skin tint is ranked an spf 40 in the US but can only be called spf 30 in Europe… Does anyone know why that is?
What body mineral tanning sunscreen spray you recommend?
Loved this video 😊 ❤ xx
What is best sunscreen for face let me know 🎉 😊 xx
Thank you for tell me xx
These are all great options so I consider these all the best. It just depends on what you are looking for in terms of finish, tinted/non tinted.
All great recommendation! I'm loving the Dr. Dennis Gross All Physical Wrinkle Defense SPF 30. ❤
Isn't it good? I love the texture/finish!
Please help Ash! Every facial sunscreen I buy seems to pill and peel off my face. I have tried too many and wasted so much money.

Also, try even eliminating your moisturizer and use your SPF in replacement. You may notice this will correct the pilling issue as well.

My apologies for spelling pilling wrong! Lol. 🤦🏼♀️

The Ilia sunscreen has a slight odor that I am not fond of.
Thank you! Can you also test/review Naked Sundays
I will look into😉
Thank you for sharing! Love sunscreen videos! ☀️
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video 🥰
Thank you for the coupon they really save me money.😊20% Great I love it.
You're welcome 🥰
Both my dry skinned friend & myself (oily-combo) *hate* Ilia. After 6 hrs it pills & cakes. Yuk!
The colorescience flex shade in fair is too warm toned for my fair skin. I wish they would make more neutral shades 😞
More shades/undertones would be nice! I have a warm undertone so it works great for me but a lot of tinted options don't work on my skin tone.
Why you didn't mention, in this video, the one that you like from the Ordinary?
I don't like The Ordinary Sunscreen as it's thick and leaves a distinct white cast!
Bad suggestions. Higher SPF is better and you recommended quite a few 30SPF. And where are the affordable, over the counter options! How about recommending things I can buy at Walmart or CVS? 👎🏻
