    I just signed up for the Udacity and Amazon machine learning nano-degree scholarship, and before starting the actual course we will be going through an Introductory course for 3 months and best 425 people will be selected for the nano-degree. Hopefully I'll be able to fight for my spot and btw your video was spot on and even helped me relax . Subscribed ✌

But my understanding is that this review is referring to the second module (core ML engineering nanodegree) , that we will be doing if you pass the first ML Foundations module. I do agree that you need to be comfortable with Python and working with data sets.

    I 've done some udacity nanodegrees and this is my conclusion: there is no udacity nanodegree that worth it. its basically a scam. Go for coursera and udemy and u ll find great courses.

      Guess we had different experiences. To get the above mentioned projects and deploying them on AWS is to me a very practical and useful. Have done some coursera and udemy as well, so far enjoyed this one a lot with the actual humans grading and giving feedback on it, which I missed in coursera and udemy.

      Hi, pardon the late reply. Can't speak for the ML Engineer for Azure as I haven't taken that course. The only thing I can say is that I enjoy AWS and would therefore pick this course over Azure if I had to pick again.

      As you want to know Azure ML then you have to learn about data processing, ML algo, performance metrics, hyperparameters and then packages like sklearn, numpy, pandas, seaborn once done then go into Microsoft learn to know about their packages which they frequently use those are nothing but modules for their purpose.

    • @Olle_Green
      @Olle_Green  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, to be honest: it requires that you can read and understand python code. Therefore, my recommendation would be:
      1. Do a basics of python course or watch tutorials here on youtube about basic syntax.
      2. Learn about algorithms and data structures (youtube or some random course)
      3. Understand the basics of a machine learning workflow: A) Data cleaning and preprocessing B) Data exploration C) Model building D) Deployment
      3.1 Test the A-D steps on a kaggle.com dataset to verify you get it
      4. Start this course
      Hope that helps, otherwise: let me know 👍
      Cheers.

    • @Olle_Green

      A lot of code for the first projects was given, and you just had to fill in parts of it. So nothing complex other than the data science parts and building the models.

    what is the first optional course about? can someone elaborate?

    • @Olle_Green
      @Olle_Green  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Think of it as an optional refresher on coding basics. The output you get from that course is to upload your own API onto PyPi, and being able to use it from any coding project. Pretty cool stuff and if you don't know it, it becomes a pretty cool concept to get your head around. But, it isn't necessary to complete the rest of the course.

    Udacity courses are just overblow for me, nothing concrete. I don't like to learn the whole library, give me something small and practical to start from, if I like to continue and learn from on that foundation.

    • @Olle_Green
      @Olle_Green  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree. It's however not doable for these courses that has manual checking from humans when grading, too time inefficient.
      The practical approach you're mentioning is probably more in alignment of "learning by doing" where you'll get an awesome github profile if you publish your small practical projects. Send it here in the comments when you feel like you got something you want to show off to the community 👍
