Mmy mantine was capped in hoenn after 8th badge and whenever I'd farm, any surviving tentacruel had excellent Hp or Sp.Def. More encounters, less balls used. I'm sure the real math nerds could make better use of this information than I can, but the potential is there.

i use drudigon instead of ramp and just use eq rock slid. works completely fine just chance of missing as always

Usually around the same if you breed the nature on it. If you randomly roll the nature along the way breeding can be way cheaper
