Cut off a finger or be banished, killed, or worse. Usually the mistakes are being too greedy or overstepping the decision of your leader. Something that is not a matter of trust, but is an unaccepted mistake either way :P

First we get a close up of his tires that are drag slicks, then we watch him not able to corner so even though it's cringe af, we're supposed to make the assumption that he is a fairly experienced racer, just that he's only ever raced a quarter mile at a time and in a straight line.
Haha guys, its funny watching this one back with you guys, as its one of my favs of the franchise, but now watching it back with you guys and seeing and hearing both of your perspectives it really highlights all the weakness's I may have felt when it first came out as it wasn't my fav originally in part because of the cast change, but you guys point out so many details not related to what I'm experiencing as I'm a car guy especially JDMs since that's what I grew up with, rally, off road and racing is in my blood and JDMs were our culture and I happen to love Japanese culture. Llove hearing that from both of you too again esp since Kristen spent time there. Also I wanna hear more about Kristen's truck, that has got me intrigued! We know Jabby has a Type R which is sick, love the latest model. Maybe you guys should do an in house FnF segment and have everyone introduce and show there cars, even the Prius 🤣I'd love to see that, maybe mods you'd do if you could would, doesn't have to be long, but be kinda cool. I have always believed animals and cars and friends tell allot about people (family ya can't choose) but those 3 say allot about a person! Anyways sick watching this with you guys, di you guys skip 3? Others may have said, but the timeline for FnF is not as it shows per when they were released, it can mess with ya head, but it makes sense in the end. I have ended up watching everything after 7, the Rock sorta killed it for me a bit TBH, really they went mainstream instead of following car culture. Craig Lieberman was the main OG car technical advisor, if interested he actually gives allot of detail about the cars and sometimes the actors as well, as usual they don't often follow the experts knowledge as Hollywood execs are wanting to suck in the non car people with shiny objects, but history has still prevailed with the genre, probably more down to the characters than the story lines and the cars (later unfortunately) 8,9,10 especially 10 is off off course just struggle with it, but then its not my gen, still eventually watched these. Anyways keep on the journey, highly recommend if ya haven't check out the short version edit for "2 Fast 2 Furious Turbo Charged Prelude" Search that in TH-cam, its sick. Cheers awesome team, you rock ❣🤘

I love Tokyo drift....my favorite of the first 4. My only 2 issues with this franchise.....one I won't say because it'll spoil.... something. But the 2nd....we have an enemy. We "beat down" that enemy. We have a new ally. Every friggin movie.
fun fact about brian tee AKA Takashi A year prior to this he was a sushi chef for Zoey 101 and then a year later he became a street racer kind of an inspiring story a sushi chef to Drift King.
I lived in Louisiana in 5th grade around 2004 in a not so great area. We had to wear the most minimal uniform that was just khakis and red, white, or blue polo and we also had metal detectors and police officers. It was really weird going from the suburbs to the hood, I learned a lot about awareness and how to deal with people, mainly by getting my a*s kicked by 4-5 people whenever I crossed a line.
i loved tokyo drift, it's my favorite out of all the Fast movies. lucas black is a decent actor but i feel like he was miscast in this movie, the man definitely didn't look like a high schooler as they were attempting to portray that haha. the change i would have made would be to actually have a japanese american kid in his place that ended up having to go back to japan to maybe stay with his grandparents or whatever - i was in high school when this movie came out and cars were definitely a huge thing in the asian community all over the US and i feel like it would have greatly benefit from having that perspective tied into someone going back to their home country and discover a huge piece of their culture in that way. i also feel like the "gaijin" term would have a great impact on an american-japanese kid in a deeper sense because that also truly exist in real life feeling like an outsider/foreigner who is not truly japanese born trying to fit in. there are many asian american kids out there who have kind of lost a connection with their roots because either they didn't grow up learning their parent's native tongue because parents wanted them to assimilate as a americans or some asian american kids have sometimes developed an internal racism towards themselves and refused to learn. but yeah, that's what i have always thought as a kid, but have always loved this movie! thanks for the reaction!
Havent seen all of them but I personally thought this was actually the best film its cool they eventually brought them into the main series because I know most used to think of this as there's headed stepchild at the time
You know what makes this phrase really cool is the mountain that he's actually driving on is the real DK mountain and the guy you see fishing in the beginning.Who says that kid can drift for shit or you called that drifting? That was the real DK.He was the one that invented drifting. This movie is really fun❤❤🎉🎉🎉
29:04 i dunno if somebody already mentioned this but this scene wasn't permitted by the authorities and they needed to hire someone to take the blame instead of the actual director so they could finish the movie.
I’m a fan of all the Fast movies but I find it best to go into them with low expectations so I’m not disappointed and turn of your brain. They have to try and top each movie with bigger action.
46:43 'Tokyo Drift' is one of those sequels that wasn't well received when it initially came out. But TBS and TNT constantly airing it in the late 2000's and early 2010's is what made this a minor fan favorite with 'The Fast And The Furious' fans. Plus also how this movie plays into later sequels is another reason.
I was wondering when or even if you two were gonna continue with this franchise. I'm glad to see you're still doing it. I hope the timeframe between each reaction is much shorter from here on out, though.
8/10 Really good film. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift is the least popular of the Fast and Furious franchise but it's also the most underrated. While I thought the country accent was a little overblown and some of the cgi looked a little too obvious, the movie was really good. The plot is fresh and exciting, the acting is spot on, and the cars are great. That's honestly one of my only gripes with 2 Fast 2 Furious is that, while really entertaining, it got away from the car element quite a bit. This movie brought back the cool car factor that made the first film so special. Overall, while it wasn't as good as the first two, it was still a great movie in its own right and one that can stand alone without the others.
Just in case it went over your heads.....AE"86 Corolla" and 19"72 Skyline" are both Legendary Classics! AE86 was heavily popularized by a Anime called Initial D! But was also really popular in the Drift scene. Both these two cars are cars used by Drift King and the Father of Drifting AKA- Kuni-san and Keiichi Tsuchiya AKA- THE DK! Who was inspired by Kuni-san! DK Tsuchiya is in this movie Fishing!
Han is definitely the best character in this movie. This is kind of like the odd duckling of the franchise. In the sense that it was the most standalone film. you really do not need to watch any other film to understand what is going on. It also is probably the only movie in the franchise that is really primarily about street racing. Almost all the other movies have to do with the FBI or Drug Cartels. This from start to finish is about racing.
Did you guys know that Kristen used to live in Japan? If not, dont worry about it, she will keep reminding you, take a shot every time and you have deadly alcohol poisoning guaranteed drinking game.

Craig Lieberman was the main OG car technical advisor, if interested he actually gives allot of detail about the cars and sometimes the actors as well, as usual they don't often follow the experts knowledge as Hollywood execs are wanting to suck in the non car people with shiny objects, but history has still prevailed with the genre, probably more down to the characters than the story lines and the cars (later unfortunately)
8,9,10 especially 10 is off off course just struggle with it, but then its not my gen, still eventually watched these.
Anyways keep on the journey, highly recommend if ya haven't check out the short version edit for "2 Fast 2 Furious Turbo Charged Prelude"
Search that in TH-cam, its sick.
Cheers awesome team, you rock ❣🤘
I love how Sabraw cringes at the women of this film but if you goggle Sabraw, you will see endless 304/thot pics all over the internet. So trust me, she is no different than the characters of this film.
The women with the black hair is so annoying in this reaction😑
Yeeeees
cuz she is a fmeinist
Tokyo drift take place between 6 and 7 . The OG cast comes back in 4 . If this movie not your cup of tea lol hope you keep watching .
spoiling much?
@andrew348 don't be a idiot .
You don't know what you talking about .
Tell your momma hi for me
@@andrew348fr bro
I love Tokyo drift....my favorite of the first 4. My only 2 issues with this franchise.....one I won't say because it'll spoil.... something. But the 2nd....we have an enemy. We "beat down" that enemy. We have a new ally. Every friggin movie.
Defeating enemies and growing the family is what the Fast franchise is all about after 3.
@@LordVolkovtrue but it's gotten ridiculous.
fun fact about brian tee AKA Takashi A year prior to this he was a sushi chef for Zoey 101 and then a year later he became a street racer kind of an inspiring story a sushi chef to Drift King.
30:06 'The Fast And The Furious' timeline and fates of characters gets...interesting after this movie. Just keep watching.
i loved tokyo drift, it's my favorite out of all the Fast movies. lucas black is a decent actor but i feel like he was miscast in this movie, the man definitely didn't look like a high schooler as they were attempting to portray that haha. the change i would have made would be to actually have a japanese american kid in his place that ended up having to go back to japan to maybe stay with his grandparents or whatever - i was in high school when this movie came out and cars were definitely a huge thing in the asian community all over the US and i feel like it would have greatly benefit from having that perspective tied into someone going back to their home country and discover a huge piece of their culture in that way. i also feel like the "gaijin" term would have a great impact on an american-japanese kid in a deeper sense because that also truly exist in real life feeling like an outsider/foreigner who is not truly japanese born trying to fit in. there are many asian american kids out there who have kind of lost a connection with their roots because either they didn't grow up learning their parent's native tongue because parents wanted them to assimilate as a americans or some asian american kids have sometimes developed an internal racism towards themselves and refused to learn. but yeah, that's what i have always thought as a kid, but have always loved this movie! thanks for the reaction!
Han didnt have a reason to be mad about his car, this movie is based AFTER the fast five events. Han and the crew were filthy rich after the heist :)
This is by far my favourite F&F movie!
29:04 i dunno if somebody already mentioned this but this scene wasn't permitted by the authorities and they needed to hire someone to take the blame instead of the actual director so they could finish the movie.
29:10 I love that shot. On the dvd behind the scenes features, they show how they did that shot. The cameraman was on roller blades.
thank you Kristen for another great reaction, as for your partner...yeah i rather not say
Best movie out the whole lot🙏 Han’s orange rx7 is so niceee. Plus DK’s 350z is awesome
0:42 I graduated hs in 2014 and all 4 years of high school we had to go through metal detectors and if we went off we were searched with a pat down
Sht we had metal detectors in primary school when I was going to school in the Bronx. And it wasn’t even one of the worst parts of the Bronx 😂
Literally never seen a metal detector anywhere besides the airport :D Schools here have a janitor, not prison guards.
All of not most have metal detector in major cities
I was wondering when or even if you two were gonna continue with this franchise. I'm glad to see you're still doing it. I hope the timeframe between each reaction is much shorter from here on out, though.
This movie has so much character. Good or bad, it has a distinct identity, and I love it for that.
Interesting to see Lucas Black go from this to playing Christopher LaSalle in NCIS: New Orleans. Law breaker to Law enforcer.
8/10
Really good film.
This movie's story is stupid LMAO
The least popular?🤨🤨🤨
Just in case it went over your heads.....AE"86 Corolla" and 19"72 Skyline" are both Legendary Classics! AE86 was heavily popularized by a Anime called Initial D! But was also really popular in the Drift scene. Both these two cars are cars used by Drift King and the Father of Drifting AKA- Kuni-san and Keiichi Tsuchiya AKA- THE DK! Who was inspired by Kuni-san! DK Tsuchiya is in this movie Fishing!
You guys had the BEST reaction off the start: Tokyo Drift is so overlooked, and often surprises people when they dive in. It's so fun :)
The original and this one are my favorites, thanks y’all
maybe cos i was 21 back then, but this is my fav movie from all of them.
Did you guys know that Kristen used to live in Japan? If not, dont worry about it, she will keep reminding you, take a shot every time and you have deadly alcohol poisoning guaranteed drinking game.
As someone who lives in Tokyo I cringe when an American brings up this movie 😅 but I understand I as I grew up in California and Florida when this film came out
been waiting so long omg finally 😭
every time i see the scene where he says "i wasn't negotiating" i'm just like "......yes you were. i don't think you know what that word means"
30:05 Well since you already know that Han is in later films, I can tell you that THIS film takes place around the same time as "F&F 7"
I attended HS from 2001-2005 and we had metal detectors that we walked through every morning. Fairly common in my experience.
