    Fantastic. I wonder if we'll see an update for Studio One any time soon? Things have been strangely quiet the past year.

      Studio One Version 1 was release in April '09.
      version 2 was released in October '11. 2.5 years after v1.
      version 3 was released in May '15. 3.5 years after v2.
      version 4 was released in May '18. 3.0 years after v3.
      version 5 was released in July '20. 2.2 years after v4.
      And then, in '21, they brought out version 5.4, adding support for Macs with Apple silicon chips.
      I suppose, given this trend of, they could release version 6 anywhere from this fall... to next summer/fall...? I imagine they are very busy!

      @@SteliosMusic I feel the same way. I would like to see Studio One get a true video track -- not because I score to film/media, but... because I get tired of people having to choose Logic or Cubase because S1 doesn't have a true video track! 🙂

    Very nice! It would be a dream come true if OT, Spitfire and NI add support for the auto generated Sound Variations. That would make it much easier if for instance you start with legato and staccato, but add more articulations later on in the project.

      Yes, I agree. Let's spam NI with feature requests ;-)

    Thanks a lot for this great tutorial! Is it possible to connect sound variations to musical symbols and articulations from the Score editor? So if I prefer writing music in the score editor, when I add for example a 'staccato' or 'harmonic' markings those are also mapped to the sound variations and the correct samples are triggered. Many thanks and best regards, MaxT

    Nice video Lukas. What is the "Input" in the sound variation editor for?

    • @studioonetutorials
      @studioonetutorials  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's the note pitch that triggers this Sound Variation... if you want to trigger them with keys on your keyboard.

    Spent some time on this to catch it then i share it over there : For Spitfire Audio users, activation sequence must be decremented by 1 Octave! For instance, C-1 is the Legato keyswitch in the instrument editor hence Activation sequence in the sound variation editor must be set-up to C-2 so as to be triggered.

    I have an important question for me, why i can t see the left side panel for assigning sound variations?
    I mean that not always it appears in the midi editor.
    It much more convenient to use it than draw the lane on the bottom (it s useful for visualization but not so good for programming)

    • @studioonetutorials
      @studioonetutorials  ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably the editor needs a certain height to show this panel.

      that is it, than you S1T - so silly that it just disappears when you make it too small but you get silly details about the note selected whch you do not realy need ...

      Awesome! Yes, the procedure is exactly the same for Kontakt. You just need to add the right keyswitches (or MIDI CCs) for your libraries...

    exxcellent video Lucas. Tell the people at studio oe development, that studio one 6 should have a looping ability allowing for different length loops on different tracks playing at the same time. and maybe an automatic duplicate loop nfunction of we desire it. something like the Montage and fantom features I guess.. seems to me that wouldnt take too much coding, but i imagine CPU usage would be a bit heavy in some cases but thats on us users. This would make Studio Ones live show page a Game changer . Maybe studio one has a work arond for that already? Im just a dumb pianist.
