Let's just take a moment to appreciate this guy playing an entire orchestral piece with his own four limbs! AMAZING!
Fantastic! I can't find a suitable word. You have achieved the aura of the masterpiece as Tchaikovsky would have intended it and at the same time, you wonderfully demonstrate the power of organ! For Tchaikovsky and organ lover, you open door to another dimension.
This young guy is making very noticeable advancements over the time. He will be one of the greatest organist soon.
It seems Gert can transcribe almost any piece for the organ! His playing has completely renewed my interest in pipe organ music. Outstanding.

I grew up listening this played by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in an outside auditorium in upper Michigan with an array of cannon, musket fire, drums and whatever else they could throw in the pot. It was usually played on July 4. I have many fond memories of this masterpiece by Tchaikovsky and I now have a new one, played brilliantly by a master organist, Gert van Hoef. Gert if I may say so, you obviously love what you do, and it shows in virtually every piece you play, but here, here, Mr van Hoef, you shine. Thank you for sharing something you obviously love. Awesome !!! - P.S. I'd love to hear what you would do with Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries... Jeff Frixen
