There was never anything the ACC could have done to compete with the B1G or the SEC. Both conference have very large state schools with enormous alumni bases. That FSC and Clemson wanted to align themselves with a collection of small state and private schools, goes to show the decision making skills of the powers that be for those two schools.

All major universities in the state of Florida has add many advantages over FSU, and FSU has continued to rise in academies and research. Now there are no more obstructions to FSU and there is a large FSU alumni in of legislation. Lets see what we do now with an academic research building, expanding engineering development, partnerships with St Joe and Gulf Coast Triump, etc etc

So Why did a R1 research level FSU get approved for a medical school to enhance the quality of life for the aging and underserved population but not allowed to conduct clinical research to increase its NIH funding. The underserved and aging populations probably require the most clinical research. How does a R1 Level research school like FSU be not allowed to have its own Engineering School. There is a lot of research and patents done with engineering and FSU is currently the smallest engineering school of the top 25 public institutions. But all of this is changing because we now have a legislature body that supports FSU’s academic ambitions. USF, UF, UM, and UCF do not or did not have those types of restraints. So anyone who says FSU is whining or arrogant can go the Hell. Still we rise!!!
the ACC took BC, and Syracuse over WVU...if you are serious about football, you wouldnt do that. and if anyone is about to hear what I am not saying, I do not want, nor did i want WVU in the ACC.
There has been no breach of contract yet, FSU and Clemson are seeking legal opinions on the legality of the GOR contracts only. No one has left the conference yet, it will happen, that rubicon has been reached, this year? Next year? As for Matt Baker, he’s just one view and now outed himself as irrelevant along with his pal, Paul Catalina. FSU will never be in the Big 12.

Although UCF is now in the Big XII, it still not too late for the ACC to expel FSU. They have caused great embarrassment for the conference, been disruptive and are causing millions of dollars in legal fees. It only takes the vote of 12 members to expel them immediately. I call upon all member schools to rise up and support the effort to kick FSU out of the conference.
