What better combination than joining a fellow pilot on a marvelous exploration with our favorite narrowboater. Thanks for bringing us along on a most splendid ride. I hope that David's commitment to a Mars bar wasn't just for the camera. ;-)
Came over from Cruising the cut. Viewing from the middle of the US. Indiana, USA. Great job. I think your prize should have been a few gin and tonics plus an overnight on the narrowboat!
Great video again Jon, and as a bonus I saw the pub near Hatton Locks where a girlfriend ditched me 30 years ago! It was awesome to see the canals from above, a trip I've made in the past with my brand new PPL from East Mids Airport, also in a P28. Thank you for another superb production.
Great video Jon. I had a look at David's channel after you had given it a mention in an earlier video and subsequently subscribed and it was very good to watch the trip from both perspectives. Well done and thank you.

I just found you from Cruising the Cut which I’m binge watching. Will have to split my time with you now. Have a lapsed PPL which I got at Biggin in the late 80s and that approach into 21 brought back loads of great memories. Would love to fly again but it just got so expensive. Can’t imagine Biggin is cheap either for a private light aircraft now!
I found this video as Recommended by TH-cam but being a subscriber of Cruising The Cut, I haven't even watch David's version of this trip! I am pretty sure his vlog would be no less amazing work. Thanks for bringing him around on a plane because I managed to hear him talk more about himself on this plane than in his own vlog LOL.
You guys are certainly living the life and having a ball by applying your respective skills sets!! I've subscribed - it reminds me of the time my son was still training and being a charter pilot. He was always flying somewhere with lots of photos to display his office views!
yes indeed. wonderful video. I will enjoy your vlog as well now. My wife and I are talking about coming over and renting a a hire narrow boat and cruising the cut. I love youtube!
Very interesting videos from two different perspectives, have spent many hours both in the air and on the water your exploits bring back many happy memories. (Chris ex Royal Navy & Fleet Air Arm)
Just watch your vlog. Enjoyed it very much. Been a subscriber of David’s channel for a while and am now a subscriber to your’s. I send greetings from Oklahoma in the U. S. A.
Hello, I am a migrant from Cruising The Cut ...iI love flying & I love narrow boats.... & guess what, I do neither...Just love to watch others having fun....
Awesome video of two people's passions, loved the views over the canals and that strange hole. Going to watch and subscribe to David's channel. Still have a lot of flying to do with you as a few more videos to get up to date since finding you excellent channel. 🛩
Hi Jon - nice one. Wellesbourne is where I'm doing my PPL from at the moment. Those locks and that quarry look stunning. I will be looking out for them when the time comes :)
I have just come over from Cruising the Cut, and enjoyed your video of the trip you did with David. I have subscribed. Thank you for the video very enjoyable, espcially when viewing from Devon in lockdown.
@@TheFlyingReporter I use to live in North Cotes in Lincolnshire, opposite the old RAF air field, that is now used as a private flying club, have you visited that airfield? Beautiful area, right by the coast.
Great video..I love that fact we both fly what looks like an Archer?. Quick questions if you don't mind...I noticed you have an extended battery on the GoPro facing front. How long does that brand of battery usually last?
Hi, thanks. It's an 'All Day Brunton 2'..I think it would outlast the fuel endurance of the Warrior. It kept my rolling for about 5 hours+ on this flight, but depends on what camera settings you're using.
Thanks..I have 2 GoPro Hero 3+ and the Garmin Virb. I bought extended batteries for all 3 but the Garmin still only get maybe 2 hours....very disappointing. The GoPro's are fine at 5+hours. Thanks again. Great video!
Hello, Just subscribed to you. I'm 17 doing my PPL in a PA28 atm. Can you do a video or tell me about what equipment you use when flying such as your Ipad GPS app etc. Currently on navigation on my PPL so just looking around for when i pass "Hopefully". I fly out of EGSG.
Very interesting to watch this version having just watched David's own vlog on CTC - thanks for sharing Jon. Happy flying !! 😎
I'm a migrant from Cruising The Cut - I've subscribed!
Migrants welcome! Thank you for tuning in.
The voice of the most legendary FISO at Wellesbourne. Frankie is absolutely amazing. I think everyone who flies from EGBW will agree!
The countryside is beautiful from the air. Thank you! And you don't even see all the rubbish in the canals.

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the journey.

David Johns sent me over. Excellent flying and video quality. You found all three and a giant hole too !
Excellent video and brilliant write up. Nice to see some of the Midlands' canals from the air for a change. There are SO many round here (Tamworth).

Visitor from Cruising the Cut. Nice to get a view from 1200 feet instead of 12 (or something like that). Hope you got at least a Mars-bar! :-)
