- Join me for a quick spin down Air Chair, a beautiful mountain bike trail on Galbraith Mountain here in Bellingham, WA!

Galbraith Mountain land is owned by a private logging company, yet they graciously let us use the mountain as guests. Upcoming logging efforts will effect parts of Air Chair, so I wanted to capture this trail in its current- and absolutely beautiful- state. Hopefully in a few more years we'll get to enjoy a full canopy again!

This new edit style is better in my opinion. Actually seeing you ride trails. POV's are good, but for someone like you that is awesome in jibbing features on trails, it's way more entertaining seeing it from trail side perspective vs chest cam. Keep it up, and thanks for this great edits. You'll reach a million subs in no time.
Thanks Non Clemente! These edits are a TON more work, but I'd much rather watch this type of video than POV as well. We'll see how the budget looks, I might need to find an "intern" who can film for free to make it more sustainable!

Wow, that's 2 Air Chair videos in one week! Jill Kintner is a rad rider and I liked her video, but your video is on a whole different level! Galbraith looks like an awesome place to ride, can't wait to get up there next year. Hopefully the logging won't impact too many trails. It's great that they allow mountain bikers on the mountain, thanks WMBC!
Thanks Tom, I wasn't expecting to see Jill's video and it totally caught me off guard when it came out, but it's rad! I did see her filming at the bottom of SST last weekend. We grabbed our footage about 2 weeks ago, a bit of an experiment with a local fellow that I'll try working with on some feature edits soon. Thanks for watching- and am hoping to drive some good traffic and donations to WMBC through these!

Thanks Jimmy, this was my first time working with LUTs, but since my white balance wasn't super consistent it was a huge PITA and I turned almost all of them off. That's a fun bike indeed, but I'm starting to get to the itch to do some Ripley edits!

I loved Bellingham when I got to visit early this year. This reminds me how bad I want to go back!
It's a great spot, though I only get to ride about 25% of the local trails since I'm so pinned between my day job (international sales manager at WTB), being a husband/dad, and doing these videos. Hopefully we can get some better day care options going next year!

You have a bit of an advantage over other mt. bike youtuber's in that you have a production crew. Can you do a behind the scenes of what it takes to shoot one of these types of mt. bike videos, i.e. steady cam, slider, red epic, or what all are you and your crew doing?
Hey there, I wish I had a production crew! I can't stand watching GoPro only videos, so at least once a month I hire someone to use my camera and shoot me riding, then I edit together a video. At first this was called the Shredit series, but I am changing the name of the series to Finding Flow. The next episode will be coming out soon!
Being a filmmaker myself, I can tell that an experienced videographer was behind the camera for many of the shot used in this youtube video. Fess up.
Nate Hills makes GoPro only videos that are very entertaining and engaging so it's possible.

How's the winter riding there? Do ya'll get a lot of snow?
Thanks John! Are you related to Lea Ritter by any chance? We do get some snow, I think I counted 5 snow storms last year. Normally it melts in a day or two, but sometimes it sticks around for a week or two.
Not related that I know of.
I'm looking to come spend a year or so in Bellingham to try it out. Hopefully see ya on the trails by spring.
Do you switch to a mud tire for the winter?
No mud tires needed here in winter, the dirt handles the moisture really well. I just run my Vigilante 2.3 TCS Tough High Grip tires front and rear all year 'round. Bellingham is a great spot to spend a year! There are many other cool spots, too- Olympia, WA, Wenatchee, WA, Bend, OR, Hood River, OR, Eugene, Or, the list goes on and on!
I'm currently in Eugene and have spent the last two summers riding in Oakridge. Ready to see what's happening in Bellingham.
