Nepal bata herne jatile yeta hajir garaum ta sathiharu .. JAI NEPAL ..
waiting for you to say that you bought a Mamiya 7.
Hahaha. I just did that too
@@revaaronit’ll come
@@kleanish I almost bought one last month, but I already have too many medium format cameras: Contax 645, rz67, fuji g690blp, Mamiya 645afd, Rolleichord (1951), and Moskva-5.
Bro I appreciate all the love you’re as inspirational as everyone you mentioned . Much love gang
G.O.A.T.
yayy !! its our boi vuhlandes !! 😎
TAPPED IN
You are the goat bro you deserve that
You’re definitely one of my favorite bro 🔥🤙🏼
NO WAY. Jason Kummerfeldt was on my little league baseball team and highschool film class in the small town of Novato. Haven’t heard of him since 15 years ago. Glad to know he made it!
no way, will(fan of u since 2017!!!) knows my fave photographer
Novato, CA ???
For stories like that is why I pay the Internet.
Awesome dude.
Vuhlandes has been under appreciated for a long time it feels like as far as TH-cam promoting his content in the film category. Amazing to see someone with a platform as big as Peter’s give him the praise he deserves. Great video
I love you
@@vuhlandes love you too man, this is a huge example as to why authenticity is more valuable than trendy content. It may take longer to gain an audience but it’s well worth the wait.
He's not under appreciated, he is repetitive.its the same stuff over and over and over.
@@Clifton_McWilliams if you hate what you see when you look in the mirror keep it to yourself bro, don't get on the internet and hate on the next man that's weak af.
In a world ravaged by narcissism, it's so refreshing that Peter unlike other TH-camrs would take time and invest so much effort to promote other photographers.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
he's still very much a narcissist
@@AndyS52How?
He still can’t win though can he. People rabbiting on about “underrepresented female photographers” you like what you like. Who gives a shit whether they are female or not
Thank you so much man! ❤️❤️ loved watching this one. So many talented people including yourself
🐐
game recognises game
Peter shouting out 50 shades of Jason is my new favorite cross-over episode
i wanna see what jason says about it :) he’s so funny. love the dude.
Jason is my spirit animal
Let's be real. Peter only gave Jason the shout because of Baxter.
@@TravisHFitzgerald100% agreed
Imagine Peter on Jason’s interview videos 😂😂
Thanks so much for the love, brother. Honored to have been able to provide a little bit of inspiration and information to someone who has provided so much for so many of us. Always happy to help. Oregon awaits you!
You truly do great work! Your videos are informative and entertaining. Good luck in the new home studio and looking forward to new content!
as someone who first started on digital 8 years ago and always watched your videos and then completely switched over to film in 2018 and have gotten to know the amazing film photography community of youtube, this is amazing.
Great that you made this video, but only one woman was mentioned? This video was bought to my attention by quite a few photographers, as I often feel under-represented and overlooked by men in the photography community.
Many of which have had their comments deleted 👀
@@ashleetough that's not even surprising. Thing is, this is just engagement for this guy as well. More views, more clicks. Calling it now, if the deleted comments are because he wanted to act like he "discovered" these other women in a later video, then that says it all. Be a joke if he does an apology video too.
Hey Ashlee - not a single comment has been deleted regarding anything from this comment section. Not sure where you're getting your info - But I can assure you, nothing has been removed. @@ashleetough
So was it the TH-cam fairy that did it then? Because I can literally search every comment and I can’t find the few that are missing 🤔@@PeterMcKinnon
Unless profane words that are blocked were used, nothing has been deleted by me. 🤷🏻♂️
Vuh & Sam 🐐 They're my guys & also, perfection! This was a good switch up, you nailed it. I appreciate when creators mention their inspirations! 🔥
Love that someone who inspires so many is still inspired by so many. You’re a good dude Pete. Thanks for the intro to some great photographers out there. 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Been following this channel for ever and I always love when you highlight other creators. Those two things I said don't necessarily belong but I wanted you to know both. I have been following a couple of these but now I have more to inspire me. Love that you gave love to Vuhlandes. Extremely unique individual and creative.
Shame there aren’t more female photographers mentioned in the video.. some equally talented ones out there!
True
They are also all from the USA and take the same photos. This lad calling it a film journey made me nearly puke.
Peter you are definetly special man, thanks for promoting smaller creators as you always do, you have a heart of gold 💛
My guy, loved this one! Love to see you supporting all these creative people!
Great video Pete! I love how you've given these true artists some coveraage to let others experience their craft. Great work mate
Glad these guys are getting some well deserved recognition. I know Joe & Willem both have photo books out, definitely the best way to consume their work if you can get your hands on them!
Jason is just art, sarcastic, sad, and an amazing photographer.
I got clickbaited by Casey 😅
I worked in photography (fashion and stock in NY) from like 1989 to 2003..... I left just as the switch to digital was occurring. The part of this that cracks me up is we would NEVER shoot Kodak Gold. It was desperate, last option, only film you could find.... It's nice to see people shooting film again.
Old film guy here, did hundreds of weddings back in the 80's and early 90's, lived in Denver so had to mix wedding and landscape photography on many of the weddings I shot. Knowing your film type is key, I used Vericolor 120 (over exposed 1/2 stop) so mastering a film type is (I think) super important in Film Photography. Believe me being a film guy helped me so much when I started shooting digital. Nice video !!
It took me three days to finish this video because of the habit holes I fell in along the way.
Another killer video Peter, thank you again for being a fountain of amazingness that shares the love!
I think it’s a shame that some comments have been deleted. Maybe this video would of been better titled “people who inspired me to start film photography “. Rather than here’s some bros and a token woman. This massively under represents the huge amount of female photographers
Absolutely no comments have been deleted from this comment section. Whatsoever
This is a joke. The GOAT (film) photographers are not on TH-cam, you can see their works at museums, galleries, photo agencies, cover magazines and photobooks.
You do realize that the term GOAT is subjective right? Just because someone can have an image published or shared in a gallery doesn’t take away from the fact that others who don’t can still produce amazing work
Why is there not enough shoutouts to female film photographers? There are so many G.O.A.T female film photographers out there. I get that this industry is male dominated but female film photographers deserve to be applaud too.
This isn’t a definitive list is it. Just a few friendly shout outs.
@@matthart2499 nobody said definitive list and we appreciate all the friendly shoutouts but it was more of a question of why only shoutout 1 female film photographer?
Can’t say enough about content creators with large followings on TH-cam who shout out other channels. Really feels like a community when this kind of stuff happens! Great vid.
Ayeee Vuhlandes getting his flowers 💐 love to see it!
This was incredibly dope of you to do. This is what it’s all about!!!!
Such great mentions, and beautiful work by the lot of them. Another great mention be Nick Carver. His work always seems so simple, but his attention to details, thought process and his experience with film deserve all the love and attention as well. You'd love his work.
So sick, I love that you are uplifting other photographers
Great vid, you hit all the majors. I was worried for a bit that Willem wasn't gonna get mentioned, but thankfully you do. He's the only TH-cam photographer that I bought a photo book from.
Something you said that has always stuck with me was - making sure to send the elevator back down. It's why so many people respect what you do, love to see it man. Great video!
Thanks Peter, as always you continue to point us to amazing peeps in our craft.
Thanks Pete, these guys are legends! Followed them all!
I see a Peter McKinnon video, I click on it and like 🎉
Me too. ❤
One guy I've been following for so long who absolutely nails it is Trout and Coffee, he goes by kyle but just nails that nostalgic seasonal setting so insanely well. definitely worth a look
Cody and Jason are both awesome! Glad to see them getting shoutouts
Love this! And love that you're always putting the spotlight on other creatives. Such amazing photography. Also amazing that there was only 1 female photographer... I'm sure there are plenty out there who are worthy of making the list.
I was commenting the exact same thing too. There are so many great female film photographers out there but somehow only 1 made the cut.
What a UNIQUE video this is Pete!. Absolutely loved watching their work. Thanks for sharing them with us. Love love... lots of love. I also have a film camera and I also feel like starting to shoot film someday soon.
My face when Peter opened that fridge full of film! What a thing of beauty.... Wish I had enough film in stock to justify giving it a private fridge! lol
the warm feeling Peter gets looking at Kodak Gold 200 is the same feeling I had admiring all these photographers art. this vid is a gem Pete & Kirk.
Epic list excited to check them out, would have loved to see more women represented!
My thoughts exactly! Lots of faves on here, but as always not a whole lot of ladies. If you never quite feel included as a women, you’re not alone lol
Yeah, where are the women?
@@naabiaromain3917 appreciate you replying 👍💛
So great that you can share the limelight with these guys. Learnt about a few more film shooters to look into. Would be good to do a B&W group as well. Love the film journey.
Hey peter, I saw your videos since 2019.. Where at that time I got my first project as a beginner photographer and I didn't know where to start. Now that I've been trusted by some great clients thanks to your tips, I'm planning to create my own TH-cam channel in the future.. I love you Peter and I'm very grateful.
haven’t really touched my cameras in almost a year-this really inspired me to get back into the groove, purely for the love of it
I needed this inspo this morning, as someone who goes back and forth between film and digital. Walking out the door to go capture some film magic.
It's great to see the young guys and gals keeping film alive. Some extraordinary work there!
📷😎👍
Would love to see you feature photographers that aren’t already big
All these guys are so talented, this is a new era for photography. But when you mentioned the GOATS and I thought you would be talking about Steve McCurry, Sebastiao Salgado, Garry Winogrand, Vivian Mayer etc etc.
Always a great day when you see a Peter McKinnon vid drop.
I love that you’re taking on film and introducing all of your subscribers to it. Also that film fridge 😍
There has been people that said Peter might be killing film but it seems like this is a really positive impact on photography as a whole (except for ebay prices ;-;). Idk film ytbers are underated and this is so nice to see thanks for supporting the film photography!
5 years ago Matti and Peter inspired me to pickup a camera, during the pandemic Jason, Vuh, and Willem were my go to when I was learning film. I wish to see them be in one video with Peter.
Always the same energy years later. Keep going man
Love seeing all my favorite artists getting such a massive shoutout to peters huge audience
Whoaa!! This is so inspiring man! Thanks for sharing. Crazy Talent!!
The thumbnail?
the underrepresentation of women photographers is so strong here
Lol, modest Pete with images of the Yellowstone set is awesome 😁 TBF, you inspired me to make more effort into my photos. Editing, learned from some of your early vids. Granted, this is abt film, which I haven't shot in decades... Regardless... Your early work has been a huge inspiration to me. Thank you man. You rock.
Great selection - love that you're also featuring a couple of "smaller" creators! So much talent out there.
appreciate you man!❤ keep going xx🎞️
I'm going to get super real for a second so i apologize in advance. My job lately has been a living hell for a variety of reasons but pausing for 15 minutes and 28 seconds to give this video a bit of my time during the day was worth every second. I don't love what I do, it's a stepping stone to bigger and better things down the road but I do love my youtube channel and the joy it brings me. Seeing a video like this always reminds me that even when life or a job can get crazy you have to remind yourself it's not the end all be all. Theres always other opportunities out there and even if you're in a rough place today, doesn't mean you will be tomorrow. these artiest were able to take the thing they love and turn it into a life well lived.
If they can do it then why cant we.
Thanks for sharing these photographers! Some great new names for me to check out as well as some familiar ones. I'm glad Willem Verbeeck got a mention as he's been one of my favorites for a while.
What a great video! Some really inspiring, photographers and work 🙏🙌
Wow! I didn’t know many of these photographers. Thanks for sharing their work 🙌🔥
This was the BEST way to respond to that video of the guy saying Peter McKinnon would be bad for the film photography space. Good on ya Pete! ✊
Vuh really is the GOAT!! Learnt so much from him, even every frame of his videos are masterpieces. Let alone the photos 🔥
Thanks Man! For all 🙏🏼
Congrats man! Looks epic
Pete, you’re awesome. I want to shoot film because of you. I saw a video recently in my dive into film photography that highlighting that you joining film will hurt other film photographers on YT because you are so huge. That couldn’t be further from the truth. You do you Pete. Salute
I love all of those photographers / creators ! Great video truly. Would love to see more representtion from diffrent genders of film photogrpahers. There are so many out there.
Something about film permits snap photography more. I love the style of snap photography but something about the age and techniques of film gives it validity.
Images like you were mentioning with the pool stairs being the subject I love it. I'll continue to do it with my Ricoh GR III for now, but man I think film elevates the genre.
Such a joy to see you into film !!
Can't wait to see your Oregon shots. I'm on the coast and the photography opportunities are literally endless.
Thank u so much i literally been following vuhlandas for like a year now and always thought he was the most underrated creator on the web
So much talent in a single video, love it!
Thanks for this list, they are amazing!!!
stumbled across a lot of hate in comment sections and even entire videos dedicated to what you shooting film is going to do to the medium... and I just simply don't get it. It's a beautiful medium and everyone should try it. Glad you're enjoying it and I'm so excited that you are sharing these guys accounts. Film youtubers usually plateau around 250-350k subscribers and I love the cross pollination man! Happy shooting
My favourites, got several books from each one:
Landscape/Environment & the human impact: Edward Burtynsky & Nadav Kander
Creative Ideas: Hiroshi Sugimoto (each project has a new concept, my favourite, completely opening my eyes to creative photography was "Dioramas", where he photographed actual taxidermy dioramas in museums/zoos in black & white and from a very particular perspective so you would 100% think it's a real scene and alive animals, sometimes even feeling like some 1930s early expeditions)
Photo Journalism: Anja Niedringhaus (one of many greats, just wanted to mention her because maybe she's not so much known outside of Germany? She got several big exhibitions post mortem, covered 9/11, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, etc., got sadly killed while embedded 2014 in Afghanistan, also a great role model, pushed the topic of women applying for a political position in Afghanistan in the short years of democracy)
Some pure talent here thanks for sharing dude!
You might like a Canadian photographer named Christine Fitzgerald. Years ago on Canada's 150th - I discovered her work when I applied to join a ship journey (came close, but missed the final cut) - her work is mind-blowing and I honestly think it will amaze you.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any obsession with new photographic methods caused when/if you see this work. It's pretty "next-level" photography and it's analog at it's apex (imho). If you start getting into this - it's not my fault.
You literally did "pope in the pool" for that sponsor sequence. Love you dude.
Thank you for sharing Pete!
Such an enjoyable video to inspire and shout out amazing artists
Ahhh yes, Jason and Vuh are my absolute FAVES in the film space!
Yes Peter! Love when you make these kinds of videos! :D
Grainydays aka 50 shades of Jason is top tier film photographer and TH-cam creator, the videos are epic! Him and BadFlashes are the dynamic duo!!
I remember when my dad shot his last roll of Kodachrome and told me all about why it was a big deal. I didn't get it until years later when I truly started shooting on my own and not just using one of his cameras to the settings he had set.
GREAT work from everyone!!
I’m feeling so inspired right now!!’ Also can I just point out that your hat and boot game is ON POINT! Where did you get those boots?! We got to know!
Great video, man. Thanks for sharing.
+ 1 Vuhlandes dude is one of the best on TH-cam, and he inspired me months ago to get into film.
One person left off this list that I feel should of been on it. Mike Gray. Incredible film work, and he’s literally 2-3 years into it.
A full roster of GOATs
Willem, Vuhlandes, and Grainy Days are the 3 that got me into photography in the first place.
Kodak Gold was the standard when I started seriously becoming a photog in 1978. 200, 400, 800 and 1200 (when shooting long range action or sports.) I had 100s of rolls of 200 & 400 - 24exp. film in my bag at any one time. I had a dedicated film bag because I shot so much.
Some rolls took weeks or months to shoot, unless it was for a client shoot. You shot with purpose because you didn’t have $$ to just shoot willy-nilly. And you didn’t have the option of deleting photos that didn’t turn out quite right like with digital.
Film Photogs were true artists, unlike digital creators. We didn’t have editing software to correct mistakes.
great sources of inspiration - thanks for sharing
You can still fix photos when you print them... masking, drugging, burning, color correct, etc. Slides are at another level.... Worked in labs for 11 years... 😊
Amazing video. Thank you so much for being an inspiration to many
I really enjoyed this - such talent out there - there must be so much anxiety waiting to get these developed. The only thing is... and I know this won't be intentional but are there no women/female film shooters - perhaps I missed it? Could you do another video about women film shooters...
