I would like caution CNA students to be more understanding when evaluating youtube videos. Please remember, skills are slightly different from state to state. This is an attempt to help you, a student, that is preparing to pass the skills and written test by someone who has passed. The videos are not meant to replace the specific instructions given by your instructor, in your state, if you are in a training program.

I may be in a different state so the rules might be different but in my book it says that you're supposed to roll your client onto their side and then assist them in sitting up in the bed and then transfer them

I'm disappointed that there are not many videos on here for cna or hca that are demonstrated in real time. I understand these are instrucitnal but at 20 minutes limit and 4 skills one has to know what can and cannot be cut

jd Oh, but there are! If you look up CORNERSTONE HEALTHCARE TRAINING you will see excellent videos, done in 2-3 MINUTES, and with REAL PEOPLE! 😊

Do not use these techniques unless you wanna have severe back problems long before retirement!

A real person will probably weigh more than that dummy. Getting off the bed if they can’t stand would put strain on your lower back.

I was failed by a pearson vue cna proctor for this skill as they said the client may not touch you at any time during the transfer for safety. I am confused

You can’t hold up a client and put shoes on. Put shoes on in bed.

It’s better to demonstrate on a real client actor
