Skill 8 Provide Fingernail and Hand Care To A Client
for anyone using this video for review in 2024, the standard is now 8 Rights - route, reason, response, dose, documentation, medication, time, and person
For the prometrics test, do not sit directly in front of the client. Sit ti the side (their affected side) to avoid spray or splatter.
In Washington State as of 8/2024 the guide says put meds into bottle cap and then into client’s hand or enabler. Our training had us use a cup. For exam I plan to only use bottle cap.
I just wanted to say Thank you! I took my HCA class 18 months ago and it took until this last week to take my test. I watched all your videos for the last month and passed all Thank you❤
Suggest to using the 'Telison positioning bed pad with handles', which will be more convenient to help patient on turning/sitting up/lifting. It could be ordered from US amazon.
❤
Excellent explanation
Amazing video, though dogs need to be treated with love, care and respect as well. Just because they won’t pay you in money, that doesn’t mean they can be disrespected. They pay back with love. They have feelings too.
Thanks indeed. It's well expalined

Doing a great job. Thank u so much
I live in South Africa. I need this job but I cannot get it. My name is Sigqibo Nongcaula. I reside in the Province of The Eastern Cape, in a small town, Qumbu. I'm nearing to 30years of age and I haven't had a decent job. I need this job, I have a passion for aiding people with medical attention. I am fit and energetic. I am a fast learner, I respect client's privacy, helping the client around, I am a patient person.
Ok you've been redeemed with the Snoopy scrubs
Not very nice using the client's toothbrush and drinking their water haha.
It's very important that you talk to your client like they are a small child or baby as seen in the video. You would not want to provide them the dignity of speaking to them according to their actual age.
Yeah definitely don’t talk to them like this haha 😂
Good
What if the client is quadriplegic? I think it takes a little extra care, No?
I like
what will you do if the patient cannot open there mouth
Ask your supervisor if you reach that situation and they want you to preform that task is the only thing I can think of
so far so good everything is going well
20 minutes to wash your hands 😐
Right lol
Thanks 🙏 yesterday I passed that exam
Omg. Don’t follow this video. Lol FRom OT BSc BIA
Always wash your hands and wear gloves, this isn't for you, this is for them
