Having babies into your 40’s and 50’s is a very African thing…. At least so I’ve seen in W Africa. I think when you’re healthy, your body keeps business as usual which is a blessing. Sorry for your HG, but CONGRATS on the new addition!!! 🎊 🎉
Hey, its been a long time. I commented on your channel many years ago. I have been in Namibia for the past months (did visit Angola during this time). I will be traveling to SA in a couple of days to catch my flight back to the U.S. Its always a delight for me to see serious black-american women who have returned to embrace their source of being. Very sorry to hear about your pregnancy troubles. But so good to know that you soldiered on. Great to know that you are back on your feet. More better days ahead for you and your family.
Oh yes, I have been undergoing flu symptoms over the past four days. I decided to binge drink on tea and keep warm under extra blankets (a little portable heater as well). You have a great family here in Namibia. Namibians are generally affable.
Congratulations!!! I went through HG with my first pregnancy and unfortunately went into premature labour at just 20 weeks. The baby was not viable and could not be put in an incubator. It was traumatising, but now I have four beautiful children
Congratulations!!! The continent is really blessing you with the fruits of the womb. Am happy for you and good to see you again. Greetings to your growing family.
First, CONGRATULATIONS to you and hubby❣️❣️❣️ Oh my dear, how well I know hyperemesis gravidarum. 😢 I even commented on another of your videos my compassion and empathy over this condition. Mine was 5 months long, requiring several hospitalizations and a visiting nurse to manage my IV ( so I wouldn't severely dehydrate). My prayers are truly with you. 🙏🏼 My visiting nurse told me stories of women committing suicide because of HG. It was indeed one of the worst periods of my life. I unfortunately lost one of my twins in utero at 5 months, though I am so grateful for the birth of my other extraordinary child. God bless you, lovely lady‼️🛐🙏🏼
Thank you for the support and understanding ear! It makes ALL the difference!! I am so sorry that happened to you ❤️🩹 but I am also grateful for your child! ✨ Sending you love and sisterly vibes from Namibia 💞💗
So glad you to see you looking better. He who has started the good work in you will perfect it to the end. God has you in the palm of his hands. Congratulations 🎊🎉
Congratulations!!! I hope you get stronger going forward! Please, please, and please do what ever it takes to give your children the gift of fluency in their father’s tongue!!! One of the greatest gift you can give to your children! Please Immerse all of them in the culture 100% once the baby is born and you feel better!
The last time I watched one of your videos, you had just had your baby girl! This is certainly exciting news and I’m so happy for you guys and I’m glad you’re beginning to feel better. Take care of yourself and we look forward to seeing your lovely, healthy, bouncing baby boy!🥰
I'm so happy you've recovered. I had two children and suffered with HG the first 5 months in 1990 and 1997, with nobody I knew or even heard of the severe morning sickness. It was so bad that it did cross my mind to terminate it. I was hospitalized both pregnancies, severe vomitting, unable to hold drinking water, had sunk eyes, on IV's, lost a lot of weight, then gained alot back eating things that would settle my stomach until I gave birth, the easiest part considering months of agony. The very thought of pregnancy frightens me. To this day, I tell my children that they are very lucky to be here.
Oh goodness, so sorry to hear about the HG. Hope you are fully on the other side of it very soon. The video of your daughter and mother in law is so sweet. And the new baby’s due date…that’s no coincidence. 💕Best wishes for the remainder of your pregnancy!
Many of us became aware of this HG when Catherine, Princess of Wales ( wife of the Prince William of the UK) was pregnant with Prince George. It was stressed that HG is not the usual morning sickness. Thank you for shedding even more light on this sometimes debilitating and challenging part of pregnancy, God is good and with your supportive family, we await the arrival of the new baby. Thanks for sharing this and also the articles, which I promise to read and educate myself more. From a Jamaican in New York, who has followed you from before your wedding .
Appreciate the interest in reading more about it and yes! I heard about Princess Catherine having HG too! And she had access to all the resources and then some! It’s so debilitating- I get queasy just typing about it 🤦🏾♀️ Thank you for sticking around my journey! I have lots of Jamaican friends in NY, including my best friend’s mom - you all are such good people 🙌🏾💞
Congratulations!!!! So happy for you…that touch from your mom…the spirit of her love is always near to you! Many blessing! Hopefully the discomfort is mostly over. May the birth be easy as you welcome your young son to the earth plane!
Congratulations 🎉 Im currently 21 weeks pregnant and going through HG as well. This is my 3rd pregnancy. I had my son in 2013. My 2nd I lost in 2020 (6 weeks pregnant). Now this pregnancy is the first time I have experienced this. I'm also on zofran too. We have the same birthday month too😊. I hope you feel better. So far ginger is my best friend. I got to gain weight back. My pre-pregnancy weight was 192 now I'm 150. I can't even eat meat.
Congratulations! I am happy for you and your family. I have been watching you since before you we married so its awesome to see another update from you. I hope that the HG journey gets better for you. Thankfully I did not suffer from this condition when I was preg, but I have had food poisoning on a number of occasions and can't image dealing with anything similar to that for nine months. Looming forward to your next update, whenever it comes. Take care.
Congrats Kaylin, have a healing, healthy and well rested pregnancy. I've learnt a lot from your videos about our country and have inspired me to do something that can help people from around the world interested in permanently relocating to Namibia. Keep up the good work you are a blessing to Namibians indeed

Congratulations and thank you for sharing the baby's gender with us. You look beautiful. I'm sorry to hear about your illness, but I'm glad to hear that researchers are working on a treatment. May YAH bless you all.💖✌🏾🙏🏾🌻
