  • Back in 2021, the POWERHOUSE TH-camr #WodeMaya and I did an #ethnicitytag together while he was visiting Namibia. We had a lot of fun doing this cultural exchange together! Enjoy!

    Hello Kaylan, thank you so much for this video. This is my first ever TH-cam comment, after watching millions of videos over the years. That´s how Special You Are. I am a die hard fan of yours, since finding your channel 7 years ago. The way you´ve displayed your pursuit of happyness by getting to Namibia and living in Namibia means alot to me. I live in London, spent most of my life in Portugal but was born in Guinea-Bissau, atiny country in West Afrika. People like yoourself have inspired me to start a return home (Guinea-Bissau) plan. Thank you for everything!

    Kaylan thank you! Good to see you back to the content grind. Wode Maya said he's been going to the Caribbean and the US for several years now. He need to get to Black America and the Caribbean before 2024. Yes, visiting Africa is definitely spiritual. Stay blessed.

    Amazing interview and very informative, I learned something new from both of you. The last message was very powerful. I always believe that the missing link or puzzle of black Americans history is making that trip to Africa. Its life changing and necessary to reconnect with where your ancestors came from.

    What a nice interview! I'm watching from Arizona and can't tell you how much I miss living in a more integrated place. I came here after living in Oaxaca, Mexico and then Los Angeles. My two favorite cities in the US are Los Angeles and New York.
    My son-in-law is from Guinea. I will be watching both your channels. Could you recommend a TH-camr who would give me a view of Guinea and its people?
    Thank you for this video!

    Mjadala mkubwa (great discussion)! First, Black people in the United States should drop the term 'Black American' and pick an African (Bantu) name for the (collective) group, e.g., Maboma ('many villages' < Kiswahili). The "Black American" term does nothing to denote that the associated person is of African origin. In fact, the term "Black American" sounds like someone who is classified as an appendage culturally , ethnically and philosophically to the American, the name that the white colonizers, who founded the eventual United States, gave themselves. Second, develop an Africa linkage/engagement plan. Just thinking outside the box by a Bantu passing by!

    • @ZAR_72
      @ZAR_72 ปีที่แล้ว

      But not every black person in Africa or from Africa is Bantu. For example, Wode Maya or people from Ghana are not Bantu
