Very very thought provoking & educational to hear again & again for regular meditators! Thenkatchi Swaminathen is a Madam Vallal. After his nice talk at a place in Tamilnadu, he was given an envelope containing cash as a token for his service. He immediately handed over the envelope to a stranger without looking at the content of the envelope & requested the stranger to pass on the cash to any good charitable trust in that place. Later, one of his friends asked him how could he handover cash to a stranger without verifying his trustworthiness. Mada Vallal Swaminathen responded saying that if the stranger pockets the cash then he himself is an orphan & deservers it. Vallal Peruman's core teaching of Thayavu is deep in the hearts of Mada Vallals (defined by today's pahutharivu beggers).
