@History matters: there is one thing you need to add: the influence on europe time zones during nazi reign. The nazi regime standardized the time zone even further nu declaring berlin time (GMT +1) the standard time for all countries they took over. For a great part of countries this remained after WW2. For example: dutch time is GMT +1 but GMT would actually make more sense to use since geographically, the Netherlands is located GMT +20 minutes.

At this point in time we really ought to have the patreon supporters face each other off in a series of duels. There can only be one!
James Byzanette vs Wiston Caward.
Philda Oink Oink vs A Man of Culture
lmao love the channel bro
Interesting! By the way, in Russia at every railway station there are still two clocks, one of which shows Moscow time - because it is the official time on every train.
Because Spinning Three Plates and Phil the Oink Oink said so
These humorous endings were a really good decision! Great work!
Mind blown that Ireland had it's own time zone for a while
Makes sense since there is no railroad between Britain and Ireland.
I love the ones that have a post credit scene :)

UK: The laws of time are mine!
It's frightening how much information this guy packs into three minutes
I love how Liberia was just sorta there despite being the last to adopt it 😂

0:11 you be surprised, still disappoints me that even with our wealth of knowledge, scientific and mathematical understanding people still think the world is flat.
But now they're more popular.
I thought the subject of time zones would have related to longitude. You should do a video on longitude. It’s a fascinating subject.
Thank god Britain invented time!
Indiana was on effectively 3 time zones: Eastern standard for most of the state with no Daylight time, Central time for Gary and Evansville, and Eastern Daylight for the north shore of the Ohio River. Only some years ago did the standard time part of the state adopt Daylight savings time.
Arizona and Hawaii still disregard Daylight time.
Alaska went from 4 to 2 time zones in the early 1980s.
See half hour time deviations, where some countries or parts of countries have their time 30 to 90 minutes different from adjacent countries or regions. The four Eastern states in Australia do it, as does Newfoundland, Canada.
1:58 Canada still has 5 time zones. Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern, and Atlantic.
And Newfoundland Time.
Always good to hear someone mention Dublin Mean Time. It's a constant source of annoyance for Midday commemorations, particularly the Easter Rising.
That must be why the rising failed, half the lads showed up 25 minutes late.
Flat Earther has entered the chat.
Thank you for this brilliant, fun, and educational videos.

Never post in online chat rooms, goodnight or good morning. Found that one out the hard way.
Liberia: "sorry we are late guys, you still handing out the sign in papers?"
Speaking of Liberia, a video about how that country came to be would be interesting.
The "mutton chops" bit made me chuckle.
