The Maharaja Mac in India is the only fast food I've ever had anywhere where the actual product looks like the photos in the ads. Burger Singh in CP for the win though.
While the concept is the same, ultimately McDonald's is modified to suit local tastes wherever it is, my uncle from India told me this many years ago when I was surprised at how different the menu was over there. I find the UK and the US have largely the same stuff but even between those two are major differences (UK has unique breakfast items such as porridge and bacon rolls while the US has biscuits). We have fried apple pies in the UK unlike the baked ones in the US. As for India, the food is generally spicier (especially the McAloo Tikki and Maharaja Mac) and exciting and of course no beef or pork products are sold.
You should have tried Mcveggie instead of mcaloo tikki burger and also the Pizza Mcpuff !! Both are worth the try. And that orange sauce in Mcaloo tikki is basically ketchup + mayo. That is the reason you get that sweet ketchup taste. I personally feel that Mcaloo tikki is too basic and not that great at all. The only positive about it is it's cheap price !

Yes, it definitely looks like the pics! In the US, the big macs are really deflated and messy compared to the pics. McDonald's India does it better.
