Thank you everyone for the comments here! Two main points I want to address, as many seem to argue rerolling for Water (Celes + Alstoria) or Light (Jayden, Locke, Engelbert, Lucio) would be better... Reroll for Water: And what vision cards are you grabbing here? Unless a new player is rerolling until they get Vow to Meet Again, Thanks for the Votes, Clairvoyant Astrologer ON TOP of Celes + Alstoria (6+ weeks away). As experienced players it's easy for us to look at units a certain way, but new players often struggle because of vision cards, NOT units. Reroll for Light: The "power" of light is predicated a lot on vision cards and gear. Lucio/Engelbert/Locke/Fina are neat, but a new players will have these anyway, so you can build on the backburner as a second team. The only units to reroll for are Jayden/Violet (3+ months away) or wait until the next global festival and reroll for Elena/Jayden (2+ months and no Elena sword). Either way, a new player won't have Winter Coat, Ribbon, or Black Garb for evasion for Violet/Elena. The Meta: The impending "water meta" is NOT a reason to avoid grabbing up this team! A new player won't be competing in the meta anyway for minimum 3-6 months while they gather up gear and vision cards. By then, the meta could be drastically different. Chasing the meta/counter-meta is generally cringe advice, ESPECIALLY for new players! Saying a new player shouldn't pull this team to me sounds a lot like "Cloud/Charlotte/Frederika is bad because Zazan/Oberon/Noctis"
in my opinion you are that only one make best guide for new players of they really fllow every step from u guide they will have strong start in game for long run and good luck Nerd night
Can't wait for Setia. As a light main, I normally skip non-light character, but this might be an exception since her design is "fire" along with her lovable fiery characteristic in the other story. On a side note, Setia & Lucio remind me of Alphen & Shionne from Tale of Arise so it would be nice if they actually have some romantic moments (similar to their counterpart) if the dev decide on expanding the storyline of WoC.
You could do something similar with light or water, although there aren't on-banner units. to work with for those elements. But you could pretty easily get Pharm + Moore and prep for Celes and have a really strong water comp.
I like the concept, I think it will be a lot harder for someone to reroll into TWO cost 100 units than u might be giving credit for, especially since 1 of them will be non-boosted rates. Might not be the best suggestion considering in this same time frame (50 days) many people will prioritize Celes and Astoria and water will be rampant. This might be better served as a reroll guide for players that started already and are not too invested, that may want to pivot into fire after seeing what the element has to offer and what characters they like. Either way lots of useful information for planning in here, glad I clicked the video!
This is why I have the "behemoth in the room" disclaimer because this WILL be difficult to reroll and get... 😓 On the second point - even though Cloud/Charlotte/Frederika was followed by Zazan/Oberon/Noctis that doesn't mean this team was bad by ANY stretch, and is STILL a viable PvP option. I don't think Celes + Alstoria is reason enough to avoid fire in the long term. This plus you get two matching vision cards for strong units. They will always pump up an element, then release counters soon after (Lightning > Earth > Wind recently) so I like to say it's better to just build your strengths than constantly try to counter the meta ;) Thank you for the comments and watching!
Can reroll now, until Mont or Classy Glaccy. Free pulls available plus the cheap 3 UR ticket pulls in shop. Easy/quick Visiore available possibly to cram in another pull but I'm not sure the time to benefit ratio compared to just deleting and rerolling. Get the 100 coster then save enough to pity Setia. Easy enough just doing beginner stuff. Depending on time available (both personally and how long Setia is).
It is! It smooths out a lot once you are playing for a couple of months. The most important things to start: don't underestimate vision cards, and build upwards at first (1-2 elements), not outwards!
Thanks for the video, especially as it highlights how much stuff you get to catch up at the start for an account. I have a day 1 account that I let sit for a year and I have a lot of vis saved up for Setia. But getting shards for King Mont and Glaciela (Regalia), who I picked up in various new years banners, has been a slow painful slog. Any advice for how to build them up other than just being on the look out for select tickets when they're available? It's just funny that with all of the new resources that you get on a fresh account it's way easier for me to have Golbez and some friends at max level and working on EX.
I'd say Cloud & Charlotte are still doing VERY well even with the Earth/Light spikes after. Cloud + Charlotte + Ibara is one of the top meta teams. Similarly, Setia + KMont + Terra will be a VERY strong team for 6+ months. Fire will get two strong supporting VCs with this route. Rerolling for Light/Water would net you at most 1 supporting VC over the next 4-5 months (not even best in class VCs either). It would take you 4-6 months to build any others you pull (Thanks for Votes, Carbuncle, etc. IF you pull them at the start). In my opinion, this is THE best units/VCs combo to reroll for in the near future!
Excellent guide. Unfortunately, I went on with my first lasswell 99 and i got glaciela regalia. I didnt try for cetia. So, now stuck with a team of lasswell(120), glacelia(stuck at 79, cant seem to find her shards other than hard quests), kain stuck at 107(also hard to find his shards) and Charlotte at 107(will 120 soon). No proper VC, No proper Espers, Only "beginner only" equips. I am going through Lucio quests and building him also. I did pull Oberon and ruin stern recently but havent built them yet. Currently, sitting with 8k visiors only. Any advices on how to proceed would be helpful. Been almost a month playing. Thanks.
I started 4 days ago during ffvi collab and managed to pull both terra and celes during terra's 9 step. Currently working on maxing terra out and waiting for her vision card.I'm thinking of building a rainbow team first with terra, celes, mr mont, locke and shadowlynx (the two mr are required for some bingo missions) then im planning to go fire since I have both king mont and glaciela regalia, what do you guys think?
The number of fire awakening prisms on that page is staggering, let alone all the other materials needed. Plus maxing Luartha in less than two months with only guild medals would be a challenge. I think 3 months would be a more realistic goal.
I was basing this a little off my AuronnK account (which I played only slightly longer than 50 days) which had 120 Cloud, 120 Charlotte, 120 Black Witch Helena, 99 Frederika. I agree the awakening prisms could be tight though. You'd likely have to exchange other elements, or use the friend shop!
Hi! i just saw this now and decided to reset my account and follow this guide, then the RNGsus blessed me and i managed to get Glaciela(Regalia), Cetia and Rain in my 2nd reroll. my question is who do i pick now from my UR select Ticket?
I would add that for new players you should hold off on spending too much viz on Rain until his weapon comes around. He is only good as a tank without his weapon, and if you have King Mont, you wouldn't really need a weaponless Rain as a tank. I selected Rain as my starting 99 and tbh he's been a dead weight in events because his attacks scale off of magic and he can only use great sword. The only great sword that is magic is Rain's own sword, which is not obtainable outside of certain events.
But I've nvr regretted buidling him to 120 for classic glassy. A solid tank all round its just gis dmg is lacking since he does not have spr penetration.
Eh, you don't build Rain for damage. He and King Mont fill different roles. Rain is a magic tank. Give him spirit and magic resist gear/espers (Smart Coat, Fenrir, etc.) and he is great. I've run him with no weapon, only defensive gear and he soaks Esper 3* quests, Nightmare quests, etc. extremely well. He's very clearly not going to be part of your PvP plans. He's there for PvE against magic damage, and I would argue he doesn't need his sword for that!
I actually did reroll several times in the past. I got one Account where i started off with 99 rain, and got Kind Mont + Glacie. It was rough getting EX jobs for 3 fire units. And they haven't really Poped off. For raids and trials hasn't been very strong. Setia looks amazing. But I do wonder if Terra fits better with a Fire Slash team for PvE. PvP seems to come after PvE for raid items. And getting proper VCs to 99 is just... impossible as new player. Makes PvP like picking on newbies or losing to players who have 99 vcs espers etc. One of my favorite Rerolls.
Just started this week pulled rain first 99 and got Cetia on one pull no tank yet though and they just went on maintenance. Is it too late for this strategy.
I actually started early, I made 4 baby accounts with mont & glaciela by taking advantage of the free 10 ur pulls that just passed. Only thing I pulled on them so far is demon wall vc. So hopefully one of these four accounts gets lucky doesn’t have to pity cause there are good VCs and espers on them 😂😂😂 Also if any of them don’t end up being used I can actually switch some of them into water account cause of ildyra & pharm were pulled 😂 Actually took half a day to get these accounts. Only reason I’m doing this is cause my main acc dark only farms now can’t really beat any light teams 😭
I’m planning to follow this guide but I want to re roll efficiently to save time. I think they give you around 6k viz as a new player right off the bat so do I have to just go through the story for the other 4-6k and then roll?
After several rerolls, managed to get Cetia on the 1st pull of her banner. Wondering if you would recommend just focusing on her? (didn't manage to get King Mont or Glaciela Regalia)
There is no guarantee Cetia comes out next week either.... no countdown medals for her and next week is close to Valentines. Not saying it wont be Cetia but there honestly is no telling what might happen.
Will king mont have his own banner during this release? Or am I just trying to get lucky with the free UR tickets? Also is it possible to start now and gathering visore ? Or should I wait until the Setia banner starts?
Why not just go all in with Light? Far more cost effective at this point. Even Cecil would be a good investment with the release of Alstoria, Joker and URBig Leela. He provides the cover the evade light units need. You get Cecil, free Lucio, free Locke, free Thancred for your almost full handout Raid team and all you'd have to do is pull for Violet or Elena when a fest happens and you'd have a great setup. Not to mention the powerhouses that Englebert and Fina are. Even Elsirelle EX has potential via crippling enemies with increased AP costs by 50% with her J25 skill? Just some food for thought in a easier path than trying to to force Fire to do more work than it can.
I think the problem for new players and this team would be gear and vision cards. No locked & loaded vision cards to help, and evasion units would need Winter Coat / Ninja Garb / Ribbon. Besides, you could still have Locke + Thancred + Lucio + Engelbert + Fina on the side for this Fire team (build as second team, perhaps?). Thanks for watching!
@@NerdNight All they need are Flash of Insight and Secrets of the Heart. Elena's VC is great but it does the same job. The bigger reason is also all the Light VCs from FF14 are being rerun as well, so what's the deal with the VCs? It's also a physical based comp that doesn't need Bahamut and at most you could say Flash of Insight is the BiS but it's also a extremely good VC either way.

Congrats! That's amazing! You have 6 days to max out Cetia, so make sure you keep grabbing her shards up and pushing story. Then save up for Terra!
Ouf got Rain from first pull, and King Mont on Cetia banner and Cetia just after. Number of attempt 55!
