You have some time to decide on Joker - you don't for Golbez and Duane. Plus global will have Elena + VC to contend with. To put my Cabbage hat on for a second, just because it is meta in JP does NOT mean it will be meta in Global!
@@NerdNight Fair but Cabbage is also an arrogant boob so I dont consider it gospel. If anything, dark might be stronger with Maidens VC 35% luck/35% dex and slash pen. Elena is strong but how strong is she if Leela can dispel hate on Engelbert and she has a 0% chance to dodge? Definitely doesnt sound as scary then.

i would like to add that imo i think light is actually the best team to build rn putting aside water, majorly due to locke and thancred being basically free 120s, you can focus vis towards elena and her vc and light specific vc's are a dime a dozen in this game and for new acc specifically there is 2 free 99 units 1 from tutorial banner (forgot name but its a light element mage) and u can get the light tank einglebert from a new acc banner that hes on so light is off with almost a full team of 99/120 units
All of a sudden, having 60k saved vis seems woefully underprepared. Haha, I’m assuming Celes will have to remain the goal of ffvi, but it may be prudent to hold off til Monday news update. >.

Nice video man! Started playing three days ago, I'm grinding a lot trying to reach for last step on vis banner, so I haven´t start to spend in pulls yet. My priority as a new player should be Cloud, then?
It depends...If you DIDN'T reroll for a specific unit, as a new player you can look at the vision cards you pulled with your free beginner's pulls and free UR summons and let that tell you what direction to go. I think the best current play for new players is Celes, then Alstoria (in about a month). :) Cloud is great and you won't regret him (and you may pull some other FF collaboration units along the way). HOWEVER, you can't get matching vision cards/gear like Scorpion Sentinel and Buster Sword right now. Ultimately, try to hit that last step on the vis banner, and you can also wait to see what the "new" global exclusive will be. Celes is around for 4 weeks, so there's no hurry to pull on anything right away!
@@NerdNight After a lot of grinding I hit that last step on vis banner and then I bought the 3 ur guaranteed tickets of beginner shop and bought some paid vis to do the 100 cost ur unit maxed banner pull and got Oberon. The other units I have right now don't are very good according to your last tier list video. And for the UR VC I pulled Shiva, echoing screams, Lasswell's, astrologer, the great stag, blossom banquet and maidens of the rose. Do you think I should focus on earth or pull for a good unit like Celes? Which unit should I pick with the ur selecting free pull? Thanks a lot man!
Depends what tools you have for Kain. If you have the Wind Spear + Demon Wall, you probably won't upgrade TOO much with Golbez. However, he does provide the flexibility to run Helena + Golbez + (Kain/Duane) depending on the situation. It's a tough call!
I'm waiting to see what that new unit will be. there's only a few ppl from FFBE that would make me want to absolutely get them. Lid, Karlotte, Madam Edel, Lorren or Kryla.

if you have the Vis go for Celes. Crystal Units(Alstoria) banner will always comeback from time to time. Collab units more or less a year and Celes is a top tier unit tank.

Been saving for a bit now with full intent on Celes. Now with the GL exclusive in the mix, I am unsure if I want to go full pity on Celes. Maybe I will just get lucky and make the decision easier! Also wanting to somehow grab both FF14 cards, but with no bingo it makes it a little more expensive.

Good point! I'm not sure I would pull for Tidus at all anymore. But yes, if you are on a visiore crunch AND still want Yuna and some other things, you could potentially hold off on Yuna for now.

Edit: Still going for Tifa as she is ranked low but creates havoc in battles, pkus wind is a premium element where in all good units are limited ones, same thing goes for water. I think he's just focusing base on the release, that's why it seems other limited units aside from persona collab are much important to think about since they're releasing and rerunning right now and maybe we can still farm and save a lot visiores for joker after the anniversary.
I honestly think that I might skip on Terra, and go for Elena or Ibara. But I don't have Renan, and Ibara with Renan is the strongest magic duo so far. I do have Jayden though, and Elena, Jayden, Locke is going to be OP as hell, Im pretty sure.
You don't HAVE to have Renan as MetaF2P says. If you have Jayden, I think Elena + her card is a no-brainer though with Locke also being so cheap to build. Skipping Terra depends on what you have for Fire, but it you'll probably see more return from Elena.

I highly doubt that Nier Automata and Tomb Raider will be getting reruns during the 2nd Anniversary cuz it only said FF titles but they both could get reruns in the near future cuz both of them have anime series coming out and I feel like that Square Enix would want to bring them back as a way to promote them and also I feel like someone like Lara Croft will get a major bump up in power and usage because of TMR enhancements and she’s pretty straightforward on what enhancements she wants on her with those being evasion, critical damage, and missile attack and plus if you wanna run Astoria with the Sniper sub job then Lara Croft can be a good partner for him, I currently use her in Guild Battle and she is really good and has even won 1v1s with the likes of Black Witch Helena.
I doubt Lara will get a rerun, but it will be interesting to see how she is used in global, especially with the sniper option you mentioned on Alstoria and her card (Lara + Winter Vik + Alstroria? Doesn't sound too bad...) Thanks for watching!

I'm pretty sure the upcoming dark meta is dominated by the combination of Leela and Joker... so passing Joker for Leela feels like you're not gonna have the best dark comp you could.
My money is on fire or ice as a GL unit's element. Fire spear with mag mod would drive my entire plans away from water and back into fire... And I bet it'd be the weakest GL unit ever ahah

Oh boy. A lot to correct here. Not as bad as the disastrous TMR tier list but here goes. 1. Fire: IF you are pulling Terra then her card is absolutely a must pull. Frankly her card is better than Terra. Especially considering that the global fest unit might be fire, better to wait to pull Terra until you see the new global fest. Also, real value of death machine is the niche but very useful esper. Dark: by far the worst. Don’t pull Golbez. Duane is half rate and no longer top of the meta. Joker is super accurate and will be more meta and a must pull over both of those easily. And full rate. Ice: Freyvia’s card is much better than maniple as it has unique properties , especially hate. Especially if you plan to use Freyrvia. Also probably cheaper since we were able to buy for 50 medals last fest. Maniple is easily substituted and just not great because ice pierce isn’t a thing. Also Vellis >> Aranea but half rate as stated. Rest of the elements are pretty much spot on with a few weird things like Locke not being top priority or scions of twilight so low.
1. Agreed. If you pull Terra, get her card. The card will be in use on most Fire PvP teams for a long time. 2. It will depend a lot on what Duane's banner looks like. Not pulling for Golbez? He's such a valuable unit for PvE, and allows such great flexibility for PvP to pair with Helena. Joker's primary use is counter-evade. You also have time to decide on Joker. You don't for Golbez. 3. I wonder if they will give out Fryevia's card to new players? I wouldn't be spending visiore to chase it, if not. As stated, Maniple is to pair with Aranea but AoE and Crit Rate are great secondary bonuses to boot.
@@NerdNight Fair points. I still think Golbez is not what you want. Kain is actually better for PVP IMO and he has a much better TMR. But I know how much you are down on his TMR. However, I could see Golbez as a good pull for new players who dont have BRH/Hleela/Ildyra etc for farming.

Remember that the Celes banner should be around for a month, so if there's something else you want to grab first, you can do that!

I think they will. They still have to add Valefor in global. This means if you HAVE to hold off on FFX units you can get them again in 3 months.

Oh boy. A lot to correct here. Not as bad as the disastrous TMR tier list but here goes.
1. Fire: IF you are pulling Terra then her card is absolutely a must pull. Frankly her card is better than Terra. Especially considering that the global fest unit might be fire, better to wait to pull Terra until you see the new global fest. Also, real value of death machine is the niche but very useful esper.
Dark: by far the worst. Don’t pull Golbez. Duane is half rate and no longer top of the meta. Joker is super accurate and will be more meta and a must pull over both of those easily. And full rate.
Ice: Freyvia’s card is much better than maniple as it has unique properties , especially hate. Especially if you plan to use Freyrvia. Also probably cheaper since we were able to buy for 50 medals last fest. Maniple is easily substituted and just not great because ice pierce isn’t a thing. Also Vellis >> Aranea but half rate as stated.
Rest of the elements are pretty much spot on with a few weird things like Locke not being top priority or scions of twilight so low.
1. Agreed. If you pull Terra, get her card. The card will be in use on most Fire PvP teams for a long time.
2. It will depend a lot on what Duane's banner looks like. Not pulling for Golbez? He's such a valuable unit for PvE, and allows such great flexibility for PvP to pair with Helena. Joker's primary use is counter-evade. You also have time to decide on Joker. You don't for Golbez.
3. I wonder if they will give out Fryevia's card to new players? I wouldn't be spending visiore to chase it, if not. As stated, Maniple is to pair with Aranea but AoE and Crit Rate are great secondary bonuses to boot.
@@NerdNight Fair points. I still think Golbez is not what you want. Kain is actually better for PVP IMO and he has a much better TMR. But I know how much you are down on his TMR. However, I could see Golbez as a good pull for new players who dont have BRH/Hleela/Ildyra etc for farming.
