5:10 was hilarious! The catcher and pitcher were both oblivious, so the runner didn't want to draw attention to himself. Would have been even funnier if he just stood around and delayed stepping on home as long as possible.
I know the Khris Davis one was ultimately overturned but the fact that it was that close... I had to put it on the list. He was called out by the umpires and it took a replay review to overturn. Don’t do that!
Yeah but you can't tell me that the umpire saw him miss the plate. It was way too close for them to call it. Review it, maybe. But the umpire better be damn sure he kissed it for him to make that call, and he could not have been because they reversed it. it.
I don't understand the Kris Davis one. When a home run is hit, the batter has to go around the bases. But unless there's a time limit on how long the runner has to do this, then couldn't Davis have simply went back out and touched home. Even 5 minutes later.
@@dfm-fn1qg,no big deal brother, I'm not one to get on here and make a big deal out of nothing. I remember reading about Casey Stengal when he managed the Mets in their inaugural season, and they were terrible. A player hit a triple, the other team appealed, saying he'd not touched first. He was called out and he came out to argue. The second base umpire came over and said he didn't touch second, either. Stengal said, "Well, I know he had to touch third, cause he's standing on it!"
The first one with Hanley Ramirez is heads up play by Hanley, but ABSOLUTELY AWFUL umpiring by the first base umpire. He had no clue what was going on and wasnt looking at what he should have been looking at and was out of position. As an umpire thats just disheartening to see. Obviously he wasnt paying attention before the pitch was, nor running through his checklists.
Wayde Baker your not an umpire that’s bullshit. He was watching and had to make a call but fucked up and realized he was wrong and was waiting for an appeal. As an umpire you fuck up some times it happens you would know that if you were an umpire. He knows more about the game than you and me.

@@sushimemestar2210 No, the umpire did nothing wrong. The umpire knew the bag was missed and was waiting for the first baseman to make a proper appeal by telling the him the runner missed the bag.

5:42 You can see the bag move. He touched it with his toe. Looks like white powder puffs out too. Let me remind everyone, there's no white line between 2nd and 3rd. lol
You can add Ryan Howard at home plate in the 2009 World Series (can't remember which game, but in Philly)... ump called it correctly. That is, no call at all (no safe sign), until Posada throws the ball to 2nd base to try to get another runner. At that point, the Yankees can't appeal any more, so the run counts... then the ump waves safe.
Larry Copeland, the defense does not lose the right to appeal during continuous action. If what you say is true, (and it's not), a defensive team could never make an appeal for the apparent fourth out.
5:00 I thought the umpire was supposed to signal "Safe" in this situation as the catcher did not tag the runner. The defense can then appeal the play and the runner is called out. Not making a call tips off the runner that he missed home plate.

This happened to me in little league back in the day. I touched home plate after my teammate hit a base hit to the outfield. I was on third and ran home. The ump, who was frequently drunk during little league games, claimed that my heel didn’t touch home plate when I ran in. My coach went ballistic. Awwww. The 80’s were great. Haha.
Missed Aaron Judge failing to retouch 2nd after rounding to go back to 1st before the ball gets back there. Amazing situational play. He even tried to steal 2nd to get there before the ball.
