just had an idea. if there was a way someone could build a plugin which everybody can download, the plugin will mark another player, visible for everybody to see, showing a percentage likelihood that somebody is using client, either the plugin can extract information from runelite itself to see how many active plugins a person is using or some other type of method to determine if a person is using client or not. I'm talking the plugin will show them walking around with a red cross over their head. or we could have a community based voting system which people can upload short clips to and the community will vote and dissect footage to determine if somebody is a cheater or not and this can again be flagged to others. will require alot of effort but we can take action into our own hands. This is just a rough brainstorm can figure out way this cant be abused, maybe same type of system we have with clan chats, rankings etc. monthly gp fee to be paid to creator of the plugin

just lost 800m in the past 4 months @rev caves when i went on a PvP experience as a maxed total main. What makes me sad is that probably 70-80% of that gp most likely went to a criminals or cheaters rather than enthusiastic players that honed their pvp skills and outdueled me and got rewarded for it.
I started trying to pk and stopped because it was so hard to tell who is cheating and who isn't when you're new. Hopium that they fix it by some miracle someday so I can try again.

And the only reason I was able to beat fight caves is because of runelite plugins literally telling me where to stand, and which mob was spawning next. External plugins literally feel like you’re cheating so I can only imagine how bad it is in pk situations.
I made a pure over the course of like3-4 months for BH pking and boy was I not ready to experience how brutal that was. The path to entry is insane. Every single person is cracked. I don’t even play my pure anymore because it just became not fun anymore.
You know what’s wild. My last account got permanently banned for undeniable evidence of “macroing or botting”. I’ve never macroed or botted and I was just ranging moss giants.

I won a few fights and then got insta shit on a few times, and looking back, i think out of the 5 deaths in a row that discouraged me from playing, 3 of those were very likely to be cheaters. The other 2 def were just better than me. But regardless it just put me off from playing

There's definitely some plugins that shouldn't be allowed... Even for pvm. The Hunlleff helper is a good example, a plugin that tells you exactly when and what to pray, when they already removed a similar plug in for Demonic gorillas because it was too overpowered. There's others too, I personally think even radius markers is really strong with being able to tag akkha forms different colors. Also essentially telling you what to pray. The left click construction update is crazy too, seems heavily influenced by the reign of plugins.

The whole point Asmon is making is that when in the hands of a skilled player, lets say hypothetically someone as good as Oda being enhanced by a bot. "Oda,s insane knowledge, gamesense, ect" with always never incorrect perfect tics in all situations. He would never lose. Vs someone afk, or not a person also contrllling the bot, he can win. But not if its someone as good as him.
I think Jagex on OS does just enough to make it look like they are doing something but not enough to impact the profits that these bot accounts make Jagex in membership fees. Very few if any bots on RS3 but there are microtransactions there to make Jagex the money they would have made from bots. Way way back, Jagex implemented a system that automatically detects bots and it pretty much killed all bots off. Why don't they implement this on OS? Maybe they will with the new runescape client they are building, but I doubt it.

The game has been dead. It's over 50% bots. Most players quit already. If there was 10% players and 90% bots, you probably wouldn't even notice.
