Dear Cass, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. Not just for all you do, but most importantly, how you do it. You do it despite struggles, despite ADHD, despite the real, human conditions that affect all of us. You are relatable, inspiring and pretty damn funny to boot. I’m not your most vocal subscriber but I follow and follow hard because this journey isn’t just a one and done. It’s every single day with every single change that happens in our lives. So thank you for coming on here and being a cheerleader, a taskmaster and a shoulder to cry one. Merry Christmas and Happiest of New Year’s for you and your family.
@@ClutterbugI was going to say the something. All the good things are true. Please know that this is also beneficial to people with limitation issues and ADD or ADHD. Have a beautiful, blessed Christmas sending you and your family much love.❤❤
Cas, I have to correct you on this one. I disagree VERY MUCH that you are not a "hard worker"! You are one of the hardest workers I've ever seen! You are simply amazing!!!
I loved this video, super I had a misfortune, I was diagnosed with ovariian cancedr. I also created a channel and am trying to move in that direction, but so far not very successful(jyf
In 2009, I was given a challenge. My husband and I created a website for his high school alumni. He wanted to borrow some yearbook pictures to supplement articles he added to the website. The librarian said he could borrow the collection for the summer. So, he asked if I could scan all the yearbooks in one summer. YIKES! I said I would try. So, my wonderful daughter offered to help. We split the "pile" between odds and evens. Then I grabbed a calendar, and back planned with the newest volume to the oldest. It was 2 years each day, weekends off, and we managed to get all of the books done minus 80 pages. Today, I call it the TORCH system in honor of those yearbooks. I will be focusing on each item I want to accomplish and "make an appointment" every day.
I would like to add to what you were saying about “in the event of a car accident…” I have worked both as an insurance adjuster and now in a personal injury attorney’s office and I’ve seen that many people’s vehicles are hit by other vehicles after the first impact. IF YOU ARE IN A CAR ACCIDENT PLEASE KEEP YOUR SEAT BELT ON UNTIL IT IS SAFE TO TAKE IT OFF. I’ve had cases where the person is killed by a subsequent impact - either because they took their seatbelt off and someone hit their car or they actually exited the car and were hit as a pedestrian. Be careful out there!!
I loved this video, super I had a misfortune, I was diagnosed with ovariian cancedr. I also created a channel and am trying to move in that direction, but so far not very successful(DS
Thank you sooo much I needed this today. I have anxiety and depression and yes ADD.😂😂😂it’s rough because of my fibromyalgia and I want to do so much and I start them I get in a funk or distracted and overwhelmed with everything and I give up and my whole life feels cluttered. So thank you soooooo much and congratulations lady firefighter. I remember watching your video about your interest and goal to be one. Bless you and your family and I wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and a safe, prosperous and healthy New Year. Thanks again.
Cass, I am so excited to begin the North Star method. So simple. Count this among your most appreciated offerings (of which there are very many, by my count). Looking forward to showing off in 2025. Thank you for everything. You are a blessing.
I figured out mine after lots of thinking. My North Star is to feel strong and healthy so I can enjoy and have fun . Walked and drank water first thing this morning . Day 3 after falling off the habit for 6 weeks
Literly put a night shift in when the family went to bed decluttering the kitchen, then I got some catchers for the places we dump stuff and a upstairs/ downstairs baskets. I've hardly started and our home is staying cleaner for a lot less already...
The advice about supplies in your car is good for anyone. I live in FL and even though drinking water out of a plastic bottle that has been in a hot car isn't ideal, it beats being dehydrated in the hot summer months. When I lived in California, my boss taught me to keep a tote in the trunk of the car with supplies such as flat shoes and more in case of an earthquake (plus they do have cold winters so your tips also apply). Thanks for the planner and workbook!
Perfect timing! I'm actually giving all of my closest friends emergency car kits for Christmas tonight! I'm even "wrapping" them with the blanket for the kit and ribbon.
I loved this video, super I had a misfortune, I was diagnosed with ovariian cancedr. I also created a channel and am trying to move in that direction, but so far not very successful(lhq
Thanks again for all the advice, encouragement and laughs. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and peaceful 2025. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍🙏💐🎄
Thanks to you, my routines are easier. My sister came to visit. She got married and moved to Indiana. She misses Pennsylvania. Their goal is to move her home. I get up and pick up around the house. I get my coffee. She and her husband come downstairs, grab their coffee, and greet me. Breakfast is on the hot plate. The stove is being phased out for a new one which arrives tomorrow. The old one is getting recycled. She bought us a turkey. I already have a roast thawing for Christmas. I told her we can roast the turkey on their last day here. They can take leftovers for the road. They liked that idea. I like your idea, but I do that anyhow.
Great tip at the end!!! A couple years ago I researched and purchased most of the recommended items to keep in a vehicle incase of emergency. My truck (and it's toolbox in the bed) are now totally organized with most things I could possibly need, including an axe & hatchet, car fire extinguisher, first aid kit, tool kit, work gloves, road reflectors and orange vests, head lamps, battery jump starter, tire traction tracks, foil blankets, hot hands, ponchos, hand crank radio/flashlight, tire inflator, and more. I cant believe how much of it has already come in handy and I love driving down the road feeling prepared to help myself or others
Bless you. Your positive energy is the reason I turn to TH-cam. Other people disappoint me so, that I have no other ambition than to make it through this moment. Spent the last 5+ years trying to hire someone who has a clue, so recently decided to go with someone fresh out of the military who was eager to learn a trade & had actually been hungry, only to learn that he’s terrified of spiders, snakes, heights, cats, & god knows what else. Not the qualifications needed for working outside.

You’re mistaken❣️ You can’t do everything you do and be LAZY❣️ And… by the way, if time travel were possible, you would figure out how to do it❣️ Pat yourself on the back because you deserve it. 🥰❣️
Thank you for all you have done for me over the last few years. My house is a million times better. I think I’ll use the North Star approach for my struggling home business.
Thanks so much for sharing this. I've been out of commission for the last 8 weeks since ankle surgery. I'm feeling overwhelmed by how much I want/need to get done once I'm on two feet again and, probably having ADHD myself, I'm looking at the whole zoo! Thanks for sharing this simple yet efficient method, and for the 30 day challenge reminder. I hope you have a fabulous holiday and fantastic new year!
Oh oh oh, in addition to that, I could put all that small goals on slips of paper and put them in a fish bowl, like Jamie Chaotic. Then I'll draw one task every day. That'll make the whole thing into a game for me and is more fun.
This was such a good topic! I'm going to make my NorthStar (love the name) "Decluttering" and do 10 items each day. The 10 items can be things to donate or trash. I'm going to start tomorrow because I need a few extra days in case I get sick next year and can't do a day. Doing 10 items a day will be 3,650 by next Christmas. This actually motivates me 🎉 Cas, I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas🎇✝️🎄🎁
2:10 The brain dump is where my perfectionist tendancies and my ADHD decision paralysis tendancies clash. You might talk about that later, but it's what I'm thinking right now.
Love this! My North Star will be the same as yours- health/weightless. What podcast are you listening to for encouragement? Need some good motivational podcast/ TH-cam channels for 2025! Cheers to a healthy 2025!!🎉
Wow! I’ve never seen one of your videos just minutes after it goes up. I hope you see this Cas… Your videos, honest interest in changing people’s lives and your brilliant ideas have honestly changed my mindset and approach to decluttering and organization. I struggled for years with no real progress while accumulating more things. You’re brilliant! Thank you! Happy Holidays from sunny LA!
Cass, thank you for your encouragement and great advice throughout the year. Thank you for the great stories that you tell to brighten our day. You ARE definitely a hard worker. Great advice... I'm actually trying to get things together to put in my car for an emergency kit.. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!
Yes to keeping an emergency winter kit in the car! I have an extra parka, water, food, space blankets, etc. in my car. Each year we lose people to exposure when their cars go off the road around here. Happy Holidays to you and yours!🎄🎄🎄
Another amazing mind blowing concept- I have wondered how you have accomplished so much- as a fellow ADHD'er I can get so overwhelmed by everything I want to do and then I end up not doing anything- but I can do one thing a day! I am excited to pick my North Star- and I LOVE the name- Thank you for all you do- you have helped to change my life. Seriously.
Cas, add 'The Casual Preppers Podcast' to your list - easy, laid back prepping, think you'll like them! Also love this North Star idea. Multi-tasking is apparently a no-no, we should all be single tasking now and your system looks ideal to help with that. Thank you and Merry Christmas! 🧑🎄🧑🎄🎄🎄
So, I've noticed over the years, that being "disorganized" can be more of an identity, than a fact. AND that people have different definitions. I have a friend who started calling me after our 45th HS reunion. She LOVES to help people declutter. (She's never followed or read books, it just comes naturally) she drove 180 miles to visit/help, etc. She brought me a bag of gifts from Hobby Lobby, with 7 unneeded, but thoughtful Knick knacks. 🤦🏻♀️. She questioned me on stuff I was keeping & it was borderline unpleasant, so I turned it into a "hangout" visit & we went shopping & out to lunch, etc. When I went to HER house to visit, she had a lot of cupboard & storage space & had 56 coffee mugs in her cupboard! She had many book cases & shelves, full of collections & Knick knacks! She's never used her dishwasher because she uses it to store her kitchen gadgets! We had fun figuring out what they were all for.
Yes, so important to have an emerg kit. Thanks for always pointing us in the right direction with great tips & tricks & workbook. Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to you & your fam!!
Another year worth of THANKS to you Cass! You are so helpful and impactful and generous. You're an incredible gal! 🥰 All the best to you and your family in '2026'!! 😁
Love this, Cass - ordering a journal to track my exercise, and my progress on decluttering - as well as just writing stuff! Also inspired me to create emergency kits for my vehicles!
Hey I do something similar! Maybe it was you I can't remember but someone said have 3 things you will focus on doing every day and it works great for me! I realized that the dishes cleaning etc will always get done so I do the most important thing first! Also your organizing style (or many styles!) has been the game changer for me, thanks so much.
I still use a to-do list most days with 3 items, but my North Star isn't a to-do, it's a must-do! The great thing is, once I kind of achieve that goal and make it a habit, I get to add a new one!
Merry Christmas Cass! .I am that person, all over the place and I am such a list person. I grabbed the Automic Habit and plan to start reading it after Christmas. I will try your North Star planning ❤ Wow! You are taking a year off😮😂😂😂 love ya Cass! 🎉stay warm 😉
Cas, please share your plans for getting fit and healthy in 2025! I'm sure that there are a lot of us that would love to follow along with you! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I just want to thank you for all that you do. You are awesome. Since you mentioned health and fitness for 2025, I wanted to suggest Yoga with Adriene. She has 30 day series so it’s easy to schedule a month of workouts. Her mantra is “Find what feels good” and she provides a lot of options if you think you can’t do yoga. I highly recommend. Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year! Congratulations on 1 million subscribers too. Love you, you are the best.❤
Thank you for all you do for your viewers I know we all appreciate you and the work you do. Thanks for the North Star planning this is new to me have never heard of this but with being recently diagnosed with adhd I believe this will help me get tasks done, so thank you!! Does anyone know where to get the 30 day challenge worksheet and videos she had mentioned? Thanks
Thank you so much for validating what I've gone through my entire life. I know that I'm not less than because of my ADHD, but being different from everyone else has been hard. You are an amazing woman, and I'm so fortunate to have found you! Better late than never!!😊
Thank you so much for this amazing Christmas gif Dear Cass you are my savior and my insparation 😘💋Thank youuuu🙏 Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for Spain 💝☺🎄🎅
insurance or tow companies never say leave the car or stay they say stay where you feel safe as really neither is safe, a liability issue if they tell you to do either. if a winter crash on a highway its highly likely ppl behind didn't leave space and going far too fast to avoid hitting you/others. emergency kits def important ... even in the city you can freeze waiting for a tow btdt ( had 40 below sleeping bag and reg one and I was still cold) , larger disasters it can take several hrs to get to you..., food , water/drinks, emergency candle/lighter, warm clothing, blankets, 1st aid kit, seatbelt cutter/window smasher ( tho newer windows it might not work) etc you never know when something can happen and get stranded somewhere. my hubs relative died when they shut down the 401 many yrs ago...he got to a farmhouse and didn't make it back to the truck... he was adamant about getting to work... but we did kits before that happened. in summer we still have snacks/drinks, but also towels, bathing suits, change of clothes... if we take a trip to the beach we are ready. or get side tracked shopping longer than expected/ or trip and I start to get hangry. plus feminine hygiene products, if you have babies... extra diapers, potty etc too.
North Star is genius! I update my vision board every new year, but the North Star is a step above. I need to identify a goal first and develop a strategy. You are so creative. Your advice to stock my car with mittens and blanket is important. I’m in Pennsylvania, this morning the temperature was 0 F. Not as cold as Canada, but it is still cold! Btw, how is the truck driving going? Have they let you drive the fire truck yet? Next thing you will be learning how to drive the back end of a ladder truck! My uncle was a firefighter and drove the back of the ladder truck….. a few funny stories (or not so funny stories). Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🙋♀️
Tukes!!! 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 Some of us in the U.S. know about those from Bob and Dave McKenzie way back when. Otherwise, even up here in Wisconsin no one calls them that. But you make a good point that we should have one in the car at all times in the winter! 😂
Try your library, or a digital online version like Libby. I also found a yoga show on PBS. Maybe serve your TV guide page for yoga. That probably requires cable. Good Luck!
@@kimarmstrong9161there loads on TH-cam. Just put in beginner’s yoga or if you what to target a certain area. Scroll through till you find someone you like
Great idea! I have ADHD too and this seems like one of the better hacks for us to reach our goals. That being said, who eats zoo animals? Poor critters! lol
What about something you need to do but can't get moving on it. Like you feel frozen. Getting it done will take away stress and give freedom but you just can't get it finished.

I have this book to read too!
Cas, please share your plans for getting fit and healthy in 2025! I'm sure that there are a lot of us that would love to follow along with you! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Merry Christmas 🎄
I absolutely LOVE Mel and Tony ❤
Cas, you do not look like a zombie. You look amazing!
Would love a video on your Emergency Vehicle Kit once it's complete! 🙌
Hi Cass, this was an amazing video. I’m definitely gonna put this into play in 2025 merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thanks
Health and fitness are my north star also!

I hit a dear today on way home. I wasn't prepared. ❤ I'm going to fix that. Great video. I'm ok😊
Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope you're okay!
I'm going to try this. Thank you Cass!
Cass, THANK YOU !!!!! I was coming to purchase my northstar planner and ITS FREE!!! 😢 thank you !!!
insurance or tow companies never say leave the car or stay they say stay where you feel safe as really neither is safe, a liability issue if they tell you to do either. if a winter crash on a highway its highly likely ppl behind didn't leave space and going far too fast to avoid hitting you/others.
emergency kits def important ... even in the city you can freeze waiting for a tow btdt ( had 40 below sleeping bag and reg one and I was still cold) , larger disasters it can take several hrs to get to you..., food , water/drinks, emergency candle/lighter, warm clothing, blankets, 1st aid kit, seatbelt cutter/window smasher ( tho newer windows it might not work) etc you never know when something can happen and get stranded somewhere. my hubs relative died when they shut down the 401 many yrs ago...he got to a farmhouse and didn't make it back to the truck... he was adamant about getting to work... but we did kits before that happened.
in summer we still have snacks/drinks, but also towels, bathing suits, change of clothes... if we take a trip to the beach we are ready. or get side tracked shopping longer than expected/ or trip and I start to get hangry. plus feminine hygiene products, if you have babies... extra diapers, potty etc too.
Good tip Cas!!!!! (emergency kit)
Great video 😊
Thank you for sharing Cass. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 💚💚💚💚💚💚
Thank you sooooo much for your inspiration! I have severe ADHD so this is my new perfect place. Are you doing a 30 day challenge?
thanks a million
Thankyou for sharing ❤🎄🎁🎈🎊
Tukes!!! 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 Some of us in the U.S. know about those from Bob and Dave McKenzie way back when. Otherwise, even up here in Wisconsin no one calls them that. But you make a good point that we should have one in the car at all times in the winter! 😂
You, young lady are the best xx
Great video! Wishing you a Merry Christmas! 🎄❤️
Cas, need details on what to listen to to change health mindset.
YES, please! ...trying to get started with yoga, but doing it at home. Anyone know a good, FREE source of videos? Thanks, Cas, for the motivation!!
Scroll through till you find someone you like
Thank you
North Star 🌟 Thank you Cass 🤗
I had a baby two weeks ago so my North Star is to lose weight. Already lost 30lbs( 7lb7oz baby included),30 to go.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing ❤
This is brilliant!
Great idea! I have ADHD too and this seems like one of the better hacks for us to reach our goals. That being said, who eats zoo animals? Poor critters! lol
Thanks so much, where can I find the links, please ?
What about something you need to do but can't get moving on it. Like you feel frozen. Getting it done will take away stress and give freedom but you just can't get it finished.
Thank you for all your tips and help. I signed up for one of your classes and never got access to it. Have been cluttered and unable to find a way to access it. Any help from your team would be great.
